He doesn't want to Kill them so he just uses his Demon Lord's Haki since Using True Dragon Spirit Haki or even a little bit of his Divinity Will kill Humans in an instant.

After the general heard that it was not their army he imidiatly ordered all of the troops to be ready for Battle.
