Chapter 1

Well i am already too late, and the classes must have already started. So do I have a lot of catching up to do. Since this is my first time going to a school i should try to make some friends as father said.

The last student to report to the school Daniel Peterson shows up after two weeks.

As soon as he enters through the gate he is greeted by a group of students of the school.

"Hey you, big guy come over here. "

"What's your name? We haven't seen you here before, are you a newcomer " asks one of the students.

"I am Daniel, i just happened to join this school recently. " replied Daniel.

I guess these are one of the seniors. they seems to know a lot about this school. But to be frank they don't really look like seniors.

" Oh, so you might be the student from elite class who was suppose to be here two weeks ago. What were you doing till now? " asks Ron.

"Well i had to deal with something important"

replied Daniel.

"What is so important that you were not able to attend school? Well, not that we really care, since you are so late to school we might as well give you a punishment " says Ron with a cunning smile on his face

"Stop it Ron, look at his qute face, you don't want to make him cry" says Jessica.

" So Daniel are you ready for your punishment " Jack laughs.

Now this is a tight spot. I have heard about seniors ragging juniors in school. Going against them and making enemies is a problem, so i guess i should just go along.

"Ok, I wil..." Daniel was interrupted

"Hey you guys stop bullying him. He is from the same class as you all are. "

What the hell ! I was being bullied by my classmates all along, thinking that they were all seniors. Nothing could be much worse.

"Come on, it was getting fun, he almost fall for it. You spoilt everything Jiya." says Ron with a disgusted face.

"You deserve it. Anyways you are repeating the same class this year. I wonder why are you wasting your parents wealth by coming here, go find somewhere else to study." says Jiya to Ron who was repeating the first year again.

"Now you are going too far Jiya, we were just trying to have some fun." replies Jessica.

"Jessica why try to poke your nose somewhere that you don't have to" says Jiya trying provoke Jessica.

"You.."

"Jessica! let it be. And Daniel we're are sorry for troubling you today, this won't happen again ." says Ron.

"Oh no! its fine, i didn't feel bad at all" says Daniel

His behavior changed suddenly, is it because of this girl Jiya.

"I am also sorry to you Jiya, I know that i have let you down but this time i will live upto expectations "says Ron with determination.

"Don't bother trying too hard, i don't expect anything from you. " Jiya replied in a cold voice.

"Come on Ron, you don't have to apologize to her. " says Jessica.

" Shut up Jessica and lets go" said Ron and leaves the place.

Jiya turns toward Daniel,

"You must be Daniel right. I came to pick you up, follow me I am the class leader. Our school coordinater told me that you were going to report today, so she wanted to meet you."

"Ok, I am sorry that I had to trouble you with this, and thanks for helping me out there "

"You don't have to thank me, they are not really that dangerous as they might look"

"But still you took the risk for me, so i must thank you. Can we be friends? " asked Daniel in a low voice.

" Sure, why not, we can be friends. But you must be careful, you can't trust anyone from this school."

"Really, that's great."

After a while Daniel and Jiya enter the staffroom where Ms Watson was waiting for them.

"Thank you Jiya for helping me out, now you may go to your class. "says Ms Watson

"Yes Miss"

After Jiya leaves the room Ms Watson introduced herself "I am your school coordinator,and you can call me Ms Watson.

So Daniel Peterson, age 17. You know you have picked my interest, because many students from the cities even after getting high level of education, they find it difficult to get through our scholarship test. But you cleared both physical and written examination even after being from a remote village who no one cares about"

"well i was very lucky to get an admission here " replies Daniel.

"Well that's not a problem, but there is something that i don't understand. Mind to explain? " asked Miss Watson.

"What is it Miss Watson? " asks Daniel

"You got perfectly 33% in your entrance exam. I wanted to know if you did that on purpose. "

"No, i think you misunderstood, that must have been a coincidence. " replied Daniel.

"It's fine if you are not willing to say the truth , but even though the school offered you a seat in E - section i am ready to offer you a seat in the first three sections. So what do you say about this offer ? "

"Thank you for your concern, I think I'll stay in the same class that i was offered, so you don't have to worry about me "

"Oh i am not worried about you, anyways its the schools duty to look after their students, that's why you can approach us anytime. " explains Miss Watson.

"I understand Miss Watson and I'll search for you whenever required "

"Before going to your hostel I would like to handover this card "

"What is this? "

"Inside the campus you won't be allowed to use real cash so you must use this card to pay your bills. You have been already given 10, 000 points, but you can earn more points through many ways. For now I won't be wasting your time telling you how to get your points, you will get to know later."

"As you can see your rank is based on the points you have collected. For the time being try to use your money carefully, that's all i can tell you. Now you can go back to your hostel and take some rest. You already have a lot of work to do from tomorrow onwards. "

"thanks for the advice, I'll take care of that"

"Okay, Mr Wade show him to the hostel "

Daniel walks out with Mr Wade to the hostel.
