Sundanese kingdom located in the western portion of the island of Java.

The capital of the Sunda Kingdom moved several times during its history, shifting between the Galuh (Kawali) area in the east and Pakuan Pajajaran in the west.

The Sunda Kingdom reached its peak during the reign of King Sri Baduga Maharaja, whose reign is traditionally remembered as an age of peace and prosperity among Sundanese people.

The kingdom's inhabitants were primarily the eponymous ethnic Sundanese, while the majority religion was Hinduism.

The name Sunda derives from the Sanskrit prefix su- which means "goodness" or "possessing good quality". The example is suvarna (lit:"good color") used to describe gold.

The term Sunda also means bright, light, purity, cleanness and white.

And one of that story is about King Munding Wangi (6th King Siliwangi). Maybe many people are new to and heard the name Prabu Munding Wangi. It should be noted that Prabu Munding Wangi is the father of the famous King Kian Santang. It was Prabu Munding Wang who ended the Pajajaran kingdom. Then Prabu Munding Wangi issued a very famous will, namely Uga Wangsit Siliwangi. The disappearance of the Pajajaran kingdom occurred after Prabu Munding Wangi handed over the entire Pajajaran kingdom including his wife, people and 4 famous patihs namely Sanghyang Hawu, Sanghyang Konang Hapa, Batara Nanggana, and Batara Cengkar Buana to Prabu Geusan Ulun, King Sumedang Larang. Since then the name of the kingdom became the Kingdom of Galeuh Pakuan Pajajaran and later became the Kingdom of Sumedang Larang.

At that time the kingdom of Gerbah Labuan was led by a king and priest named Prabu Batara Anggara. Prabu Batara Anggara only had one child, namely Prince Munding Wangi. At the time of his death, Prabu Batara Anggara ordered his Patih who was still his own younger brother, Patih Gerbah Menak, in front of the entire royal family. When Prabu Batara Anggara died, the kingdom of Gerbah Labuan was inherited and empowered to his only son, Prince Munding Wangi.

Trust, stay trust. It is human nature that is always shrouded by greed. Apparently Patih Gerbah Menak was also tempted to dominate the Gerbah Menak kingdom. The trick is to remove Prince Munding Wangi from power. Because he was still his own nephew, Patih Gerbah Menak did not kill Prince Munding Wangi but with a very subtle trick.

The trick is to give wrong information, namely to become King, Prince Munding Wangi must perform a ritual event, namely bathing in 100 kinds of spices. It was said by Patih Gerbah Menak that this ritual was carried out so that Prince Munding might become a powerful king and be considered as a messenger of the gods. Because he was still a child, Prince Munding Wangi agreed with what his uncle had said. Then the ritual of bathing in the pool water which has been filled with 1000 kinds of spices at exactly 12 full moon night.

What happened ? How surprised Prince Munding Wangi saw his whole body turning black like a black person after he finished bathing. Everyone watching was shocked and confused by what had happened. Because of his jet black body, Prince Munding Wangi felt embarrassed and didn't want to leave his room. This was used by Patih Gerbah Menak to control the kingdom of Gerbah Labuan. Over time, Prince Munding Wangi became a loner. Sometimes his mind is confused and acts like a madman.

Someday, He get a wishpers for go hunting alone into forest. One day, nothing happen. Second day, almost the same. Until a month later, his news was lost inside the forest.

Without realizing it, time goes on for up to 10 years. But again Sanghyang Wenang had other plans for the fate of Prince Munding Wangi. When the adult Prince Munding Wangi fell asleep in his simple saung, Prince Munding Wangi dreamed that an old man like a sage visited him so that he would be patient and steadfast in living life. Believe in yourself, believe in Sanghyang Tunggal and always remember the trust/advice of parents. Then Patih Munding Wangi was ordered to go east. So surprised Prince Munding Wangi when he woke up from his sleep. Believing not believing his dream, Prince Munding Wangi decided to follow his dream.
