Can I Be Her? Chapter 2

Hira's Pov

While I listed all the things he need before coming at the venue where the meeting will be held, I tried to talk to him and break the awkward atmosphere around us.

Hira

"Good evening, Mr. Fushiguro. Have you eaten your dinner?" I asked and looked at him.

Toji Fushiguro

"Yes." I coldly reply. I did not pay much attention to her as I could smell the alcohol lingering around her. Even though she tried to cover it with a perfume, it could still be smelled.

Hira

"That's great." I added.

After that answer, the awkward atmosphere came back again. I do not know what to do. It's kind of bothering knowing he's there and I just can't focus on what I was doing.

Shortly after, I received a phone call.

Hira

"Yes?" I asked to the other line waiting for a response.

Assistant

"Hello? Is this Hira Aile? I'm Mr.Gu's Assistant, tonight's Mr.Fushiguro's client."

Hira

"Yes, is there a problem? Isn't the meeting gonna start at 9pm?" I was kind of worried since it was still 7pm. Is there something wrong with the client? Will they cancel it? Their a big help for the company.

Assistant

"So, Mr. Gu would like to move the meeting from 9pm to 8pm because he have an urgent problem that has to be faced. In order to proceed the partnership, he would like to move the meeting because he is not sure if he'll be able to hold another meeting with Mr. Fushiguro again."

Hira

"Okay. Copy. I'll inform Mr. Fushiguro this instance. Thank you for informing us." I gave a relaxed tone hearing it will not be cancelled.

After the call, I immediately inform Mr. Fushiguro about the matter.

Toji Fushiguro

"So it will be moved? Okay. Is the files and presentations already prepared?" I asked in a calming yet cold tone.

Hira

"Yes. Everything is ready. How about you, Mr. Fushiguro?" I did not know what spirit bewitched me when I suddenly asked that! Oh my God. I'm really nervous. Why did I ask that?!

Toji Fushiguro

"I'm good, get me another suit, I'll change my clothes." I answered. I was kind of shocked when she asked that. I know she's always been a perfectionist. She would never ask such thing if she didn't find any dust or dirt on my clothes or face.

After I took another suit of his, I gave it to him and helped him change. I tied his tie. His face was very close to my face. I do not know why I was embarrassed and nervous. Maybe because it's been a while since our bodies got so close like this? I don't know.

Toji's Pov

I looked at her while she was tying my tie. I could see how nervous she was. Am I that scary? I'm confused. Did I do something wrong? Why's she acting like this? Though I wish this could last a few more minutes.

Hira's Pov

After a short while, I'm finished fixing his tie and suit. I step back and said his good. He look elegant. Oh god I can't believe I'm taking care of someone so high like this.

Hira

"Everything's prepared, Mr. Fushiguro. Shall we head down?" I said as I took my laptop and other files I need.

Toji Fushiguro

"Mhmm.." I answered. She already knows that mean 'Okay'.

I opened the office's door and we head to the elevator. Inside the elevator was so silent and awkward. It even got more awkward when we have to wait for almost 5 minutes because we are at the 50th floor. Oh how I wish the elevator's door would open now.

After a few minutes, the door opened. The awkward atmosphere finally disappeared but then it came back when we head inside the car. The driver was so silent. I wish he would play some song or talk a bit. I tried to not pay attention to anything till we arrived at the venue.

When we came out of the car, an Assistant welcomed and lead us inside.

Assistant

"Hello Mr. Fushiguro. I am Lia, Mr. Gu's Assistant. Please come inside, Mr. Gu is waiting for you."

I followed them and we came inside an elevator. The atmosphere was calming, we waited for the elevator's door to open till it has. When we head inside a room, Mr. Gu was already there waiting for us.

Assistant

I'll be off now, Mr. Fushiguro.

Mr. Gu

"Good evening, Mr. Fushiguro." I stand up and offered him my hand and shaked it.

Toji Fushiguro

"Good evening, Mr. Gu. It's good finally seeing you." I gave him a fake smile.

Mr. Gu

"Thank yu and sorry for moving the schedule. Something emergency came up and I have to finish this meeting soon." I smiled.

Toji Fushiguro

"No, it's fine. Shall we head straight to the meeting?" I tried to rush the meeting.

Mr. Gu

"Sure do." I could see he was bored and tired of this but he cant do anything. I'm a big help for his company and I could see he needs me. Mr. Fushiguro is known to cancel a client when it asks for things such as moving the schedule. I moved our schedule two times and he still stayed and meet me. I can see it, he really does need my help. I like him. I can see his potential for growing his company that is why I tested him.

While they were talking, I prepared the presentation for the meeting. I could see the fake smile Fushiguro is having while talking to Mr. Gu. This, man. Really.

Toji Fushiguro

"Ms. Aile, is everything ready?" I asked her in a gentle tone

Hira

"Yes Mr. Fushiguro. I can start the presentation now." I smoothen my voice trying to hide my nervousness. This is a big client. I can't afford to make mistakes.

Mr. Gu

"Okay, let's start." I gave the two of them a warm smile. Something up with this two, it's like there's something in there that I could not tell.

Hira

"Okay. Let me proceed." I said and start explaining that datas of our company.

Hira

I explained how our company boosted each year. After a while of explanation, I can tell I'm doing a good job. I can also see how Mr. Gu's reaction. I know we can win him.

While I was explaining, Mr. Fushiguro explain everything about the benefits for both partys.

Mr. Gu

"I'm moved. I'll conduct this partnership. It's settled. Thank you Mr. Fushiguro. This partnership will sail to another great achievement for both partners."

Toji Fushiguro

"Thank you. Cooperating with me is the right choice Mr. Gu." I smiled at him, this time, it was sincere.

The partnership was success. I'm ready to celebrate this achievement.
