Heather

When Cassim arrived in the North Shopping District, he saw Leo being held down by three men and real l the other two were punching him. Heather was over to a side laughing at the scene before her. She walked over and slammed her heel into Leo's shin.

"Hey! Stop that!" Jake shouted at Heather and she whipped her head around. Upon seeing Cassim, she signaled for Leo to be released, and ran over to Cassim.

"Cassim! You should have told me you were coming!" Heather tried to throw herself into Cassim, but he dodged. Heather always tried to look like a businesswoman, a knee length skirt, blouse and blazer. Of course, it was ruined by her taste in clothing. The skirt had a slit 3/4 up her leg, and the blouse was almost see\-through. Her face was covered in makeup, and her hair was brown dyed an assortment of colors.

When Cassim dodged her, she pouted. "Cassim, don't avoid me!"

Cassim ignored her and looked at Jake's shop. The interior was torn apart, and the outside was caked with what looked like eggs. Walking past Heather, he helped Leo stand up and with the help of Jake, he brought him in the shop and treated his wounds. After Leo was treated, Cassim went back out to talk with Heather.

Amara was wondering what she could do to keep herself occupied when a woman with hair dyed all shades of the rainbow walked in.

"Are you the new person Cassim hired?" She glanced at the file in her hand and fixed her blue eyes on Amara. "I'm Rebecca, your colleague." She walked over to the cot and held her hand out.

"Yes, I am. Nice to meet you, Rebecca. I'm Amara Blackthorn." Amara shook Rebecca's hand.

"Great, I'll introduce you to your other colleagues now "

Amara would be working with five other people, besides Rebecca and Cassim. There was Nesta, a woman with black hair cut above the shoulder and dark eyes. Sam had shaggy brown hair, hazel eyes and a tendency to fidget. Isabelle has black hair, brown eyes and was quite confident and snarky. Alec looked similar to Sam, brown hair and dark eyes. The last person was Jason, blonde hair

and blue eyes.

As Amara was getting getting to know them, Cassim came in with two men behind him. Both men had cuts and bruises all over their faces.

Rebecca rushed over to them. "Oh gosh! Jake, Leo, was it Heather?"

Amara winced at the familiar name. Heather was Will's girlfriend, and had been a source of pain for Amara. She would hit and kick her multiple times a day, and once sent her to the hospital with a broken hand thanks to her shoes.

Cassim looked over at Amara who had flinched at Heather's name. "Amara, do you know her?"

Everyone in the room looked over at Amara who seemed surprised to be focused on.

"Yes, I know her..." Her reply was hesitant, with a lot unsaid behind it.

"How?" Rebecca immediately asked.

"Um... she's my stepbrother's girlfriend."

It was clear there was more, so Rebecca immediately asked for more details. "And?"

"She....would attack me." Amara turned away from the shocked eyes of everyone after speaking.

"She did WHAT?!" Rebecca looked ready to hunt Heather down and beat her up.

"Don't worry about it."

Rebecca paused. "Why?"

Amara shrugged. "Everyone does it, it's not anything new. After all, who wouldn't beat me up? Everyone who knows of me only hears things from my "family" and why wouldn't they believe it?"
