Chapter 5
The night was full of horror. There was an attack. It gave no time to people there to run and save there lives. Soil turned red from the blood. Houses were still burning.
Tae didn't know for how long he was unconscious. When he gained his consciousness back, he saw tents all around, a group of people seemed like rescue team and camps all over the place. He tried waking up but suddenly he felt stinging pain all over his body and then he saw bandaids everywhere.
Tae tried waking up but the nurse there stopped him.
jimin
Hey don't.. You're still injured... Your injuries will get serious..
Tae was confused. He saw the uniform and recognized that person as nurse. He laid back on the bed but then suddenly the reminisce of that night striked again and he said...
Taehyung
w..where is my family...
Jimin who was busy preparing injections replied nonchalantly..
jimin
You were alone when we found you...
Tae was scared. Where is his family then? He saw jimin coming close to him with an injection..
jimin
Keep your arms lose okay.. I'm going to inject you...
Taehyung
I want to see my family..
jimin
Don't worry.. rescue team is doing there job.. let's see if they can save you...
Tae wasn't satisfied with this response but his body was also not in a good condition. He wanted to walk out of this camp and find where his parents are but he couldn't move his limbs properly.
Taehyung
Who-who are you..
jimin
Oh yes.. Well I'm jimin.. I'm a part of that rescue team..
jimin
Your place was under attack which caused this much destruction.. You're lucky .. You're alive...
Was tae really lucky? He didn't know whether his family is safe or not. He was all alone here and that too in vulnerable condition. He didn't know what will happen to him the future then how is he lucky?
Taehyung
T-tae .. taehyung .. kim taehyung..
Jimin nodded his head and left him alone.
Rescue operation was still going on. After the attack it became more like a graveyard. Piles of dead bodies everywhere. Homes were not same as before and the land almost lost its recognition as second heaven as the ground was smeared with blood and corpse.
Place was full of armed soldiers. War didn't stop, it was still going on that's why the major ally of lanlay was there as rescuer and protector.
Tae heard a voice, a loud roaring voice which could be heard easily by even a big distance. Tae raised his tiring gaze and levelled his body up. He removed his blanket and went to enquire the person behind this loud thunderous voice. He could feel pain in his limbs but still his heart wanted him to move. When he walked outside the tent he saw a group of men standing in front of a person who seemed like their chief. He was commanding and directing them. Tae could only see his back but out of curiosity to see his face, he stood their patiently. The man turned.
(I know he has short hairs but assume something like this)
Tae felt like he should run to this man and ask where his family members are. He is chief right, he must know where his parents and brother are staying. With this hope in his heart, tae moved his one leg and attempted to run but his injuries were a big hindrance, tae immediately fell on the floor.
Officer heard the boy scream and ran to help him. Tae's whole body was throbbing with intense pain, he managed to get up with the support of his elbow but failed. Officer came and helped the boy to stand in his feet, with his help tae managed to walk to his bed and sleep. The officer was about to leave when tae stopped him by pulling his wrist gently.
Taehyung
Wait .. don't go...
Tae tried getting up again but officer stopped him and asked him to sleep.
Taehyung
Please officer hear me out first...
Taehyung
I wanna meet my family.. Please don't leave...
Tae was panting heavily and was about to cry but officer assures him..
Seokjin
Don't worry.. we're still on it..
Tae wanted him to stop and give more details but before he could speak any further, officer left him already.
