My Life Began After My Death
90-91-92 My heart beat quickened my mind raced looking for a way out. 93-94-95 my knuckles turned white as my grip tightend on the wheel. 96-97-98 my vision began to blur I could no longer see the road infront of me only lights streaking as I flew past them. 99-100 My vision cleared just long enough to see my end I try to swerve to to avoid the collision but send my car into a roll it begins to tilt and time slows down my life leading to this point flashes before my eyes at the same time I see my end coming at me 100 miles an hour but at the same time as slow as in a motion picture scraps of metal ripped from the frame bits of glass gleaming in the moon light specks of blood floating as if in zero gravity in one eye I see my birth the love in my mother's eyes the pride in my father's smile in the other the end the place where my soul shall leave its prison of flesh and bone and the future grave in which it shall lay until it is but dust and dirt and one with the earth, I see visions of heaven and hell of judgment and forgiveness, I see the tears and sadness in my the eyes of my friends and family and the happiness and cheer in the cups of my enemies. At last I close my eyes I loose my fingers from the wheel I take a deep breathe relax and let out a chuckle of relief for I know my time has come I know I shall have eternal rest and peace then time sped back up the vehicle screeched to a halt my body in shambles every bone broken a puddle of blood forming on the ceiling my arms dangling limp the only thing holding my body up being my seat belt the distant wails of sirens signifying help that'll come far too late Ibtake in my final breath and smile once more then suddenly I'm blinded I bring my arm up to shield my eyes from the starch white contrast of where I now laid but it doesnt help it's as if my arms are made of light and make it even worse I try clenching my eye lids shut but but as if they're made of glass clear as a windoallowing the light in but suddenly there is a shadow blotting out the light causing my eyes to scream out in the relief they so desperately begged for, a hand reaches down offering to help me to my feet and I take it without hesitation and just as suddenly as the hand appeared I was sitting in a chair infront of a great oaken desk a man sat on the other side dressed in a robe of light with a comforting smile his hands clasped to one another held to his chest as if in prayer then he spoke his voice like the wind strong yet soft booming yet quiet sad but joyous. My son, he said like a father to his boy, no doubt you know your time has come, you know you have passed and come to be judged but your life cannot be judged for it is not yet over granted you are no longer on the mortal plain but in fact in the realm of spirits and Gods of those who have passed and not yet been born where faith and reality become one and the same. My son I present to you a choice be reborn on earth where you shall relive your previous life and then some or continue your story on another world where the challenges are greater than what you have seen, but will allow you to grow to be powerful, humble, and filled with a sense of destiny choose wisely my boy be confident in your answer or you will regret what you say. Thoughts raced through my mind of what to do what my choice should be I thought of the pros and cons of both options and I thought long and hard on which one to choose, once I had finished I looked to the man infront of me someone to which my feeble mind could only think of as an angel but in all reality was far more powerful, I would attempt to look him in the eyes only for my own to divert themselves and I would smile as I spoke my voice low and filled with respect for the great being infront of me. Sir, I said with a hint of fear, I wish to go to another world earth has shown me all it has to offer it has shown me its beauty it has shown me how ugly it's people can be so I want to go to another I want to breathe new air speak new languages meet new people and gain new knowledge I want to become greater than anyone else and kinder than the warmth of the sun. After I spoke my words the man would smile a warm loving smile and he would unclasp his hands holding them both out to me but not in a gesture for me to take hold but as if to accept my words before taking them to his chest and hold them tight. then go forth my son, live a life worth living, live a life full of happiness and joy one of wealth and power.
