Chapter one: Good News and I-don't-know News

"Vanessa!!! what'd heck is going on in here?" Jenna screamed as she dashed into her room from the shower and met pieces of an already shattered glass cup on the floor of her room.

"urgh....not again." She groaned and slammed a shelf . The little brat, Nessa already ran out to their mother for safety. "why can't she keep her hands off my table. Did I owe her in my previous life?" she muttered to herself angrily as she put on a blue jean bum short and a yellow baggy tee-shirt before running downstairs to grab a mop and vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess in her room.

Midway cleaning up the mess, Nessa was standing in front of her door banging it nosily. "Jenna, mommy shaid to come down for bweikfast", she shouted banging the door. "go away Nessa!!! I'm coming!" Jenna shouted back. Unfortunately, the little brat let herself into the room the next minute and picked up a fashion magazine from the floor to flip the pages*of course she didn't forget to leave some stains behind her small feet*. Jenna was just short of throwing the mop on the little guy.

"Vanessa! drop the book and get your *** downstairs, Now!" Jenna said strictly and with that, Nessa scampered off to the dining room. She then concentrated on cleaning the room until it was to her satisfaction.

Next up, she found herself, in the dining room with her family members; Her mom, dad and Nessa, having breakfast together. After eating, the two girls were about to head back to their rooms when Mrs Evario spoke up,

"Girls, I and your dad have something to tell you. We just don't know how you'll feel about it ". Jenna and Nessa glanced at themselves, shrugged and sat down on their seats. " it better be something good mommy", Nessa said with her childish voice. "well?" Jenna echoed looking at them.

"Actually it's kind of a good news and...a an I-don't-know News. The Good News is ...... your Dad got a huge promotion at work. "that's really great. wow".Mrs Evario smiled proudly, " of course it is. But,.... the I-don't-know News is that ....... we're gonna have to relocate because there's a transfer".

"say wha....?" Jenna and Nessa said at the same time.

"No way dad, this is so not happening "

"certainly, it can happen Jenna". Nessa said happily.

"Mom, quit joking okay?"

Mr Evario cleared his throat," darling, your mom is not joking." Jenna shook stubbornly,"I haven't even been in college here for half a year, I'm still trying to fit in, okay? You can't be doing this to me". She felt a tug, and looked down to see Nessa tugging at her shirt," actually they can..". She slapped Nessa's hands away angrily.

"I'm so sorry Jenna, your Dad hit it big this time and they're offering to pay a large amount of money as his salary. If he doesn't report by next week, he may not just lose this promotion. He might also lose his job. We can't afford to miss this opportunity."

" argh...this is hard to accept, then......you can leave me behind and go on your own".

"no baby, we can't do that, we all are moving, even your brother when he leaves the boarding house, he'll join us there". Jenna adjusted her glasses,"fine where are we going and.....when?" Mrs Evario smiled leaning in her husband's chest, "we're going to Berlin, in Washington DC, how's that?"

"it sounds cool mommy! Jenna, what do you say?"

"Jenna baby, I remember that you have some old school mates and friends over there." she gave Jenna a knowing smile. Jenna suddenly remembered Paige, her Best friend since high school. They hadn't lost contact and they often talked a lot on social media. the idea of schooling with her in college seemed........not bad.

"Alright Mom, you win!" she finally conceded.

"yay!!! we're going to Washington DC!!!" Nessa wriggled and danced.

Alright...... introducing Jenna Evario, a slim, tall girl who wears glasses because of a rare eyesight problem. She has some nerd characteristics, but a total opposite of the word *nerd*. She hates parties, books buh she loves sports and food. She has a pair of light pink bunny eyes, long eyelashes, an oval face and natural nude lips. Her hair is shoulder length blonde, but mixed with a combination of white and blue hair dye. Her body shape is sexy, although she hides herself in baggy tee-shirts and sweaters carefully. Oh!....and she's a snob.

Early in the morning, Jenna woke up and stretches herself before walking into the shower sleepily to have her bath. Afterwards she walked out lazily, applied lotion on her fair skin and wore her clothes; a knee length white joggers, blue tank to and a white sweater that had a hood. After dressing up, she ran out jogging towards the gymnasium. Alaska had so much snow this particular morning and she trod the path where the snow were slightly raked. Now, it was the wee hours of the morning and city was quiet. As she ran, she didn't notice that her shoe lace had gone loose and someone stepped on it. Her glasses popped out of her face, and she grabbed it panicking. She shut her eyes and prepared to fall into the snow, but surprisingly, she found herself in the arms of a guy. Her hair went loose from the hoodie and gathered some snowflakes.

"I am so...so sorry, are you okay?" he asked, putting her down. She firstly put on her glasses, then she dusted her clothes.

"I'm fine, thank you," the voice she heard was oddly familiar. " I'm sorry.......ah my laces got in the way, I...Ralph?"

"you are Ralph, aren't you?". she said smiling widely.

"woah... hot scotch, it's really you," Ralph looked at her cute face with a gentle smile and patted her hair to clear the snowflakes." Jenna, how have you been?" "I've been great, I didn't expect to meet you here....like this. Where are you heading?"

"the gym, you?"

"so am I, let's go together then!", he suggested with a smile and squatted down to tie her shoelace that went loose.

Ralph used to be Jenna's crush. he was the school's prince charming in her middle school and they were really good friends then. Unfortunately, after he left high school, she lost all contact with him because his third girlfriend lost his cellphone. He was Jenna's senior and already in college. After tying Jenna's shoelace, Jenna thanked him and they continued to jog together to the gymnasium.
