"Y-you don't recognize me ?"

"Do I know you sir ?"

"Kookie, do you recognize me ? Who am I ?" asked Namjoon.

"Of course Namjoon hyung. I recognize all of you but this person." answered Jungkook.

"This is so strange... Really... Wait, I'll go talk to the doctor" said Namjoon before going out of the room

"Are you sure that you don't know him ?" asked Taehyung.

"I think yes. But what happened ? Why am I at the hospital ?"

"You had an accident Kookie. You were hit by a car while going out of Big Hit's building and this guy brought you here" explained Yoongi, gesturing toward Jimin.

Jimin was not realizing what was happening. He couldn't understand why Jungkook didn't recognize him. He was sobbing alone in a corner of the room before Jin decided to take him out of it. They went out and he began to cry uncontrollably.

"Why ? Wh-what is this ? Huh ? H-he doesn't k-know me ! My Kookie...". He was sobbing so hard, he couldn't control his breathing. Jin was drawing soothing circles on his back, saying comforting words.

"Alright Jimin-ah... Cry it all out. It'll be well, just wait. It might be because of the shock he had."

Jimin was slowly calming down when Namjoon came back with the doctor, and they all entered the room.

"Hello Jungkook-ssi. How are you feeling ?" asked the doctor.

"I'm feeling well... I think. But what happened to me ?" asked Jungkook, looking at Jimin who had red and swollen eyes.

"You had an accident yesterday and I performed surgery on you. Thanks to that young man here, you were brought in time, so it wasn't too serious."

Jungkook looked at Jimin who was still crying a bit and he felt really thankful but guilty because he couldn't remember him.

"Doctor, can there be some side effects to the surgery ?" asked Yoongi.

"Uhm... Well, it seems like Mr. Jeon has a kind of amnesia" replied the doctor. "It can happen. It can be due to the shock he had. In his case, it is very special because he only forgot one person. He's either very close to him or not at all. It depends on what happened before the accident." He turned to Jungkook. "Do you remember what happened before you were hit by the car ?"

"No... I just remember being projected in the air. I'm sorry"

"Don't be. Maybe your subconscious wants you to forget the accident or anything that is linked to it. But it will surely come back." said the doctor with a smile. "I have to talk to you Namjoon-ssi. And you too Jimin-ssi" continued the doctor. They went out of the room and when the door closed, the doctor looked worried and serious.

"I didn't want to say it in front of Jungkook-ssi but it can be that his subconscious wants him to forget all the things linked to you Jimin-ssi. He might not remember you forever."

Jimin, who had stopped crying a little while ago, began to cry once again. He was surprised that there were still tears left for him to cry his heart out.

"Are you sure ? Isn't there a know-how that could help him remember ?" asked Namjoon, trying to comfort Jimin by patting his back.

"Like I said to Jungkook-ssi, he can remember but migth also forget everything. Maybe being confronted to some memories could help him remember. Were you very close to him Jimin-ssi ?"

"Y-yes." said Jimin, hiccupping.

"Thus, you surely have many shared memories with Jungkook-ssi. If you re-enact those shared moments, it could help him regain his memory" said the doctor with a comforting smile.

At the same time in the room, Jungkook was thinking about the young guy who saved his life. He was feeling guilty for making him cry but he also was confused. Of course, everyone cried because they had been very scared and shocked by what happened but this guy seemed more affected than the others.

What was his name ? Jimin ? Jimin.

Jungkook came to think that maybe he was very close to him. But if they were close, how could he forget him ? He told himself to ask Jimin abour their relationship.

Then, Jimin and Namjoon came back in the room. Jimin looked very tired and Jungkook noticed that he had cried once more. Jimin sat on the chair that was the farthest from the bed. He saw the younger whispering in Jin's ear and the latter nodded.

"Guys, let's go out. Jungkook wants to talk to Jimin in private."

Everyone went to the door and when Yoongi closed the door behind him, awkwardness filled the room.

From time to time, Jungkook was stealing glances to Jimin. After 2 minutes of silence, he said.

"Jimin-ssi..." Jimin looked up. He looked extremely depressed.

"You can call me hyung Kookie" he said with a slight smile.

"O-okay..." The nickname brought a strange but familiar feeling in Jungkook's stomach. "Hyung... Can you tell me what was our relationship like ?"

"Uhm... I d-don't know if I can tell y-you..."

He is so cute stuttering like this thought Jungkook.

"Well... I really wanna know. You seem like you were very close to me before the accident. You even brought me here. Were we bestfriends ?"

Jimin looked up at Jungkook. He thought that if he tells him yes, it'd be great to restart everything with him. [A/N: Jimin wants to restart everything because he thinks that he had hurt Jungkook too much and that's why he decided to forget him, even if they were close] 

"Yes. Kinda."

"Kinda ? What does it mean ?"

He didn't know why, but Jungkook really wanted to know more about Jimin. He was very intrigued as to what was their relationship because even if he didn't remember him, he felt different with him.

"We were bestfriends. Like very close friends but we were a bit... awkward with each other sometimes."

"Mmh... I don't really under-"

"Jimin ! The doctor said that we need to leave now but if you want to stay, you can because of... well" said Hoseok, looking at the 2 young men who were startled by his sudden appearance. 

They looked at each other and Jimin noticed that Jimin was looking at him expectantly. He was about to say that he would stay but something inside him was telling him to go.

"O-okay... I'm coming hyung. Just a sec." Hoseok closed the door and Jimin stood up, looking at Jungkook.

"Kookie -I used to call you like this and I can't change it- I'd like to stay but I'm very tired. You understand, right ?" Jimin felt sorry that he couldn't stay, especially when Jungkook looked so sad.

"Yes but... please... Could you stay ? Just this night..." Jungkook was ready to do everything that he could so Jimin would stay. Jimin wanted to stay, to sleep with him, but his mind was telling him not to. But how could he part from Jungkook when he was looking at him with the same eyes that made him fall for this cute guy ?

"Okay... Let me tell the others." Jungkook smiled and nodded. Jimin got his head out of the room and said

"I'm staying the night with Kook. Go home, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Jiminie, be strong okay ? He can remember and he will. I'm sure of it" said Yoongi.

Jimin nodded and went back in the room. As Jimin thinks that Jungkook has already drifted to sleep, he caresses his hair and kissing his forehead, he whispers

"Kookie... You don't know how much we were close... We had the kind of relationship that only we could understand and now I'm the only one. But don't worry. I'll wait for you. Until you remember, no matter how long it will take."

He sighed heavily, sat down on the chair, took Jungkook's hand and immediatly fell asleep.

The next morning

When Jungkook woke up, he felt that his right hand was wet. He looked down and saw Jimin who was crying silently in his sleep. He had the feeling that he was dreaming of him and that was why he was crying. He began to pat his head.

"Why are you crying ? How come you still have tears left to cry after all you cried yesterday ?"

Then, Jimin's eyes opened and he looked surprised as Jungkook was staring at him with his doe eyes, stroking his hair. Jungkook noticed that Jimin has awakened and quickly took off his hand. What he didn't expect was that Jimin would not let him do so. He grabbed his hand with begging eyes.

"You... Can we stay like that a little ?"

"O-okay hyung..." Jungkook smiled genuinely at this cute looking guy. Jimin led Jungkook's hand to his cheek and leaned in, closing his eyes. After 5 minutes, Jungkook opened his mouth.

"Hyung..."

"Sorry Kookie, I was lost in the feeling. Your hand is so soft."

"No, that isn't it. Just... Were we really bestfriends ? We seem closer than what you told me yesterday."

Jimin let go of Jungkook's hand and looked down, scratching the back of his head.

"Actually... I have to tell you that... I had a crush on you for a long time." Strangely, Jungkook wasn't surprised to hear that. It was like he always knew about it.

"When you say a long time... ?"

"You remember the day you auditioned ?" Jungkook nodded. "It was the day we first met actually. Since then..." Jimin blushed and Jungkook found that very cute.

"It has been around 2 years then..."

Awkwardness took place in the room and each boy was stealing glances at the other till their eyes met. They began a staring contest which they both wanted to win. Jungkook had a strong déjà-vu sensation. Suddenly, he got a big headache and felt dizzy. He fell down on the bed and Jimin panicked.

"Kookie-yah ! What's wrong ? Kook-ah !" Jimin went to call a nurse.

"What's happening ? He fainted ? Okay, let me in, don't come with me." The nurse went in, took Jungkook's pulse, temperature and checked his vitals before allowing Jimin in.

"What is it ? What happened to him ?"

"There's nothing. Everything's normal, I think he just felt dizzy from the tiredness. He fell asleep."

"Thank you" said Jimin and the nurse went out of the room. "Jungkookie... What happened ?" He took his hand. "You really scared me, you know ? Maybe you are very tired. I think I'll go home now and come see you in the afternoon." He kissed his hand and went home.

When Jungkook woke up 2 hours later, he wasn't feeling dizzy anymore. The first thing he noticed was that Jimin was gone. He was saddened by this fact, and he came to think about what he said earlier this morning.

"Jimin hyung has a crush on me..."

Jungkook felt happy about it but he didn't know why. He didn't know a single thing about this hyung but he was extremely happy and flattered that a beautiful person like Jimin liked him. He wanted to reciprocate the feeling but he didn't know how and why. Jimin was a stranger to him, but he felt close to him for some reason. It was too complicated for Jungkook to understand and the members invaded the room just in time to prevent him from thinking too much about it.

"KOOKIE ! WASSUP ?" shouted Taehyung as he entered the room.

"Hey, Tae-hyung !" Jungkook smiled. He said 'hi' to everyone and asked

"Jiminie is not here ?" Evryone stopped talking.

"What did you say ?" asked Jin.

"I asked where is Jimin hyung." replied Jungkook, a bit confused.

"But you said Jiminie instead of Jimin hyung" said Yoongi.

"What ? I'm sorry, I shouldn't drop the honorifics, even if he's not here. I didn't know." said Jungkook.

"That's not something to be sorry about Kookie." began Namjoon. "In fact, it's a good thing. It means that a part of you still remembers how you acted with him."

"What does it mean ? I never used the honorifics with Jimin hyung ?"

"Yup. You always called him 'Jiminie' or 'Jimin-ah'. He was making a fuss of this even if he liked it on the inside" said Hoseok, smiling.

"Were we this close ?"

"You don't know about... you and Jimin ?" asked Namjoon. Jungkook shook his head.

"He doesn't want to say anything to me." he pouted.

"How much I'd love to tell you on his behalf"Jin began and Jungkook looked at him with hoping eyes. "But I can't." Jungkook's eyes were immediatly filled with sadness.

"Kook, I'm sure there is a reason why he doesn't want to tell you. But he will because he knows he can't hide it from you." said Yoongi.

"Okay... Jin hyung, can I talk to you ? I'm sorry everyone but I want to talk to him in private" stated Jungkook.

"No problem, they'll wait outside" smiled Jin. Everyone got out of the room and Jin began.

"What do you want to talk to me about ?"

"In fact, Jimin hyung said something to me... He said that he had a crush on me for a long time."

"And how do you feel about it ?"

"I...I don't know...I'm confused" Jin looked at Jungkook, telling him to continue. "When he told me that, I wasn't surprised. It was like I always knew it. Not me myself but my brain and heart. And my heart began to beat faster. I feel really good about it. I'm happy that he likes me and I don't know why. I want to like him too, strangely. But I don't know enough about him. And I was wondering..." Jungkook paused.

"What ? Did he say something else ?" Asked Jin, holding his breath.

"Not really but...I wasn't supposed to hear it in fact. Last night, when he stayed with me, he probably thought that I was sleeping and he whispered that our relationship was something that just we could understand and that he'd wait until I remember" Jungkook's eyes were teary at this point " I was so touched by his words - not myself but my heart like earlier - and it made me wonder... Were we in love with each other ?"

"What do you think ? Does it seem to you that you both were in love ?" Asked Jin.

"I don't know... I can't remember and I find it so frustrating !" Jungkook hid his face in his palms. "I felt so guilty for making him cry and suffer... I hate it when he cries." A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Jungkook-ah. I understand how you feel and we'll do everything that we can so that you'll remember. And about your question... You better ask Jimin. I can't tell you because it is a quite complicated story between you two." Jin kissed the top of Jungkook's head and hugged him lightly. At this time, Namjoon opened the door.

"Kookie. Jimin is here. Do you want to talk with him ?"

Jungkook dried his eyes and cheeks, took a deep breath and nodded. Jin hyung stood up and went out, winking at Jungkook.

"Hi, Kookie ! Are you feeling better ?" Said Jimin walking to Jungkook.

"Hi, hyung. Yes I'm good. Did you have enough sleep ?" Asked Jungkook.

"Actually, when I went home earlier this morning, I couldn't sleep because I was worried." 

"About me ?" Jungkook said, smiling. Jimin blushed.

"Uh... Well, yes." Jungkook beamed. He was impossibly happy about the fact that Jimin cared about him.

"Hyung... I... missed you." Said Jungkook. The last part was nearly inaudible.

"What did you say Kookie ?"

"I said that I missed you, hyung. When i woke up after I fainted, I was disappointed that you weren't by my side anymore."

At this words, Jimin smiled and chuckled. His expression then switched to a teasing one and he leaned closer to Jungkook, smirking.

"So you missed me, huh ? How much ?" Jimin whispered into Jungkook's ear. It sent shivers down the latter's spine and he replied.

"W-wh-what ?" Jimin's smirk widened.

"Why are you stuttering Kookie ? Are you uncomfortable ?" Jimin said, still whispering.

"Y-yes... Could you p-please back o-off, hyung ?"

"If you want, then yes." Jimin said, returning to his normal self. Jungkook was flushed red. At this time, the door opened and the doctor entered.

"Hello, Jungkook-ssi. I heard that you fainted this morning. How do you feel now ?"

It took a few seconds for Jungkook to stop taring at Jimin and to regain his composure.

"I'm feeling okay. I was wondering, when would I be able to go back home ?"

"Actually, I came here to tell you that you'd be discharged tomorrow in the afternoon. You recovered quite quickly and the amnesia shouldn't be a problem since I see that there are some people to take care of you." The doctor's eyes fell on Jimin, who was smiling lovingly at Jungkook.

"So, I'll be going now. Have a good day Jungkook-ssi."

"Thank you." Jungkook replied and the doctor went out.

Some moments after, Taehyung began to whine.

"Hobi-yah~~ I'm hungry~"

"Aww, really ? Should we go eat something in the cafeteria ?"

"Yes ! Let's go !" Taehyung began to jump excitedly.

"Okay... Guys, you wanna come ?" Asked Hoseok. Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi answered with one voice 'Of course !' and they all went to the cafeteria, leaving Jimin and Jungkook alone, again.

"Uhm... Hyung ?" Jimin looked at Jungkook. "Are you hungry ?" Jimin smiled.

"I'm full just by looking at you." Jungkook blushed. "Do you wanna eat something ?" Jungkook began to think hard about what he may want to eat and after a long time he shouted.

"Ice cream !"

"Ice cream ? Strawberry flavoured ?" Asked Jimin.

"Yes, it's my favorite !" Jungkook's eyes were sparkling.

"Of course, I know everything about you, Kookie." This sentence reminded Jungkook of what Jin hyung told him. He the put on a serious face and asked Jimin.

"Hyung..." Jimin noticed the change of expression on Jungkook's face. He turned serious too.

"What ?"

"Can I... ask you a question ? Like a personal one ?" Jimin nodded.

"Were we... in love before the accident ?"

Jimin didn't expect that. He began to panick and wondered if he should tell the truth or not. he was afraid that he would scare Jungkook, and that it would ruin their relationship. He wanted to start all over again and he thought that telling him about their past relationship wouldn't be a good idea.

"Do you want me to tell you the truth ?" Jungkook fervently nodded. "Are you sure you won't regret it later ?"

Jungkook hesitated and thought for one secondof stopping Jimin from telling him but didn't. His curiosity won over his wisdom. He slowly nodded.

"... Yes" Breathed Jimin. "We were in love and in a really passsionate relationship. It took us so long to get together. It caused us so much pain but we finally succeeded and then this happened... I felt like my whole life crumbled when I saw you lying on the ground that day."

Jungkook's heart ached at these words. He didn't realise how much Jimin loved him and cared for him. Of course he didn't but his inner self that remembered everything knew it and didn't want to let him know.

"Hyung, Do you still love me ?" The words slipped out of Jungkook's mouth before he could prevent them to.

"Of course. You not having any memories of me isn't a reason for me to stop loving you." Jungkook's heart began to beat really fast and he felt awful. He began to cry.

"Jungkook, why are you crying ?" Jimin was worried that he may have scared the younger by letting all the words fall out.

"It's just that... I feel so sorry and awful. I can't even remember you and it frustrates me. Hyung... You'll help me remember, right ?"

"Of course, Jungkook. You mean so much to me, I'd do anything for you." Jimin caressed his cheek.

"Thanks. But you said you'd call me by my nickname." Jungkook pouted. Jimin's eyes went as wide as saucers.

"Wh-what did you say ?"

"I said thank you." Jungkook seemed confused.

"N-no. After th-that."

"I didn't say anything."

"W-wait a minute. I'll c-come back."

Jimin went out of the room and told the members to come in while he began to run.

"Hey, Kook. What happened ?" Asked Yoongi.

"I don't know... We were talking and then he began to stutter, his eyes went wide... I'm confused."

"Did you ask him Jungkook ?" Asked Jin.

"Yes. He told me that we were in love and that he still loved me." Jungkook blushed a little.

"Oh~ ! Kookie, you're blushing ! Right Hobi-hyung ? This is so cute !" teased Taehyung.

"N-no ! I'm not blushing ! Anyway. I wonder where Jimin hyung has gone."

Jimin POV

What was this ? He said what I heard ? Or was I just hallucinating ? I hope not. I definitely heard him complain that I didn't used his nickname. Where is the doctor ? I have to ask him...

"Doctor Park !" I called out.

"Jimin-ssi. Why are you running ? Is there something wrong with Jungkook-ssi ?"

"I don't know. Something really strange happened. He talked and acted like before the accident. I mean... like he knew who I am."

"You mean that he said something he had already said in the past adn he didn't notice it ?"

"Y-yes. But how-"

"Namjoon-ssi came to me earlier for the same thing. He said that Jungkook-ssi dropped the honorifics while saying your name. Like in the past."

"What happened ? What does it mean ?"

"It means that his inner self rememebers everything but it doesn't want to let it all out."

"Is it a good thing ?"

"I think yes. He must have said it many times before or maybe it was important in the development of your relationship. I heard that you are a couple." I was a bit embarrassed by the fact that the doctor knew it but I kept my composure.

"We were a couple. We aren't anymore." The doctor smiled kindly. "But does it mean that he has great chances to recover his memory ?"

"Of course. His heart and mind remember. Maybe his body too. But it may be too painful for him to remember everything so he lets some parts of his memories out slowly."

"Thank you Doctor Park."

"You're welcome Jimin-ssi."

I ran back to jungkook's room. I steadied my breath and entered.

"Where were you ? What happened ?" asked Jin hyung.

"Why didn't you tell me what happened ?" I asked, slowly getting angry for I-don't-know-why.

"What are you talking about ?" said Namjoon hyung.

"I'm talking about the fact that he dropped the honorifics earlier while I wasn't here ! You know that it is important !" I screamed.

"Jimin, calm down, it is an hospital here." said Yoongi.

"No, I'm not calming down ! You all said that you'd help me but it isn't true !" tears began to well up in my eyes.

"You know it's not true !" replied V.

"It is true ! Even you, Tae, didn't tell me ! That's what upsets me the most !" Like that, I stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me. I sat down in front of the room, trying to calm down. I bent over and placed my face in my hands. I heard the door open and someone coming over.

"I'm not in the mood to talk." I grumbled.

"Even to me ?" It was Jungkook.

"Kookie... You must stay in bed. Go back"

"No hyung. I want you to tell me where you went and why." His tone was firm and I knew that when he is like this, you better obey.

"Okay. I went to see the doctor Park. After you thanked me when I said that I would help you remember, you said something that you've already said in the past without knowing it. I went to ask the doctor what it meant" Ipaused.

"What did he say ?" asked Jungkook.

"He said that your inner self remembers everything but doesn't want to let you remember."

We both sighed and looked at each other. We stared at each other fro about 15 seconds when he said

"Did he talk about the body ?"

"Yes...why ?"

"Because I feel something strange but pleasantly familiar in my stomach when I'm with you"

"Like butterflies ?"

"Yes. Do you also feel them ?"

"Of course. And my heart is beating wildly."

"What is this ?" 

"I don't know for yourself but for me, it is called love."

Jungkook grabbed my hand tightly and smiled.

"I hope it is the same for me."

I squeezed his hand lightly and smiled back.
