Chapter II: Shawn's Birthday

A year has passed since the little boy Shawn was rescued from the collapsed building. He could not forget how a God's Children saved him. It used to be that his parents would only talk about it, but he himself was saved by one of them. And he even became his older brother.

In the past year he always saw Edrian. He seems to be watching over her but the boy doesn't pay much attention to it. The next day, Shawn sees young Edrian fighting the devils.

He doesn't know anything about what happened yet but he admires Edrian. In its method of fighting. He wished he could be like her.

He wants to be strong like his brother. right now he is attending elementary school he is far from his peers. He is not friendly for a reason.

They don't want to sympathize with the problem he is facing. Because Shawn is experiencing bullying from his classmate. And its bullying is simply unacceptable. But even so, no one could report because of threats that they would be punished if they intervened.

Now Shawn is walking down the Hallway to his classroom. It's noticeable that the road is quiet because the first class is about to start. On one side where his section was, there was a group of young people laughing.

"You? You're going to do this now! It should be funny!" The boy said.

"Yes, I'm still hahaha!" Another child laughed.

"Oy! You might be Jay-ar! I'll join you!" Said a boy named Jay-ar.

"Yes tol! That's why we should try it now to make it funny" said the boy Jay-ar and looked at something on his phone.

"Hehe let's see now! Gray Go quickly!" Jay-ar said and Gray immediately ran towards Shawn who was walking.

"Shawn! Shawn Help! We need your help Jay-ar!!!!" Gray shouted begging.

"Oh! Why do you need anything?" Shawn asked.

"Jay-ar was beaten, he's on the bottom now, we need your help, come quickly" Gray said and immediately grabbed Shawn's hand. He immediately pulled Shawn so that he could run.

Now they are going down a flight of stairs and they are able to go down until on the next flight of stairs there is oil spilled on its floor.

Shawn was surprised to see what he was going through. He wanted to let go of Gray's grip but it was very tight.

"You're always so silly Shawn!" Gray said and pushed Shawn down the stairs.

Shawn was about to fall with a tentacle of water wrapped around Shawn's body. Shawn was surprised to see a man floating in the air while his whole body was surrounded by water.

"A God's Children!!!" Gray shouted and immediately sped off. Shawn turned to the source of the tentacles of the water and that's where he saw his older brother.

"Brother Adrian!" Shawn cried tears of tears and tears could be seen in his eyes.

"I can't get over what that boy did to you!, why are they doing that to you?" Edrian asked Shawn.

"I-I don't know bro!, All I know is that they stay away from me and they don't want me!" Shawn was crying as he spoke.

"Shhhh! Don't cry, Kuya is here! I'll take you to your classroom, okay!" Edrian said and lifted Shawn back to the floor where the boy's classroom was. He followed Shawn and walked with him to his classroom.

Edrian knocked and a woman opened the door and it was Shawn's teacher.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry if my brother was late when he entered, something happened because he was late, so please be patient" The young man said while Shawn's teacher was dumbfounded by the look of the young man. "So handsome!"

After a few hours, Shawn was going home and nothing much happened at school except for what happened this morning. He went home to their house. He saw his mother in the kitchen. He saw his aunt and cousins.

"Hello Shawn, you're home!" Greetings from the girl.

"Have you eaten?" Another girl asked.

"Not yet Aimee I'm tired!" Shawn said and immediately went up to his room. There the clean room was revealed to him, he immediately looked for his bed and immediately lay down there.

He stared at the ceiling and whispered.

"Why! Why me!, Of all the children why me!" He kept whispering it until someone suddenly entered his room.

"Uyyy Shawn let's play!" When his cousin Jonna invited him.

He looked away from his cousin and wiped the tears that almost fell from his eyes.

"Jonna, I don't feel like playing games, it's okay tomorrow care!" Shawn said and went back to lying down.

"If you don't play with me I will report you to Auntie that your crying here in your room" Jonna said and she grinned because she had noticed her cousin crying earlier.

"Hayst! I'm not in the mood!" Shawn said and lay on his side on his bed.

The next day Shawn's mother woke up early as well as his aunt. Because today is Shawn's 10th birthday, they put decorations around it and said "Happy birthday Shawn." In Shawn's room, something strange happened to his body.

It is surrounded by Black Energy. Inside his dream, Shawn was in a dark room. He looked around curiously.

"What am I doing here!, Where am I?" Shawn asked and looked in front of him. In the direction where he was looking, there was an image of a man approaching him. He wondered at the strange appearance of the man because his head was on fire.

"Who are you?" Shawn asked in surprise.

"Who am I? For people, you don't seem to know anything about Me, child," said the man

"I am the God of Darkness and the Underworld I am Hades the god of darkness" Introducing the man named Hades.

"Perhaps you already know about the so-called GOD'S CHILDREN? The man asked and Shawn immediately answered.

"Yes, I know, aren't they the children who are lucky to have power" Shawn said, making the man wonder.

"Hmm, you are right in what you said, child, but there is a bigger reason why there were God's Children in the world. It is because of the Devils' Attack and their resistance to the will of the Gods. Me and the other Gods were tasked to find who are worthy to gain our powers, Now you who are a toddler will be my heir to my power" Hades spoke a lot which silenced Shawn.

He Will Be One Of God's Children.

"Child, I still want to tell you a lot but I have to leave. It's up to you to find out your ability for now, this is all I can advise you. Don't let the Devils defeat you" Hades said and in an instant, Shawn woke up.

He was sweating and gasping for breath. In those moments, he only had one thing in mind. Is This The Answer To Being Bold To Fulfill My Dream Of Becoming A God's Children...
