A new beginning

It was spring.. Tia walked along the busy street close to her house, trying to avoid every single person, ...It has been a year she lost her beloved father, who died while he was on a business trip far away from home. He had an accident , and passed right away without getting the chance to say goodbye to his loved ones..

"I wish dad was here", Tia sighs.. She keeps saying these words over and over again, the only regret she ever had was not being able to do anything for her dad. ...

Coming back home, she greets her mother with a smile, deep down she knew that she is not the only one suffering, and that both of them are trying to put up a fake smile so as not to hurt each other.. This continued for over a year..Her life was slowly becoming dull as she was going more depressed , and she had cut off every connection with the outside world..

...One evening, Dina (an old family friend) comes visits her, and offers a job ,

"Tia, i know a company who needs an employee, the work is not hard and the salary is good too, maybe it will help you move on and help you cheer up.. !",Dina said...

Tia did not liked the idea of working, all she wanted was to stay home, and not involve herself with others.. ..

"..Ummmm.. Well,, I'm very much thankful for your concern but I don't wanna work right now, I'd be really glad if you could Leave me alone ", answers Tia and shuts herself in her room..

"I'll have a talk with her", Tia's mother persuades Dina to be patient ...

"Okay, I will be waiting for your call" Dina uttered and leaves the house..

Then Tia's mother turns and goes towards her room.. She knocks at her door..

#Tia#= "Come in Mom, but I don't wanna talk about that right now"..

#Mom#=:"Dear why don't you try getting along with others? Why do you always shut yourself?Do you think dad will be happy seeing her daughter like this? "

#Tia#="I know mom, I'm sorry but i really don't want to talk with anyone, i just want to be alone. "

#Tia#:= "Sweetheart I know you loved your dad and he was your best friend, but he will be very sad if he was here and sees you this way..Don't you think he will be happier to see you smile? "

#Tia#=:"I know, but i miss him. He has always been there with me. I was strong when he was near but now I'm just a poor weak girl with a pathetic life. I can't be happy"..

#Mom#=: "I know you miss him, i do too. But i got to be strong for you because you're our precious treasure. I don't want to lose you, I want to keep his baby safe and happy, I want my baby to be happy.. ".

Tia buries her face in the pillow and starts sobbing..

#mom#= " Sweety, you got to find your happiness. Don't be lonely, don't shut yourself in.. I'm not asking you to forget your dad but you can do things which you think would've made him proud and happy..Think as if your dad is always near you and watching over you, so you cannot let him down, Okay? "..

Tia looks up to her mother, with tears in her eyes..

#Mom#="Why don't you try working in the company Dina has suggested, you will make new friends and also you will not have time to be lonely if you are surrounded by work and lovely people"..

#Tia#=.."Okay mom, i will give it a try"..

Tia gives a smile and hugs her mother ..

She decides to join the company which was away from her family home, in a countryside .. Her mother drives her to the dormitory which was close by the company's office. She was worried about Tia, as this was the first time she was going to live on her own but also knew this is the only way for her to grow stronger on her own. ...

#Mom#=" Tia, please take care of yourself ,you can give me a call anytime you want. "

#Tia#= " Okay mom, you take care of yourself too okay, i will visit you every holiday. Don't miss me too much.. Teehee", chuckles Tia.

#Mom#= " Huh!!! You think I'm gonna miss you? Don't get the wrong idea young girl, I'm happy that i won't have to cook for two now!! And i can also have all the chocolate pudding to myself! ..

#Tia#= " Mean!! " You have to keep sending me the pudding every end of the month"..

#mom#= " Okay, okay.. I will.. Now be a good girl okay, Dad will be very proud of you. I will be leaving now, "..

#Tia#= "Thanks mom.. I will not let you or dad down.. Please take care".

They hugged each other and says their goodbyes.. Tia's mother walks out the door without looking back at Tia, because she knew she will not be able to hold back her tears.. She quietly drives away the car..

Tia keeps looking at her mother's car as it slowly disappeared from her sight,

She then goes back to her room, unpacked her luggage and fell into a deep slumber, expecting to have a good day in the office the following morning.

The next day....

It was 9:00 am in the morning and she enters the conference room where they would have the orientation program before starting off with their work.. She wasn't really aware about the company she was about to start working, at the entrance she reads " ITY group of company".. A name she was not really familiar with....She continues going inside the hallway towards the hall..

She quitely sits in the last row of chair, hoping not to attract any eyes on ..

The President of the company stands up and starts the orientation..Tia was not really interested in the voices coming out from the speakers, she wanted it to end soon so she can go to her cabin and focus all her mind in the work she was supposed to do.. A few minutes later, she hears gentle footsteps coming towards her from the back...A young guy close to her age, dark complexion and black hair sits right next to her... Tia looks at him, wondering what's up with this guy coming late on the first day of the office..

The guys looks back at her and with a smile says, " Was stuck in a traffic "...Tia keeps looking at him with a blank expression, an awkward atmosphere between them. The guy stops smiling, realizing Tia was not really interested in why was he late, with a serious face he says, "Bytheway, I'm Sean nice to meet you" and reaches out his hand for a shake. Not wanting to create more awkwardness she replies "I'm Tia, pleasure meeting you too", .. They both then turned their face towards the stage and start listening to the announcement made by the president... The President of the company was a short, fair guy with a few strands of hair sticking out from his head...

Today we are starting a new project, where we will be focusing on creating ideas to help the coming generation love the forgotten cultures., we can combine the cultural practices with art as well as with new innovations... This is one of the many project that this company has started. The new employers will be divided into groups and each group will present their ideas in the meetings which will be held every 6 months. Each group will have a coordinator to guide the team.. I have listed out the names of the new recruits and have divided them into 3 groups. And also the coordinator are already among us, except one.. He had some unavoidable problems so he will join our company next week. He is to coordinate group 3, but since he is not here, the team members can start coming up with ideas and discuss it with your coordinator when he is back. Tia gives a deep sigh... Now she has to check out the signboard and find out to which team she belongs to. Sean leans towards her and says, "I hope we get to be in the same team"... He sounded excited, but Tia wasn't really happy about working with a team. But alas, she has no choice.. She gets up and walks towards the signboard ,hung at entrance of the conference room, searches for her name.. "Tia Sams= Group 3.."

"uuhh!!!! Why it it group 3?"....Tia really didn't want to be in group 3, she felt a hunch that the coordinator was just a lazy person, who gave an excuse about "unavoidable circumstance" ,and was away for a holiday. ..

"Yay!!! We are in the same group Tia! " comes a voice from behind.. She turns back and sees Sean's smiling with excitement and satisfaction.. Tia turns back to the signboard and goes through the names present in the group 3,,

"Sean Wati= Group 3"..

Tia bows her head from disbelief.

"How can my first day start with such letdowns, Seriously..! " she utters to herself.

#Tia#=" Oh! No, no.. Nothing.. "..

#Sean#=" Cool, let's head to our office room then"..

Tia nods her head with a dreaded smile, and heads to her office room which will be shared with other team members..
