Hey recently I think about main character. I didn't add any name or gender to yn, so you can relate properly. Iwatobi is not a men swimming Club there is also female like Gou just they are not related to swimming they are manager.
personal opinion I would like to imagine myself as a 16 years old high schooler and swimmer as Iwatobi has boy swimmers.
