Marriage
Today is the day. The day my dreadful life has begun. Welp I didn't have any choice, as I was let voiceless by my parents.
Having your parents, arrange your marriage is... You know dreadful itself.
Well you didn't have much of the options as you, we're just adopted, right?
But why must each of the successful parents have to arrange their son or their daughter's marriage to someone wealthy when they're about to go bankrupt?
Well that's my case here.
I didn't even have a time to argue to my parents about this, because they've already decided without me, agreeing on it.
Well, I couldn't do anything as I was thankful to them for adopting me for a reason, but to be married to someone I didn't even know, or I didn't even meet, is a whole new thing.
Yes. I will be marrying someone I didn't know, and I haven't met.
As a token of gratitude to my adoptive family.
As I was in the dressing room, wearing the white gown my parents wanted me to wear, I was looking in the mirror. And I looked like I was carrying the whole world beneath my back.
The maid's have done their assigned job, and that is to give me a wonderful hairstyle and a beautiful makeup and a pair of heels to match up my white gown.
The others were to fix my veil and the flowers I was supposed to hold.
As there were about to leave someone knocked at the door.
They opened it, Just for me to see someone I expected it to be.
Mrs. Jung
My Dear, Are you ready?
I hummed in response as I gave her a gentle smile.
Mrs. Jung
Don't look so forced, Look at yourself.
Mrs. Jung
Your Beautiful, My Dear.
My mom said patting my back, as she was behind me looking at myself in the mirror.
Yeou Bi
I've left no choice, Mom.
My mothers happy face became a sad one to which I have said to her.
I didn't let her finish her words, as I couldn't bare to hear what she's going to say.
I stood up put my veil to myself and picked up the boutique of flowers they've arranged.
As I was about to say a word, my father have knocked at the door before he opened it.
Mr. Jung
Oh, The two most beautiful woman in my world.
My mother snorted back at my fathers pick up like, as my face lit up.
Mr. Jung
Aish, I was just lightening up the tension this room had a while ago...
Mr. Jung
But since both of you we're already done, we should go, It's about time.
Both of us hummed in response.
As my father escort me and my mom to the car to which my dear brother was already there.
Ho Seok
Are you ready, Yebi?
I turned towards my brother and gave him a half-hearted smile.
He noticed the change of my behavior, but he couldn't do anything, just to comfort me.
Ho Seok
It'll be fine. He's a good man. And He's my friend, If he ever hurt you just tell me.
My brother gave me a sunshine smile and I can't help but to smile back at him, comforting me.
I'm happy, that they're the family that adopted me.
The car ride went a minute or hour, so I thought, we arrived just on time.
I was about to walk on the aisle.
And right at this moment, I'm going to meet my soon to be husband.
