Hasegawa Yuuta - Chapter 4

Few hours pass, Yuuta opened wide both his eyes.

With ease, he gets up and jump straight into the bathroom.

Even though he only slept for 4 hours, it doesn't even bother him.

Why would it be? He already used to play online game all night and going to school the next

morning.

After finishing a quick and fresh shower, Yuuta grabs his school uniform and wore it.

-knock knock-

"Hasegawa!" Aoki calling for him from the outside.

Yuuta opened the door.

"Watanabe? What is it?" He asked.

"Yagura sensei call all the student and he wanted to meet us at the training

ground." Aoki replied.

"Let me wear my cologne first." Yuuta started to rush.

"Yea yea, all that important was the look." Aoki mumbled.

"Are you done?" Aoki asked as he peeks into the room.

"All good. Let's go." Yuuta steps out from his room while adjusting his sleeve.

"What a hotie~ Be careful, I might get a crush on you~" Aoki teased him.

"Shut up." Yuuta land a punch on Aoki's head.

"Ouch!" He rubs at the top of his head.

"The hallway seems nosy today." Yuuta said while he's locking his room door.

"Of course, today is Friday. Usually, students will be done from their mission today

because today is reporting day." Aoki replied.

They both start walking to the training ground that is located around 500 meters from

their dorm.

Yuuta took a deep breath in.

The smell of summer morning is so refreshing.

Out of the sudden, he remembered about the girl from last night.

'Does she smell this scent of fresh morning too?' He thought.

"Watanabe!" A girl shouted from their back.

They both turn their back to the source of the calling.

About 10 meters away from them, there is a girl waving her hand towards their direction.

"Hime-chan! Long time no sees." Aoki wave back.

"Watanabe, how was your mission?" She asked.

"All good. I got a new partner along with my mission." Aoki smiled.

"Hi, my name is Nagi Himegoto. Just call me Hime and never put the goto or

else..." She looks dead into Yuuta's eyes.

'The **** is wrong with her?' He thought.

"Okay. I'm Hasegawa Yuuta." Yuuta just sighed to discover that her behaviour was

not much different from Aoki.

"Where is everybody?" Yuuta asked.

"They just got back from their mission, so everyone asked for exception for this

assembly." Hime explains to them.

"And you? What are you doing here?" Aoki asked again.

"Oh me? I got too much energy today. So, I’m going to waste it here. Yagura sensei said

that there will be a tour to the ancient museum today. That's why I

participate. How can I miss this opportunity to touch that Hibiki's powerful

and grateful Katana." Her eyes sparkle with excitement.

"Don't you give him too much credit? Like I mean, is he that powerful, that

Hibiki?" Yuuta asked.

"What?! You don't know about him?" She shocked.

Yuuta just shook his head.

"Well, Hibiki was actually the greatest sorcerer from about 1000 years ago. Just like

us, he is just an ordinary sorcerer until one day, the scholar society

announced that he is sss-rated sorcerer at that time." Hime's start explaining to them.

"He seems like just a guy to me. I mean, Yagura sensei also a sss-rated

sorcerer." Yuuta spoke.

"Yes, Hibiki seems like just another guy. Until after they announced him as sss-rated

sorcerer, he went to vanish. It's so sudden and people thought he already died

or something. And after 150 years later, he comes back and claimed that he is

Hibiki. They said that he's undergoing some kind of experiment on himself in

order to make himself immortal. He succeeds on becoming immortal, but I don't

know how, after years been classified as a traitor by the scholar society, at

last they killed him. I also heard that while undergoing the experiment, he became a demon itself." She

explained to them, with every inch of details she knew about Hibiki.

"Do people believe that?" Yuuta asked again.

"Do you not believe that?" She looks at him, full of curiosity.

"I don't know." He replied.

"Exactly! It not like everyone buying that, but it is the only story about him that people

ever spoke about. Also, it is already 1000 years ago."

"You're right, anything can change withing that amount of time. We don't even know what

happen back then." Added Aoki.

Yuuta nodded his head, as a sign that he agrees with them both.

"Is this everybody?" Yagura asked, suddenly appear behind their back.

"Yes sensei." Aoki replied.

"If that so, let's go. I only have time until noon." Yagura hurried them three

even though he was the one that late.

He took them to the ancient museum that is located under the main building.

"It is already old, but still they asked me to show this to you guys. It's boring

right? Want to skip this tour and go to McDonald instead?" Yagura asked

them.

"No, keep going, I want to see those legendary katana." Hime stated.

"Ehh? Himegoto, didn't you already see those katana for multiple times already?"

Yagura frowned, giving her the look.

"Never enough. Who knew, that maybe my chakra changes in the meantime, and it matches with

the katana." Replied her.

"That scholar society also a problem. Searching for the next owner this way."

Yagura murmured.

"Can I just take the katana?" She asked.

"If only it is that easy." Yagura sighed.

Yuuta just follows them silently.

"Oi, are you good?" Aoki whispered to him.

Yuuta just nodded his head.

"That's crappy, society just want to get rid of the katana, but they don't have the gut.

So, it's took hundreds of years to find its next owner, or maybe the same

chakra as the old owner." Yagura added.

The four of them enter the room, full of talisman, as if they forbid something from coming in

or out.

At the centre of the room, were a pair of katana being on display.

"What a nice katana." Hime tried to control her overwhelmed emotion.

"Yes indeed. What a nice katana." Yuuta and Aoki amazed by how fined the katana

was.

The handle is black and decorated with gold menuki and completed with a red Ito wrap.

The blade was so sharp and shiny as if it was just being sharpened,

Yuuta tried to touch the katana.

To his shock, the shinogi part of the katana suddenly emitted a bright red glow.

Yuuta stops his hand from reaching the katana.

"Take it." Yagura encourages him.

"I just gazed at it." Yuuta tried to explain himself.

"Take it. The katana make the choice, not you. Actually, you are doing the favour to

the scholars, as they want to get rid of it." Yagura added.

Yuuta slowly reaches for it.

"It's felt nice, but not right." Yuuta explains.

"Let's time explain everything to you." Yagura smiled at him.

"Just go with it. Be grateful for what you got." Hime pouting.

"Here here, don't be mad Hime. It's just a katana." Aoki tries to persuade her.

Hime just sighed because she long for those katana for a long time already.

Yuuta examined the katana regardless how disappointed Hime was for not getting the

katana.

He took a closer look at the blade while rub it along the way.

Under the dusty blade, there was a symbol.

The spider lily symbol engraved onto the blade, the mark that left by its master.

'What a beautiful flower.' Yuuta thought to himself.

"Look at that time, it's already 12." Yagura said as he looked at the watch on

his wrist.

Yuuta keeps both of the katana in its Saya and hold to it tightly.

"Let's go have lunch, sensei, I'm already starving." Aoki said.

"Sushi?" Yagura asked.

"Udon!" Aoki and Hime both answered at the same time.

"It's not the answer to my question, but let's go!" Yagura getting excited along

with them.

On their way to the restaurant, Yagura stops his steps and making Yuuta stopping along with

him.

They are now a bit far from Aoki and Hime.

"Yuuta, are you free tomorrow? If not, make it free tomorrow." Yagura said to him.

"Why?" Yuuta asked.

"I need to confirm something." He answered and continues his walk towards the two in

front of them.

Yuuta felt uneased by the answered he got.

Lots of thought start to flooded into his head.

"Sensei, is today your pay day?" Aoki asked him.

"No, it's not. Well, it's not like I get to treat my precious student’s every day,

right?' Yagura put his arm around Aoki's and Hime's shoulder.

"I am not regretting my decision to join you guys today! Even though I don't get the

katana." Hime still bringing the issue up.

"It's okay, you already have your custom water chakra katana, right?" Aoki persuade.

"You got a point." Hime replied to him.

Just to look at them three, makes Yuuta felt sooth and relax.

They seem to have nothing to be worried about.

He felt totally left behind, seeing how much they being happy that way.

'Am I ever like this?' Yuuta thought to himself.

'I did.' The memories of his younger sister snap the reality out of him.

He can't ignore the fact that he misses her a lot.

Yuuta quickens his steps to join them three, doesn't want to keep drowning in his thought.

The four of them enjoy a good bowl of udon, added with jokes and laughter.
