Lian Jue Xijing had been living in a villa in the suburbs in the past. Later, when she had a child, the school was too far away and it was inconvenient, so she simply bought a bigger house in the city and moved there. The house has been vacant. Lian Jue never thought of selling it but he didn’t want to keep it however it will take a lot of energy to choose another house and it was a pity to sell it now.

The car drove into the courtyard but before it stopped someone heard the sound and greeted it.

When the assistant saw Lian Jue getting out of the car he was stunned at first, then walked up to him quickly, nodded and shouted, “Mr. Lian.”

Lian Jue entered the door, took off his coat and the assistant behind him picked it up. The assistant asked: “Why are you here?”

Lian Jue didn’t say anything and loosened his tie: “Where’s the person?”

“In the guest bedroom on the second floor.”

Shen Tingwei was still in a light sleep and his arm felt uncomfortable. After pulling up a bit, his drowsy consciousness returned to the cage a little. He struggled to shake off the chaos in his mind. Before he opened his eyes he heard a cold male voice ringing in his ear.

“Why are you still sleeping?”

Lian Jue took the thermometer taken out from Shen Tingwei’s armpit and looked at the temperature through the weak light of the bedside lamp.

The assistant next to him explained: “Mr. Shen’s fever has not subsided. I have undergone routine blood tests and there is no major problem. It should be a normal fever. I had infused fluids before you came. The doctor said to observe him tonight. To get rid of the fever, I still need to go to the hospital for a detailed and comprehensive physical examination tomorrow.”

Lian Jue said “um”, put away the thermometer. When he put it down, he paused for a moment on the bedside table and then looked down at the person on the bed.

Before Shen Ting closed his eyes, his face was morbidly red, his long eyelashes trembled slightly and his breathing was heavy.

Lian Jue looked at him for a while then tilted his head slightly to his side: “You go back first.”

“Okay, Mr. Lian.”

After the assistant left, Lian Jue said coldly, “Stop pretending.”

Shen Tingwei found it difficult to face the absurdity of last night. Hearing him speak, his ears were hot and it was even more embarrassing to be exposed. After thinking for a few seconds he slowly opened his eyes.

After closing his eyes for a long time the light felt dazzling at first sight. He opened his eyes slightly and he felt uncomfortable. After getting used to it for a while he tried to turn his eyes.

There was a tall figure standing beside the bed with broad shoulders against the light coming in from the corridor at the door holding a small card in his hand while reading it.

– It’s his ID.

Lian Jue’s gaze shifted from the somewhat dull color photo on the document. The person in front of him had his eyes slightly closed and his expression was stunned. Compared with the photo he was still much more vivid like a pair of delicate willow leaves even if he was without a smile the thin and upward eye end also contains a bit of uncontrollable tenderness.

Lian Jue raised her brows slightly, with undisguised sarcasm in his words: “Work permit?”

Shen Tingwei was stunned for a while: “What…?”

Lian Jue obviously didn’t intend to stay on this topic for too long. He just casually threw the card back on the bedside table: “Get up if you’re already awaken.”

Before Shen Ting sat up on the bed his eyes darkened for a moment probably because his head was congested after lying down for a long time or because he hadn’t eaten for a long time. Hypoglycemia. He raised his hand to hold his temples closed his eyes for a while and then he realized that what Lian Jue had just said might not be a good thing.

He sank a little but he didn’t refute.

Shen Ting was unable to dig out the fragment from his vague memory before he passed out but judging from the current situation it was obvious that Lian Jue had saved him again.

Shen Tingwei slept on the bed for the afternoon his shirt was wrinkled and the cuffs reached his elbows revealing his thin white forearms. The red marks on his wrists had not completely disappeared, the lining was slender and distinct. The wrist bone is so fragile that it shatters when pinched.

The assistant couldn’t figure out Shen Tingwei’s identity, so he didn’t dare to change his clothes rashly.

Shen Tingwei said in a low voice, “Thank you.”

His soft voice was mixed with the sweet smell in the room and it didn’t sound very serious.

Lian Jue glanced at him: “Get dressed and come out.”

Lian Jue left without closing the door and Shen Tingwei waited until the sound of his footsteps was far away before raising his hand to unbutton his shirt.

The collar was rubbing against the hot glands and the torturous numbness spread down his spine. Shen Tingwei’s hand paused leaning on the head of the bed and exhaling slowly waiting for the unpleasant strangeness to ease. Then, he continued the action at hand.

It took him a long time to get dressed and go downstairs.

Lian Jue was sitting on the sofa while holding a report-like thing in his hand. Hearing the sound, he put down the document and looked up at the person coming down the stairs.

Shen Tingwei walked over a little embarrassedly. The thin knitted clothes on his body were originally loose style and because he did not fit the size the neckline was opened wider revealing a thin and neat collarbone. Noticing Lian Jue’s gaze, he unnaturally tugged at his collar and whispered, “Mr. Lian.”

Lian Jue raised his chin to one side.

Shen Ting was did not sit on the single sofa. He is wearing some grey cotton home pants.

It was too big. The trousers fell loosely to the ground. He subconsciously pulled the trousers up. The slender ankles were porcelain white. In Lian Jue’s eyes, he only thought that his actions were deliberate and kitsch.

“What do you want?”

Lian Jue’s facial features were as deep as a carving. He looked cold, lifeless and his face was sullen.

Shen Tingwei was stunned for a while, his eyes were a little stunned: “I don’t understand what you were talking about…”

Lian Jue didn’t have the patience to go around in circles with him. Before he could finish answering, he interrupted: “Money, is still your project.”

Shen Ting didn’t froze, his hand on his pants tightened and his voice was still hoarse, but it was much colder than before: “Mr. Lian, I am very grateful to you for saving me. But I didn’t sell myself on you.”

Lian Jue suddenly laughed. He found that it was always difficult for him to maintain his so-called self-cultivation and bearing in front of him. His voice couldn’t help but ridicule: “Then what do you do?”

Shen Tingwei slowly pursed his lips and his expression a little stiff.

“Did you drink aphrodisiac and go to the street to find someone to make an appointment?”

Shen Ting was silenced by him. Lian Jue’s eyes were sharp as if they had thorns. He stared at his knees.

He was in a trance for a moment. The strange uneasiness in his heart came up again and his fingers involuntarily twisted the soft fabric of his trousers. After hesitating for a long time, he decided to speak.

“You, what’s the smell on your body… what is it?”

Lian Jue inexplicably was asked by him. His brows furrowed even tighter: “What smell?”

Shen Tingwei’s ears were flushed and his knees were pressed together. His expression was rather unnatural. Ask: “Yesterday, the smell on your body… what is that?”

Lian Jue stared coldly at his contrived appearance: “What’s wrong?”

“…”

“aertopkapi.” Lian Jue glanced at the confusion in Shen Tingwei’s eyes and added impatiently, “Perfume. What’s wrong?”

“Perfume…” Shen Ting did not lower his eyelashes and repeated to himself.

“Do you like it?” Lian Jue squinted his eyes looking at his expression. He couldn’t help but retort, “Or you can’t help but be in heat when you smell that scent?”

1

Shen Tingwei turned a deaf ear to his sarcasm and raised his voice again. At first, his eyes were mixed with emotions that Lian Jue could not understand.

As if confirming something, he looked at Lian Jue: “You are not a beta?”

Lian Jue stared at Shen Tingwei with a complicated expression for a while and realized that his expression was serious without any jokes. He was about to be arrested in an instant. He laughed angrily.

Lian Jue’s eyes darkened. He felt more and more that this person was unreasonable to the extreme: “Did you run here to trace your childhood?”

Shen Ting didn’t understand what he meant by tracing back his childhood. He didn’t know why Lian Jue always get unreasonable. It was when he mentioned the beta that he reacted so strangely but Shen Tingwei clearly read the anger in his eyes and with a little guessing. He could understand that the beta that Lian Jue understood was not the same thing as what he said.

He twisted his trousers uneasily. He was now vaguely aware that there was something wrong.

Why can’t he buy the inhibitor in the pharmacy?;

Why all the people he has seen in the past two days have no pheromones?;

Why everything here is so weird that he feels unreal?;

Shen Tingwei’s head is so messed up. The more he tried to figure out his own situation. The more messy questions tangled in his head. He felt dizzy after thinking about it for a long time.

Shen Tingwei’s expression was too ugly and his movements were too restrained. Lian Jue looked at him, thinking about the time when Kang Tong was restrained in front of Chen Chulian yesterday.

Lian Jue suppressed the irritability in his heart. He coldly looked away from him, picked up the medical examination report on the table and read it roughly.

It’s time for someone to check his brain.

The overwhelming annoyance was hooked up by the smell of alcohol lingering in his nose and he repeatedly confirmed the formula several times. The blood test report in his hand clearly showed the fact that Shen Tingwei had not been drinking.

“What’s wrong with your body?” Lian Jue put down the blood test report and decided to ask him directly, “It still smells of alcohol.”

Shen Tingwei’s breathing was heavy and his dry throat which made swallowing difficult. He thought about it for a while and found that he couldn’t find a suitable explanation from his dazed brain so he had to tell the truth.

“…I’m in heat.”

Lian Jue raised his head and looked at Shen Tingwei with a vague expression.

He felt more and more that the person in front of him couldn’t figure it out. He made him cry and pant last night. He didn’t hear Shen Tingwei spit out half a word of dirty words. He think it’s kind of funny.

This kind of seduction is simply inferior.

“Are you on drugs or a drunk man?”
