Jace crossed the main street and walked on the side walk, he checked his wristwatch it was eleven o'clock, he hurried his footsteps somehow because kept feeling that someone was tailing him and the thought of the talk he will get when he gets home. jace turned into another street it was empty, only a yellow taxi that was still plying the road, 'two more streets ' Jace smiled as he thought to himself. ' oi oi oi, he must be the one ' a voice muttered behind , Jace turned but he saw no one 'who goes there ' Jace asked frightened. a shadow flies past him . ' am right here ' the voice replied. jace turns and looks at him.

'who are you ' Jace asked. 'my name doesn't matter, I was sent to retrieve the sixth. the boy replied. 'you they sent you of all the people playing roles in this game they sent you, we're the same age ' Jace laughed. ' come on bruh I said I ain't part of this ' Jace added in a more serious tone. jace walked past him and tapped him by the shoulder ' go home bro '. jace added and walked away from him, jace took only three steps when he was drawn backwards and flunged Jace flew and hit the lamppost, he coughed blood from his mouth and slumped 'this is no game I could really die, is this how death feels like ' Jace thought to himself. jace could see out of the corner of his eyes. the boy came close To him ' the names, Roger AKA Phoenix : first blood . boss wants you alive but I guess I have.......... Roger was cut short as a police car rammed into him he was flunged a few feet away from Jace due to the impact, the police men came out and pointed their guns at Roger , 'freeze, put your hands where I can see them ' the first officer commanded, Roger stood up to his feet and started walking towards the cops. ' you all have no Idea why am called Phoenix ' he chuckled and kept walking slowly towards them. ' freeze I repeat freeze ' the officer commanded his hands on the trigger . ' nah copper I don't stop for no one ' he grinned widely his eyes glowed red he pointed his hands towards the cop, and shouted

'Phoenix rebirth heat nirvana ' a wave of flamed shot out of his hands enveloping the cop and his car in. jace was still breathing he saw from the corner of his eyes what Roger did the other cop turned and started running, he communicated to the head office requesting for backup, before he could finish his sentence he was cut short by the hole created by Phoenix in his chest the cop fell to the floor. ' now like I was saying, boss wants you alive, so cooperate unless you want to turn into ashes ' Roger turned facing Jace. jace stood up to his feet staggering. ' you can still stand eey ' Roger exclaimed, this time his hands began to glow , he dashed at Jace fist behind. he punched Jace in the face, jace flew back wards, his nose was bleeding he landed in ash. jace stood up to his feet he fell forward and stood up. ' I don't have much time ' Roger screamed in rage as he dashed towards Jace, he knee kicked him in the gut and gave him an uppercut across the chin, jace flew upward, roger caught him by the feet and flung him downwards to the coal tar, jace rolled his legs were dislocated, as Jace was Rolling he caught a glimpse of Rogers robe it had the same insignia as the one Emily wore, and the shady man who followed him to his apartment. ' same robe, same insignia, who are this people ' Jace thought to himself as he rolled. ' who are you people, what have I done, the girl, you, that man what does all this have to do with me? ' Jace asked aloud, roger turned and starts walking towards him. ' I see so you've met Emily ' , he replied Jace and bent over, he picked Jace by the collar jacks him up Jace hangs from his collar his body was lifeless. ' just kill me the way you killed my parent's ' Jace retorted painfully gasping for air. roger laughed and added in a more serious tone ' OK then ' with that he flung Jace upwards and delivered a kick to Jace neck his oesophagus cracked in two , jace fell to the ground.

' even in death...... I have no regrets after all am at peace........... jace thought to himself as he fell, he landed on his back, 'man I thought he'll put up a fight but in the end it was all show and no go' Roger smiled as he muttered to himself .

Jace woke up and found himself drowning in water he struggled to swim upwards but something was pulling him downward he looked and he saw his parents tugging his jeans 'where am I, am supposed to be dead 'Jace exclaimed loudly , he held his throat he was running out of air, his parents dragged him down, 'mom, dad, am finally home ' Jace said softly. but his parents backed away from him, jace stretched his arm towards them but they vanished.—

Jace opened his eyes his vision was blurred, he stood up, staggering, he fell to the ground. 'what ' Roger retorted as he turned and faced Jace.

'all my life I have been a failure, I failed to see or talk to my parents about their daily arguments, I ignored it thinking it was best and when everything became right, they left without saying goodbye ' Jace thought to himself painfully, he stood up to his feet. 'how come you're still alive?' Roger asked loudly. 'I even failed to die, ' Jace screamed as he continued, a car passed by and Parked the man driving ran out of the car before he could go any farther Roger blasted him with another heat wave, he dashed at Jace and kicked Jace the gut , jace rocketed backwards and landed on his back , ' no, no, that won't happen again, I feel the sudden urge to fight back ' Jace grinned as he thought to himself, his body started regenerating he stood up his leg Straightened up. 'I don't know who you are or what beef you have with me , but you killed my parent's in cold blood , that's the only grudge I have against you have this......... '

jace was cut short as Roger caught him by the arm and flung him upwards , roger jumped up and placed his knee on Jace chest, and pulled his arms apart.

'oh so you got the guts to talk ' Roger screamed . 'hahahahaaaaaah' Roger laughed again and again. 'no I won't end up like this, jace inflict pain ' Jace thought to himself. jace eyes glowed yellow, his hair flared up he was lifted from the floor. ' Yeaaa finally some ' Roger screamed in rage as his wings came out fire enveloped him . ' yes, yes the power, embrace it ' a voice spoke in Jace head. ' who are you .
