Another day but with a new friend

"Lance ? you are alright?" his mother called him as he was blankly staring into space.

"Um? Ah mom! sorry I was just thinking about my next job" he smiled back and went to have his breakfast.

" Lance my son, you don't have to work so much. your father can still work and I am doing my job as well. Instead you should focus more on your college life and get a good job according to your interest " his mother patted his head and showed her worry.

Lance held her hand and with smile he replied " mom you really don't have to be so worried about me. I am good at my studies plus whatever I do gets my interest. And more likely I m getting more and more experience. isn't it good ?

his mother looked at him with love and once again patted his head . In her heart, she doesn't care if he doesn't do anything. All she cares about his health. He has been working hard to contribute but she doesn't want it on the cost of ruining his youth

"mom, I m going to take few days off from part time jobs for exams so you don't worry."

he waved his hand and went outside

His father came from behind and hugged his mother, comforted her by saying how proud he is to be his father as he is independent and has sense of responsibility so she should be worried about herself not him.

...On the way Lance was thinking about his jobs he would try after exams. but all he needs to do now is focus and score good in exams. once he get good result, he might be able to apply for worthy job. Though everything excite him but they are not enough to support family and lead a good life for his brother....

As he was thinking all this, he saw a little boy in his sight. that little boy was squatting down behind bushes and making noises like he was talking to someone. He got curious and his body subconsciously led his mind there out of curiosity. He saw that the person who the boy was talking with was none other than a little cute puppy.

That little boy was startled seeing some shadow figure approaching him. He looked at Lance, his face was pale but when his eyes met with Lance , he sighed

"uh uh so it's big brother .. I thought my teacher followed me and caught me"

"hahaha.... you did something? little boy what did you do?" Lance laughed.

" hehe ... actually I was in my way to school. I saw a cute little puppy . he looked so sad so I brought him with me in my backpack. But my teacher noticed him in class and told me leave him outside. but he followed me back and my teacher got angry so she told me to leave him from where I picked it up" he said it with teary eyes.

" oh! little boy what's your name ? what's this puppy's name ?" he asked.

"Roy....my name is Roy ... and this puppy is puppy. hehe .. I still don't know it's name" he cutely replied "but big brother, I don't want to leave him here . will you please take him with you? He so small... what if gets hurt? And yes.. I will visit him at your home ... please please " he requested with big cute pleading eyes.

Lance was puzzled but couldn't refuse those little eyes of two. " okay! I will bring it with me but you have to promise that you wouldn't pick any one next time instead tell and elder okay? and study well okay? if you agree with me , I will help you". he smiled in his heart and pretend to be serious.

" okay .. I will do as brother says... brother will u bring him to this park tomorrow... I will go with you to your place .. because teacher will punish me if I m late to my class any more" he sadly held his hand.

Lance patted his head and promised to bring little puppy here tomorrow.

little boy stood up and started walking and he would turn back and wave to say " thank you brother " many times and soon lance's eyes lost the track of that boy.

now Lance looked at puppy in his hand and realised

" Oh shit.... I forgot that I was going to college...... well gotta go back to home and let you stay there little man. " he played with its hairs and looked at him in adoring manner.

He went back to home . his mother saw him huffing and out of breath. she got worried and hurried up to ask " Lance ? what happened? are you ok? "

" huff.. huff ... m-mom I m... huff .. I m good just brought this little guy here, found him on my way"

he explained everything and handed him to his mother in hurry and left .

His mother looked at puppy and thought that it was good to have a puppy to keep worries away atleast they can afford to pay expenses of a puppy.

" little boy, are you hungry ? I will buy you a lot of stuff today .. welcome to your new family.. "

little puppy was wagging his tail and licked her. she chuckled and closed the door .
