A Present

that same evening, on my birthday as I said no birthday party , no birthday vibes and no birthday smell at all ha I know it's kinda funny but yeah it wasn't any special day.

we were having dinner as normally and that's when my father said to me" Laura congratulations , you've grown really fast"

hhum I nodded.

then he said " hope you aren't upset that I didn't take you out to celebrate your birthday , it was an intense day for me, but I promise I'll make it up for you"

Dad it's ok , I'm a grown up now remember?

I understand father's good intentions, so don't worry dad ,I am not upset ,I responded.

right, usually my father take me out on my birthday every year, he takes me whenever I want and bought me whatever I ask for , and yes only the two of us , because my sisters wouldn't go out with me .

And my wish was asking them to let me live at the campus only then I would be able to escape my unpleasant life.

but on the second thought I was wondering whether that would be my only way out !

but to be honest the best present I ever wanted since I were five ,and that was the only thing I ever wished for was a family, the love of family , to feel the warmth of being cherished by your own family , not only being loved by dad but also my young sisters and Katherine my mom..
