"He hasn't caught up with it yet, right?" Airi thought to herself as she slowly walked towards the school with Sakamoto.
After all, her efforts would've all ended up being a waste if he managed to catch a whiff of her lying from the get go. The last day was Airi doing her reconnaissance for the whole period. She could've easily went straight to Sakamoto's apartment and met up with him, but she was worried about the questions that he might've asked. And this thought led her to places that the original Sakamoto used to go and guess his daily schedule based off of it.
But it was all fine now. She had successfully fooled Sakamoto, and she knew that he believed her more than anyone else because she was his first human interaction ever since getting to this place.
"What a nice weather, right?" Airi asked with a smile on her face.
"Yea, it indeed is such a nice weather." Sakamoto smiled back as he replied.
But other than that one bit of small talk, neither of them talked. Airi was trying her best to start a conversation, but then again, she was worried that the conversation might take a turn, and she would have to answer questions that she had no answer to.
"Huh, look who's there!" Airi heard a condescending voice aimed towards them. She instinctually knew that it wasn't gonna do them any good to interact with the person behind the voice, but it seemed like Sakamoto didn't think so.
"Hmm? Are you talking to me?" Sakamoto had a confused look on his face as he turned towards that person and asked.
"Who else, you dumb idiot?" The person in question flicked a finger on his forehead as he gave out a rather menacing laugh.
"Ouch! That hurts, you know?" Sakamoto tended to his head as he cried.
Meanwhile, Airi was staring right into the person's face at that point. Because even though the person itself didn't look that familiar to her, the aura that he emanated was something that she was quite familiar with.
"Disruptor..." Airi mumbled as hatred seemed to seep out of her eyes.
Every coin has two faces. If there is good, then there is evil. Then, if there are people who designated to make someone happy, there exists people who are meant to make that person's life a living hell. Antagonist to the protagonist. And for the Navigators, it was the Disruptors.
Disruptors. They are another group that lives in the netherworld, with their whole task comprising one singular thing. To do the exact opposite of what the Navigators do. What do they get from it? Who knows? But they exist to make the Navigator's life difficult.
"Oh, come on, Ms. Airi! We're much closer than for you to just call me a disruptor, right? Call me Maru now, will ya?" The guy had a smile on his face as he came real close to Airi and whispered it into her ears.
However, Airi was having none of it. "Piss off!" She mumbled as she pushed him aside.
"You two know each other or something?" Sakamoto looked a bit confused at that point.
This got Airi worried. She had no idea how to explain how she knew Maru. It was not like she could just tell him that Maru is a disruptor or something.
However, while Airi was all perplexed, Maru decided to take stand. "What the hell is this idiot going on about? Doesn't he know that you are my girlfriend?" He asked as he flicked Sakamoto's forehead once again.
"Ah, is that so..." Sakamoto mumbled. He looked like he didn't know what to do. "Well, I guess I should leave you to it then." He spoke as he began walking away.
"Wait! Are you just gonna believe his words like that?" Airi stopped him and scolded a bit.
"Then you guys are not a thing?" Sakamoto asked.
"No!" Airi looked almost offended to hear such a question being asked to her.
"I see. I mean, you guys sure do have chemistry." Sakamoto chuckled as he said that.
"See? Even the idiot thinks that we should be a thing." Maru slyly put it forth with a cheeky smile on his face.
"Just go away now, will ya?" Airi got increasingly frustrated at that point.
"What if I don't?" Maru smiled yet again, as he got even closer.
"... Well, then we'll leave first." Airi said as she grabbed Sakamoto by his hand and stormed off.
"See you later, Ms. Airi!" Maru waved his hand around all excitedly as he sent them off.

Yea, it seems like my so-called childhood friend is in love with a guy. Well, maybe not. I don't know. I simply don't know how to judge the feelings of a woman. Is she interested in him? Who knows? But I know one thing for certain. The guy was super flirty with her. He likes her for sure.... Maybe... Argh, I shouldn't be doing this.
Anyhow, with us leaving the guy, I decided to ask Airi about it. "So, it certainly seems like you know him." I spoke.
"Yea, and you know very well that he is someone we shouldn't be talking to. I mean, what's going on with you, Sacchan?" Airi asked.
And this got me confused. Maybe I just screwed things up for myself. I mean, was he someone that I should've taken note of? I mean, come to think of it, it did seem like he did not like me one bit while he was fawning over her. Which could mean that he probably might be my bully and I just acted like I don't know him. That was idiotic from me, I guess.
"I... don't know..." I mumbled. I could go two ways now. See, I could either act like nothing happened and just gloss over it, or I could come clean to her and tell her that I remember nothing from the past. Should I do a gamble like that, though? This is gonna be really hard for me.
