The King's Call to Action

Cid woke up to a knock on his door. He rubbed his eyes and opened the door to find a guard waiting for him. The guard informed him that the King and Queen had summoned him to the throne room. Cid got dressed quickly and made his way to the throne room, wondering what they wanted from him.

As he entered the throne room, he saw the King and Queen sitting on their thrones, their faces serious. The room was grand, with high ceilings and intricately decorated walls. Cid couldn't help but feel a little intimidated, but he tried to hide it as he approached the throne.

The King spoke first. "Cid, we have summoned you here today to discuss the current affairs of our realm. As you may know, we are facing a threat from the neighboring kingdom of Haldor. They have been attacking our borders and we fear that a war may be on the horizon."

Cid listened intently, trying to understand the situation. The Queen spoke next. "We have been keeping a close eye on your progress here in Rivenia, Cid. We believe that you may be able to help us in this situation. You have proven yourself to be a skilled warrior and we believe that your unique abilities may give us an edge in the coming war."

Cid was taken aback by their words. He had only been in Rivenia for a short time, and he didn't feel like he had done anything particularly noteworthy. But the King and Queen seemed to have faith in him, and he didn't want to let them down.

They gave him more details about the current situation, including the strengths and weaknesses of their army and the strategies they were planning to use against Haldor. Cid listened carefully, taking mental notes and asking questions when he needed clarification.

As the meeting came to a close, he heard a strange noise coming from a his back. Cid quickly looked back, his hand on his sword and was surprised to see a strange creature inside.

The creature was about the size of a large dog, with scaly green skin and glowing red eyes. It looked up at Cid and growled menacingly. Cid was about to draw his sword when the creature spoke.

"Greetings, Cid Arden. I am Trogdor, a messenger from the Council of the Five Races. I have come to speak with you about your unique abilities and how they may be able to help us in the coming war."

Cid was stunned. He had never heard of the Council of the Five Races before, and he didn't know what they wanted from him. But he decided to listen to what Trogdor had to say. They sat down together and Trogdor began to explain.

"The Council of the Five Races is made up of representatives from the five main races in Rivenia - humans, elves, dwarves, beastmen, and ogres. We have been monitoring your progress, Cid Arden, and we believe that you possess a powerful ability that could help us in the coming war. We would like to offer you our assistance and training, in exchange for your help in the war."

Cid was intrigued. He had always known that there was something different about him, but he had never been able to put his finger on it.

Cid nodded, "Yes, I will try my best."

The Queen then spoke up, "We will provide you with a map of the areas where we need you to investigate. And we will also provide you with some resources to assist you in your mission."

The King then handed over a scroll to Cid, "This contains information about the recent events and happenings in the kingdom. We urge you to study it carefully and plan accordingly."

Cid thanked them and took the scroll from the king. As he left the throne room, he felt a sense of responsibility and duty towards the kingdom. He knew that this mission would not be an easy one, but he was determined to complete it successfully.

As he walked through the corridors of the castle, he couldn't help but wonder about the powers that the voice in his head had mentioned. He had a feeling that it was something extraordinary, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He decided to focus on the mission at hand and put those thoughts aside for now.

Cid went back to his room and studied the scroll provided by the king. He made plans on how to approach the situation and what resources he would need. After a few hours of preparation, he left the castle and headed towards his first destination.

As he walked through the streets of the city, he saw different races, each with their own unique features and abilities. He couldn't help but feel amazed at the diversity and wonder of this world.

Cid's mission was not an easy one, but he was determined to succeed. He would do whatever it takes to protect the kingdom and uncover the truth behind the recent events.
