Chapter 4

(The same day),

Restaurant, (outside the shopping center). 4:00 pm

Levi, Lucy and Ruri are sitting on the chair, encircling the food table.

"Brother! Try this one! It's amazing!"

Lucy said pushing a plate of cake towards him.

"No need Lucy! I am already full."

Levi said his face a little down.

"OK! Me and Ruri will finish it on our own then!"

She said taking a spoonful of cake.

Levi watched the two of them and thought,

"How did I end up into this, again?"

He remembered what happened when he reached home this morning.

He opened up the lock. Inside sitting in the sofa was Lucy, who was burning in flames with anger.

"N..o..w,..y.o.u.....c.a.n...g.o... L..u..c..y!!"

He said, his voice shaking in fear.

"NOW YOU EXPECT ME TO GO"

"LOOK AT THE TIME FIRST"

"I AM ALREADY HALF AN HOUR LATE"

"I MISSED MY TODAY'S CLASS JUST BECAUSE OF YOU!!"

She shouted in anger.

(Since, Lucy was very fond of dancing, she thought of taking a month dance course during the summer vacation)

"I am really very sorry Lucy! It was my mistake! Please forgive me!"

He said with a bit of sadness in his face

"Ok! I will forgive you! But in one condition!"

Lucy said.

"I agree to all of your conditions! Just tell me..!!"

Levi was happy again.

"We did have fun today, right Ruri!"

"I did such huge shopping after a long time indeed!"

Lucy said looking all her shopping bags on the chair, next to her.

"Lucy, after this, let's go to that place you mentioned before. I heard the big bumper sale is still on there!!"

Ruri said.

"Ya! Ya! I was thinking the same!"

Lucy replied.

Having heard this, Levi stood up abruptly.

"Alright, girls I am going!"

He said.

"I mean I remember I had a little work, which I need to finish."

His tone changed to a little polite one.

"I will pay the bills for you at the counter!"

"Have fun, Ok!!"

He turned back and walked fast downstairs to the counter.

"Wait... brother..!!!"

Lucy said but he was already gone.

"Ah!! This brother...! He never listens to me!!"

She said a bit angry.

"Its ok Lucy! We can go there by ourselves!!

Ruri said consoling her.

Levi got out of the restaurant.

"I am so bored! What do I do now?"

He thought.

"Let's go to see Adam then!"

He decided.

Adam's apartment, 1:00 pm

(A `no-owner' room which was going to be Elsa's room from today onwards)

Elsa was lying in the bed thinking of all the things that happened today.

"Damm... I messed up again..!! But thank god Ad just got there in time!"

She thought.

"I am just a stupid... but he... he is as always so smart and calm!!!".

"He didn't say a word there (in the taxi) when we were coming to the apartment this morning................"

She remembered all the events as she thought.

"Wow!! The house looks so clean!"

"You kept all the things in their right places!!"

Elsa said looking around the living room.

"Yes. I cleaned it yesterday."

He said.

"Wow! Isn't this my sketchbook! I thought it was lost!"

She said taking out the sketchbook from the drawer.

"Haha... look at all these funny sketches! I was not that good at drawing...!!"

She laughed as she flipped the pages one by one,

Adam stood there looking at her smiling a little.

While Elsa was flipping the pages, a photo (of two of them) fell down. She picked it up, and looked at it carefully,

"Ad... look you haven't changed even a bit!"

She said smiling, showing him the photo.

Ad smiled and said,

"But you have changed a lot!"

"Look how thin you are now!"

"And what's up with this hair?"

He said pulling her hair bun.

"Ah.. ya...I lost much weight in the past year only! You know how busy I was then."

She said.

"I couldn't even give you enough time, I know."

She said, looking down, her face a little worn out.

Adam too stood there expressionless.

A moment of silence prevailed.

"But, you wouldn't believe how long my hair is now!!"

She said smiling, trying to lighten the mood.

"Let me show you!"

She untied the bun pin. Her hair fall down the shoulders and back.

"Alright! Alright!"

Ad smiled.

"What about your glasses?"

"And what dress are you wearing? A gown?"

He asked further.

"This dress..!! You know mother... she....."

Elsa said.

Levi remembered those past events with his mother where his mother would always emotionally blackmail Elsa to wear such clothes. (So, Elsa preferred to go to shopping with her brother.)

"Look Elsa... this beautiful Violet And Red Embroidery Soft Net and Taffeta Silk Umbrella Cut Full Flair Party Wear Gown...!!"

"I bought it just for you!!"

Her mom said showing out the dress in her hands.

" Violet and red.....what...what.... what....?"

Elsa turned around.

She pushed up her glasses a little. She, then looked at her mom face, which was full of excitement and the gown in her hands.

"Mom!! You know I don't like this!"

She again turned back to the laptop screen and continued her typing.

"I know..!! But I am your mother..!"

"And a mother would always want her daughter to be beautiful and confident!!"

She said being a little emotional looking at Elsa.

But Elsa seemed unaffected. Then, she said, (being emotional again),

"You know Elsa! When, I first saw this dress, I knew, it was meant just for you!! I then decided and bought it just for you!!"

"But now, you are saying, you don't like it??"

"Ok! I understand it!! I won't interfere from now on!!"

Elsa didn't turn back again.

"Ok! I am going!"

She said and was about to leave,

"Alright! Alright! I am wearing it! Put it there!"

Elsa said.

Adam's mom smiled and put it inside the cupboard.

"Adam will also like it, I know for sure!"

she said locking the cupboard.

"And Elsa about those glasses...you know..."

She said pouting her face.

"Ya! Ya! I will wear my lenses! You don't worry!"

Elsa replied without turning back.

"I knew it..!!"

"Alright! I am going!"

Saying this, her mom left.

Elsa turned back to the door and smiled.

"Ya..! I could imagine what could have happened!"

Adam said smiling.

"Ya! Ya!"

Elsa smiled back.

"Well, you seem a little tired, you can take rest for now in that room! I will see you later!"

Adam said taking the sketchbook from her and keeping it back.

"Ya! You are right! I will rest for a while!"

"See you later!"

Elsa was thinking all these while she felt asleep.

Adam walked inside the room. He got closer to her, looked at her and smiled,

"I am glad that you are here!"

He said.

He pulled out the blanket and covered her up then left the room.

(The same day)

Outside of Adam's apartment, 4:40 pm

Levi is standing in front of the main door trying to open the door.

"Oh ho! It's locked!"

"Adam might have taken her sister out for a walk!"

He thought.

"I should go too then..!!"

he thought and was about to leave when he remembered something,

"I now remembered! The book that I searching for, I had left it in Adam's place that day!"

He walked back to the door.

"Thanks to me who always carries the spare key Ad gave to me!"

He said as he took out the key and unlocked the door.

He walked inside and looked carefully all around.

He then pulled out the drawer and started looking.

"Where is it?"

he was looking onto each of the book one by one.

A glimpse of the girl from the morning came into his mind.

"What the... why am I even thinking about that girl?!!"

He thought and smiled.

"Her eyes...her eyes make the stars look like they are not shining"

"Her hair... her hair falls perfectly without her trying"

..............

He started singing all of sudden while still searching for the book.

The loud noise echoed all over and Elsa woke up.

"Who is making this noise!!?"

She stood up still half asleep and started walking.

Reaching downstairs, she saw a man (Levi faced her back) who was pulling out all drawers and cupboards,

"A guy!!!", she looked into him carefully.

"But..but this is not Adam..!!!", she said.

She looked around and found a gulf stick. She approached slowly towards Levi holding high the gulf stick in her hands.

Levi was still into his work, totally unknown of things going on, and still singing,

"When I see your face...."

"Isn't it `Just the way you are by Bruno Mars!!??" She said to herself.

"There's not a thing that I would change..."

Elsa joined it. (while still approaching him)

(Of course, she couldn't resist her singer- self)

Levi smiled and continued, (still searching for the book)

"Coz you're amazing...just the way you are..."

"And when you smile..... the whole world stops and stares for a while...."

Elsa joined.

"Coz girl you're amazing just the way you are...!!"

Levi joined too.

He turned around saying,

"Wow sis! You are really good at...."

"YOU...!!!"

Levi shouted at a surprise.

Behind was Elsa, holding high the gulf stick in her hands!

"Back off you thief..!!!"

Saying this she hit Levi's head with the stick.

Levi fainted.
