Boruto's
We are walking ahead of the time travelers and Uncle Sai. They had stopped from their steps, looking up to the Hokage Faces.
I know they're some people from the past. Uncle Sasuke and I had a trip to the past not too long ago. It's not the same as their timeline though. Compared to where we were, it was earlier.
And they just look so much like my Dad and Mom's friends. Mom and Dad are there too.
What would Father be thinking regarding this? Regarding me near the scene?
"What was that?! I'm sure Papa was the one eating my fav chips! " Thrilled Chocho said, almost ripping her hair off.
We panicked because of that. We again checked our distance from Uncle Sai and his company.
"Chocho," Sarada grabbed her friend's arm gently and looked at those at the back fastly to subtly remind her.
It was far enough. I guess.
A few moments of silence and absence of motion. We were lost in our own thoughts once again.
Sarada sighed still looking back at them. Mitsuki was the one who woke her up from her thoughts and dragged her softly.
What's is she thinking about?
"Auntie Ino can slay! Have you had a great look at her outfit? What a fashionista!" Chocho stomping her feet.
She has a lot to say.
Shikadai was the first one to notice who they were but still didn't say anything until now that we're away from 'that' group.
"Thank you for not voicing out everything you want there- I mean when we were together with them. I'm sure we shouldn't be talking about anything freely. Especially if we are near them. In any case, we might just wait for Uncle Sai's heads-up," Shikadai said.
Good thing Shikadai was there. If he wasn't there keeping us silent I'd be in really big trouble. Talking shit that I shouldn't be saying. Asking them who's him or her.
Worse, saying if they are alive or not. And the situation is not clear yet. We should still be on guard.
"Mm. After the interrogation in the office, we should be informed by then. The important question they have to know the answer to is how and who." I predicted that caused my breathing to deepen.
"Normally, they will take 1 to more hours depending on how important the incident or people are." Inojin added the procedures he knows about ANBU since his father is the Head of the ANBU.
We nodded after he told us more. Our company is still walking slowly while the other group behind is not moving inches. We're getting farther away.
"What are they talking about?" Sarada mumbles casually. Why does she seems to be more assertive.
She's too focused to mind our presence here.
"What do you think, Boruto?" Mitsuki tilts his head to have a clearer sight of me.
I glance at them and notice they're looking at the carved faces still. It's about that I guess. I hope my wannabe Hokage Dad is happy with what he is seeing.
After learning that from the 12-year-old Naruto I've been primarily educated by that fact. He wants that job, to protect and be someone to look up to.
"Astonished and hype by the new faces for sure." I gestured upward, where the seven faces look down upon us.
"Ah yeah! You're right," Chocho agreed, hugging Sarada's arm.
Sarada then got distracted by Chocho preventing her to think about her worries for a second.
"Well, it's certain that they be having an intense conversation regarding that," Sarada says.
"Young Hokage-sama is so handsome." Chocho pouted.
That caused Sarada to smile in agreement.
Sarada and Chocho taking the lead, talking about how incredible, cool, and handsome my Dad is.
Inojin followed and walked beside Sarada. The 3 is quiet now, looking down and slow steps. Drowned by stray thoughts. They seem dull.
Shikadai was staring at me with his thin dark eyebrows creased upward towards each other.
What did I do?
I didn't say anything and dragged him along. We will talk about our concerns later on. I bet my friend knows it by now though, he knows me well.
My father and I just got on good terms I don't want to crumple our situation. I own up to my pranks and faults but am being accused of something this big. Bringing important people to where they shouldn't be.
This might be the reason for some conflicts within the timeline. This may be a reason which will undo everything that already happened. I don't want to be in trouble with this one.
It's better to do whatever mistakes there is but undoing the done is worse.
But I didn't do this one tho.
"Ah! A worthy rival you are, Kakashi." A lone person making such great noises.
Among them, Sir Gai was the one with most of a big mouth. It surprises me that my father isn't saying much and annoying anyone now. Or maybe it's just his 13 years old self who I happen to meet before is the annoying one?
It was indeed night already. The brush of fresh air against my skin. The chatters of the Hidden Leaf people reached our ears. We're a couple of blocks from them, enough not to cross paths with anyone.
"I know you'll soar high Kakashi! That's why I made you my rival! Ah! Memories, those youthful days. We're still youthful though but you know what I mean." His strong arms around old man Kakashi's neck.
Mitsuki and I both turn our heads, curious.
"Let's move on, Gai." Kakashi tapped his friend's lower chest.
"No!" Sir Gai protests.
They're getting close. Where here we are with tracks so slow and chaotic minds oblivion to the approaching. Except for me and Mitsuki.
Wearing innocent golden eyes, he looked at me.
"Don't act rashly as Shikadai says." In unison, we whispered almost just mouthing the words that were spoken.
We nodded to each other and continued walking at the same pace as my friends.
In a little while.
"Boruto." Uncle Sai called me.
I took a few steps and so as he. Uncle Sai then pull me closer. Holding my shoulder, he whispered.
We're still walking.
"You all did not say some silly things to them, right?" That fastened my heartbeat.
"No, luckily. Shikadai noticed immediately what was going on and told us what to do."
"Good." Uncle Sai give off a relieved look.
"It would be big trouble ahead if some did say something. Their existence already is troublesome," Shaking his head, he says.
"How would we prevent the past from undoing what's already done?" Asking what worries me the most. Praying to God they have a solution.
"We'll find a way. The Yamanakas will obviously be involved with this if the four of us decides that erasing their memories would be the best option."
The four would be Uncle Sai, uncle Shikamaru, Dad and Auntie Ino, I guess.
After releasing a deep sigh he talks again.
"We won't be able to make a decision immediately. Discussion with important people will happen. Enough time for Sasuke to be here."
Thinking about what he had said, I stayed silent.
"If the Hokage decides to have a private conversation with them, gather your friends in the lobby or somewhere in the Hokage Tower."
My head motioned a nod.
"But it only depends on how my conversation with Shikamaru and Our Hokage. We will call you." He signed deeply eyeing the Hokage Tower.
I looked up and asked.
"What do you think of them, Uncle Sai?"
"We haven't got a proper conversation but based on what I have seen and how they act... I think we're fine. It is them, from the past." He turned to have a look at the time travellers over his shoulder.
"Do you have an idea of how they got here?" Hopeful and afraid of what could possibly be his answer.
"It's the Otsutsuki turtle, they told me. The one who brought you and Emo Sasuke to the past." Serious now, he shuffled my hair.
Relief by what he said, I found myself inhaling a big amount of air.
With genuine sympathy, Uncle Sai said gently. "Don't worry. You should know I'll back you up, Boruto."
Looking up and seeing him. With deep black eyes, pale skin and an awkward smile it's visible to me that he somehow understands what I am worried about.
"I got you, kid."
That calmed me down. Uncle Sai will back me up.
Lights from the Hokage Tower illuminated every part of the building. A woman wearing a purple hoody top and a greenish shorts stood at the entrance. Beside her was a girl resembling her hair color.
Cold wind makes their deep blue locks fly and play in the air.
Women I certainly know who. Two women I love.
My mother's pearly orbs sparkled as the light shows her beauty. Hima stood straight from leaning toward Mom.
I almost ran. Mom scanning me with her byakugan while standing so still.
Hima, running with her tiny arms wide open, welcoming me. "Nii-chan! I'm done with my second tryout."
I pulled her for an embrace. Beaming with pure joy she pressed us towards each other. Perhaps her tryout went well today.
"Your day has gone great I see?" I smiled at her in order to match her mood.
"Mm!" She nodded and held my left arm.
Two pairs of blue eyes met Mom's pearly ones. Even she checked me up already, knowing that I'm physically fine. She asks still.
"Are you good? What happened? I mean I'm aware of the time travellers but..." She softly says caressing my whiskered cheeks.
I smiled. Shaking my head slowly tilting my head to where her hand is.
"What will Touchan say about this?" I asked as if she'll know.
Maybe she does but...
"Hey, you being close to where they were doesn't indicate you're afflictively involved." Her eyes gone more expressive than it was ever been.
My eyes warmed up. Totally out of my control. My mother's face showed a panicked and shocked expression. My cheeks have gone red realizing Mom is seeing me slowly breaking down.
"Don't worry, Love."
Such a soft voice, she talks with. My mother hugged me and swayed a little from left to right. I hid my face close to her shoulder wiping my tears.
"Oh. Unlike before you really like shouting your cries making everyone know you're mood."
I chuckled because of that. I pulled back to see her face, unlike her who can see 360. She was smiling trying to suppress a laugh.
"Don't sway!" I laugh.
Her other hand is on top of Hima's small head. Hima was hugging my waist and Mom's hips, smiling at us.
That. All of that shut down all the ill thoughts that flooded my head moments ago.
