The months passed by and the school went well at the end Miss Susan was in charge.
Right before the classes in the morning Isla grandma felt bad, she got sick.
She called Isla very slowly into her bed and told her that she was with vertigos and fever… feeling very tired.
Isla told her she was going to miss the school that day against grandma’s will.
Grandma said It wasn’t worth it but Isla insisted.
…
Meanwhile Khaia was in the school with Koen.
This is not usual Koen, Isla is the first to arrive she is very late let’s go at her place to see what’s happening.
But… they were in the classroom and obviously Miss Susan wouldn’t let them go.
At this point Koen said:
-Let’s wait a bit but I am worried too.
She couldn’t felt asleep today it’s her turn to read her poem to the class.
Miss Susan clever asked:
-Why so many noise there Koen and Khaia?
-We are worried about Isla.
Anything happened but we might go see what is going on at the break time, at lunchtime you go there to see what’s the trouble.
-Ok then.
There was a prolepse on the time since the end of summer to Christmas, all because there was an important thing on the story.
Her grandma was truly sick the doctor said her body was in self failure.
She could lose all her mobility. Conclusion the sudden illness was a mistery.
The boys founded Isla crying inside her room, and she told them about everything.
She had to be at home taking care of her now, the school was a second plan.
The boys carefully told her:
-You still have both of us and probably grandma is going to be here for many years.
Koen also had one idea:
-We can ask Miss Susan the lessons and the homework to you.
That would be great said Isla.
Indeed her grandma was weak but the boys didn’t comment that.
-Isla we will be around here and you can pass the school year with our help.
-Thank you this is not the same without grandma’s meals, care and agitation.
Isla could pass the entire days studing and in the meantime the doctors were doing a different treatment.
It wasn’t Parkinson’s it was diagnosed as Gaucher illness.
A lifetime illness. On the hospital they said the right treatment will give her stability and in January Isla could return to her school with the boys.
Weird her grandma laughed and said:
-Isla you are a Winner your grandma will get better to spoil you with caress.
Isla asked:
-And I am a winner grandma?
They started to feel restful and as a grandma she was Isla family.
Her parents had to move to Switzerland permanently because of their business…but she stayed on Kuta. The idea was to give the option to Isla and opportunity to grow and live in the same place. You know roots… bloody roots.
And this was the magical pre Christmas events.
Fortunately.
