"Do I get to see my mother now?" Jimin asked.
Almost hesitantly Yoongi shook his headhead.
"No, her soul is still transitioning"
"..Transitioning?"
"Well, when a person dies. Their soul has to go on a.. Journey you could say. To determine whether they are worthy to be accepted into their own paradise. And to do that, your mother has to look back on her life, and see where she did right and wrong. Those that are right and wrong must be weighed to determine what type of person she was in life. And if she discovers what her purpose in life was, and if she lived her life with the kindest heart she could. Then she will be granted her own nirvana."
After going through the same process as they had to reach Taehyungs home. The two had made their way to a field.
It was a lush green. Full of differet types of flowersflowers, most of which Jimin had never seen before. A light mist hung over everything. Giving the open space an almost dreamlike feeling.
Jimin thought they'd ended up in the wrong area. But Yoongi was sure this was the right place. Sitting down in a spot that hadn't been overrun by all the flora, Jimin had followed Yoongis lead taking place on tthe soft green grass.
Curiosity getting the best of him. Jimin had thought maybe after seeing his other family members along with Taehyung and Jungkook, maybe the next person would be his mother.
Sadly the boy was wrong.
"We're actually here for a different reason"
"Oh?" Jimin wasn't sure how to respond.
There was silence while both boys looked out at the field that seemed to go on forever, Jimin wondered if it really did just go on forever. If he'd been able to see his family weeks from now.. Who knew what else could be possible.
"I just.. I need you to promise to listen, and not say anything until I'm done. Alright?"
Jimin looked at Yoongi, his head turning at neck breaking speed.
".. Why?"
"Promise me
"But why!?"
Jimin was afraid. As soon as he'd begun trusting Yoongi, this happens.
"Please, I'm not going to hurt you Jimin.. I just.."
Jimin was surprised that Yoongi was tripping over his words. In the time they'd spent together the boy hadn't seen Yoongi react.. Well.. like Jimin.
"I promise" Jimin interrupted
There was another bout of silence as Yoongi worked up the nerve to speak.
"It was dark, rainy.. I- I was on my way home. Well I already had been home. But then my brother had called me, drunk. He'd been at a party and wanted me to pick him up. Well I ggood. a more accurate description would be his friend called me and told me my brother was drunk"
Both boys looked out at the meadow.
"So I'd gone to pick him up, it was my baby brother what was I supposed to do? Leave him to get home on his own? He'd havs end up in Busan before dawn. He was.. He reeked of alcholhol. His breath, his clothes. It was vile. The stench consumed my car."
Yoongi had kept his composure, but now,he could feel the walls keeping the water in slowly cracking. His voice had changed to accommodate the build-up of mucus as his nose became stuffed and eyes began to water.
"We were driving just fine, we were almost home too.. But then I turned onto ~ road."
Jimin knew that road..
"And Hoseok just opened his door, and I.. I tried to stop him. I took my eyes off the road and..."
The dam had broken. Yoongi was struggling to speak over his cries.
Jimin was numb.
"I was trying to keep Hoseok in the car.. And... And... When I looked at the road again I.."
"You hit her" Jimin finished.
Yoongi looked at Jimin. Teary red eyes meeting blank eyes.
"You killed my mother" it wasn't a question. It was a statement.
"Jimin" Yoongi sobbed.
"You killed my mother" Jimin had always thought knowing what happened would bring him peace. But this, this wasn't peace. Jimin felt nothing.
"I'm sorry" Yoongi begged he wanted nothing more than for Jimin to forgive him.
If Jimin refused to forgive Yoongi. His soul would be eaten, and he'd be trapped in darkness for eternity. But that wasn't why Yoongi wanted Jimin to forgive him.
Yoongi had taken the most important person in Jimins life away, and that was irreparable. There was no taking back what he'd done.
Yoongi would live with the guilt for however long he remained, but if Jimin couldn't forgive him, it would break Yoongi in ways far worse than being sentenced to torture for eternity.
"I- I never m..meant to d-do harm. I was just trying to get my brother home" Yoongi cried.
Jimin felt as if he'd been put into a type of trance, his thoughts bad been overun by a voice. It was deep. Beautiful. If there was a God. This was his voice.
"You have two choices. You may forgive Mi Yoongi, or you may chooseto not forgive Min Yoongi, but be aware Park Jimin. Your decision is irreparable"
Jimin didn't need time to think.
"Yoongi"
Both boys looked at one another.
"I'm sorry, I want too.. But I cannot forgive you" Jimin spoke. Voice barely above a whisper.
Yoongi could only nod his head as tears kept falling. He knew his fate, and he needed to accept it.
"I'm sorry" Jimin whispered.
*crack crack crack* both boys looked down as the ground around Yoongi cracked. Nothing but pitch black seeping through. Jimin could only watch in horror as the ground seemed to give out.
Yoongi didn't try to fight it. It was his time to pay for his sins. Both boys looked eyes as Yoongi plummeted into the darkness.
The ground then healed itself. Any sign of a disturbance covered by more flowers and greenery.
Jimin wanted to scream, he didn't know what he'd done but he knew it couldn't be good. But as much as Jimin wanted to bring Yoongi back, he couldn't.
Jimins eyes rolled back into his head as he passed out.
