Chapter 5 - First Dance
While getting something to drink, Prince Wells came over.
Prince Wells
Excuse me, ladies?
Prince Wells
But would it be alright if I speak with Miss Inessa?
The others then moved away to meet with the other guest.
Prince Wells
First off, I would like to apologize for the other day.
Prince Wells
It was very rude of me.
Prince Wells
You seem to have been avoiding to make eye contact with me.
Prince Wells
Is it because of what happened or is it because of Prince Alexei?
Inessa
It has nothing to do with, his highness.
Prince Wells
Well since it doesn't, how about having a dance with me?
He then extend his hand and grinned at me.
Suddenly someone grab my hand...
Prince Alexei
Sorry, but I'm afraid she'll be having her first dance with me.
Prince Alexei
I hope that's not a problem?
His highness smiled at him.
Prince Wells
Of course not.

It's your birthday after all.
Prince Wells
You get to choose who will be your first dance.
Prince Alexei
Inessa, may I have this dance?
Inessa
Is it really okay for me to be your first dance?
He then held my hand gently and took me to the center of the ball room.
Prince Alexei
Now, only look at me.

So we can focus on the dance.
As the music played we began to dance.
Inessa
I've never really dance before, so I'm afraid I'll make a mistake.
Prince Alexei
It'll be alright.

And so I followed the Prince lead.

I wanted to apologize for Prince Wells.

The father told me what happened the day we visited the temple.

Did he do anything to you?

Inessa
He just got touchy, that's all.

I'll make sure to speak with him.
Prince Alexei
I won't mention anything about you.
Inessa
I did mean to cause any trouble between you and Prince Wells.
Prince Alexei
He should know better.
Prince Alexei
You can't treat a lady of the temple in such way or one of my people.
Inessa
Thank you for you concern, your highness.
Prince Alexei

The music ended and so was the dance.
Prince Alexei
For your first time dancing, you did a great job.
Prince Alexei
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to speak with Wells.
As his highness left, Tessa came.
Tessa
You just dance with, his highness.
Tessa
And his first dance at that.
Tessa
Now all the ladies here will dislike you, because you stole their chance to have his highness first dance.
Prince Wells
How was your first dance?
Prince Alexei
It was fine.
Prince Wells
I have to admit, you and Inessa looked great together.
Prince Alexei
But it was just a dance.
Prince Wells
So when will they be chosen as the next saintess?
Prince Alexei
I'm not certain.
Prince Wells
And how will you know which of them is the next saintess?
Prince Alexei
They'll be granted divine blessings.
Prince Alexei
Thats how we'll know.
Prince Wells
I think I'll have that dance now.
Prince Alexei
Please don't get any ill intentions towards the ladies of the temple.
Prince Wells
