Ava glanced behind her, staring in shock as Antonio’s cold and straight figure walked towards her from the entrance—

Why would he show up here?

The people watching from the sidelines were stunned. They saw that the man approaching had a tall and imposing figure. It was as though he was brought along by the spring wind outside the door. His serene and dark eyes led them to feel cold inside; no one knew where this stern and frigid god came from.

The moment Amy and Thomas turned around and saw Antonio, their faces froze in shock.

The common people here would not know of Antonio’s true nature, but how could they not?

Antonio’s cold dark eyes scanned past Amy and quickly landed on Ava. He saw the shirt she had placed on the counter.

“Mrs. Sylvester will be chased out of the Sylvester family’s door? Why don’t I know of this?” he asked calmly in a low voice. Although his words sounded inoffensive, the temperature in the shop seemed to forcefully drop in an instant.

Amy gaze trembled. “Mr. Sylvester, why would you be here…”

Antonio had yet to glance at her.

He walked toward Ava. The employees by the side unconsciously stepped back.

Ava did not know why he showed up here, but because of his appearance, her heart became calmer.

As he approached her, she raised her head and smiled. ”I’m all right. There’s no need to stand up for me.”

Antonio seemed not to have heard her at all. He held her hand, placing it in his palm—This one action was silent yet determined.

“Mr. Sylvester, this is just a misunderstanding…” The moment Thomas saw Antonio he became scared.

Thomas saw that the crowd had yet to disperse. In fact, the amount of people gathering was increasing.

He was the young master of the Scott family, something like a public apology…

Amy’s expression immediately became pale as she felt she knew what Ava would say next.

Amy felt as though she had fallen into a pit of ice.

“Why? You don’t wish to dance?” Ava turned back to glance at the people who had gathered outside the door. “Then why I don’t I pick a man here for you and you sleep with him for a night.”

Amy trembled from head to toe. It was not clear if she was scared or angry.

Thomas who was listening at the side began to panic. Today, if he did not make a public apology, not mentioning Antonio—who was a suppressing force in his own right—merely dealing with Ava alone would not be easy.

Why not lower the price and sell it to me?”

Thomas became stunned for a moment. He never thought that Ava who had no interest in the corporate world whatsoever would make such an offer.

Antonio also glanced at Ava.

Ava saw Thomas’s expression. “Thirty million and the two companies will all come under my ownership. Deal?”

“Thirty million? I have two companies! Two hundred million is considered selling it at a low price! Miss Clifford, you are clearly taking ad…”

“…” the corner of Thomas’s lips trembled.

Her expression… She was obviously doing this on purpose!

Thomas closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. He could not offend Antonio. If not, not even mentioning those two small companies, perhaps the entire Scott Corporation would not be able to survive.

Right now, even if they wanted him to bow and offer the two companies for free, he could not reject.

Before she left, Ava remembered to buy the shirt and then, before the eyes of an envious crowd, they left with their shoulders pressed together.

The autumn night was cold. Yet, standing by Antonio’s side, she did not feel any cold. Ava walked and asked, “How did you know that I was here? Were you close to the building earlier?”

Antonio did not reply, opening the car door for her to enter. Ava sat down and then rushed to search her mind. “I drove the car here today myself.”

“Let Shaun drive it back.”

“Assistant Shaun is nearby?” Ava glanced around curiously but did not see anyone.

“What do you want to eat?” Antonio got in the car.

“Anything will do; eating simple is good enough~.”

“The issue about your card being frozen, why didn’t you mention it?” His voice was calm, but he was clearly upset about the fact that she had been acting strong all this while.

“It’s not completely frozen. Every month I still have around ten thousand. I also don’t have much to spend on, so I never brought it up,” saying this, she rushed to hand over the black card in her hands, “I do not lack anything in the Bellevue Hill. I won’t be able to spend much money. This card should still…”

The street lights outside the car were bright. Ava stared outside for a while but could not help turning to ask, “Why did you appear there just now?”

“Passed by.”

That hospital did have several roads nearby. It seemed like it was necessary to go by them to return from SLV Corporation to the Bellevue Hill.

Ava stopped asking but turned her head to stare at him.

Antonio wore a black handmade shirt. She could not see any obvious brand tag, but with one glance, it was clear that it was not cheap.

She thought that later when they got home, she would have him try on the shirt that she had bought. She had just opened her mouth to speak when she sneezed, “Achoo-”

Her nose felt sour and somewhat uncomfortable, Ava raised her hand to rub her nose, yet another sound came out. “Achoo!”

“I just reminded you not to catch a cold this morning.” Antonio heard her sneezing and immediately turned on the heat in the car.

Ava held her nose while speaking gloomily, “In the afternoon, when I came out I didn’t feel cold. It’s probably just my nose that is slightly uncomfortable. It shouldn’t be a cold.”

In the afternoon, she had left in a rush. Since she was planning to drive, she did not even wear a thin cardigan. Recently, Sydney had just entered into autumn.
