melody is damn close to failing philosophy and need to do decent on the mid term to bring up her grade. Anything less than C and she's skipping down the path of probation, straight toward suspension.

karrisa is may not be in danger of failing,per se, her scholarship is a different story. She doesn't belong to wealthy wall street bankers like melody and can afford to piss around. Her mother isn't in position to help her.....and her father......not all of us have one of those.
