Broken Family

It was my last day of exam. I will never forget that day. There was a farewell party in the afternoon and all students and teachers were happy at the party. Afer party, I went back home happily. No sooner did I open the door then I heard my mom shouting at my dad.

     And mom was crying and yelling that she would not forgive him. Mom told dad to get out of this house. Dad said, "This's my house. I can't get out of this house. And I will take her to this house." Dad shouted angrily. "If you don't, fine, I'll go away from this house. Lets divorce." mom said furiously. Then mom walked quickly into her room.

DIVORCE? Why? Could it be mom know about dad and that woman? It can't be possible . Mom and dad were okay in this morning. But now, what happened......

With panic, I quickly followed my mom.

      In her room, mom was putting clothes, money and accessories into the suitcase. She was crying silently.

When i entered the room, she wiped her tears and smiled at me. She said to me that they would divorce and she gonna move into another town tomorrow.

    With a sad voice, Mom said , " Your father has been cheating on me for nearly five months. I also knew that he was changing. But I have nothing to prove about it before. But last month, i found their couple photo and the calls on his phone. I tried to stop him but he wasn't. Divorce is much better now"

Last month? So mom had been covered that matter for the whole month. Mom tried her best to maintain this family. But she said about divorce, that means...

   Without hesitation, I told mom that I will come with her too. Mom said not to do like that for my future. I was crying hardly because i knew my mother's affection. I said, " Mom, what're you thinking of? I don't care about these luxuary. I don't want to stay in the same house with that stepmother. I need my mom who loves me. So please don't say like that, mom. I also have the right to choose and my choice is to follow mom." Mom was smiling, but she knew that it was a forced smile, and I knew that,too.

Later Jonh entered the room and hugged mom tightly. With a loud cry, Jonh told us not to leave him alone. He wanted to come with us,too. Dad might get hurt because three of us would go out of his life. But no matter how sad he was, that was his choice. Even though I was sad, I wished him to stay with that woman happily in this empty silent big house. I wanted to let him know the life without a good loving housewife, a daughter and a son who lived in the same house with him for many years.

After we had done collecting the things, we get out of the room. Dad ordered me and Jonh not to leave. It was not telling nor begging. He was ordering us with a cold, angry voice. In a flash, dad reached out his had to slap mom but I stopped dad quickly and pushed him backwards. Without saying a word, the three of us opened the door and started leaving this house, house where my beautiful family once belonged.
