“Aren’t your birthday is around the corner?”
“Y-yeah… I guess we’re turning eighteen.”
Early in the morning, Reo asked them about their birthday if they will be having a big party but, Kai insisted on it. It will be a small party for his bros only and it would be a pajama party since the twins’ father will not be able to go back to Japan because of his work. Reo clapped his hands as he heard that their mom will cook gyoza for them. It stated that Reo loves gyoza made by the twins’ mom and he’s happy for it.
In the middle of their conversation, Rin entered their classroom with notes on his hand while pushing his glasses on his other hand. He didn’t even greet his friends and went to his seat with a serious face. Reo approached him and patted his shoulder.
“Isn’t it too early to study for our first periodical exam?” Rin stopped reading his notes and put it on his desk, looking straight at Reo with a smirk on his face.
“We will be having a test in history, haven’t you hear our teacher last Friday?” Reo was confused, looking at Rin and even slightly tilting his head. Then, his eyes suddenly widened and his mouth is getting bigger and bigger that a fly can get inside in his mouth.
“What?!” Taki went to them with a soft chuckle.
“Hey, don’t forget our bro tradition.” He said.
“The one who got the lowest score will be going to treat food.” Taki and Rin said in unison and it made Reo deeply sighed. Guess, he will be going to treat them and he started to count his money in his pocket. But then, he realized something.
“Hah! No need for me to count this damn money. Kai will be going to be the lowest anyways.” Reo confidently said.
“Are you sure about that, Reo?”
“What do you mean?”
“I will be excusing myself for a basketball practice starting today,” Kai replied with a grin.
It made Reo frustrate. He doesn’t want to treat those monster eaters, especially for Rin, always ordering an extra-large bowl of ramen thrice. He then swiftly snatched Rin’s notes and run around the classroom.
“Hey, give me back my notes!” Rin screamed and chased him.
Reo was about to go out of the classroom but then, he bumped with someone and it made his classmate fall. It is no other than Kurisu Hanazono. She winced in pain while cupping her head. Kurisu gave a death glare at Reo and stood up.
“Watch where you going, no-good Chiba!”
“What? It’s not my fault that you’re short.” He smirked. Kurisu clenched her hand into a fist and suddenly stomped her small foot to his and left him while flinching.
“Ouch! That’s hurt so much, Hanazono-san! It’s like you just drop one sack of fats on your foot!”
“You’re exaggerating, no-good Chiba! Hurry up and start reading those notes or you will be the lowest again! Hahaha! It will be embarrassing! Wait. No need for you to be embarrassed since you’re the veteran of being a shameless person.”
“Shut up! You will be going to kneel when I get a higher score than you! Mark my words!”
“No need to expect because it will never gonna happened!”
“You… You damn woman!

That’s a piece of bad news. Their argument went too long that the bell rang, signaling its school hours. Reo didn’t study and he only scanned it but, they are too much information that he cannot gather for five minutes. Their history teacher came to their classroom and started to distribute the test questionnaires. Until the last paper was passed by Reo and everyone started to write their answers.
At the beginning of the test, Reo is very unlucky to take this. If only he is Kai’s place, then he would be safe from his friends and his grades. He doesn’t even know the answers that he just randomly writes suitable answers to the questions.
Sendo High School is the home for the intelligent students but, he doesn’t even know until now that how did he pass on the entrance exam. It was not on his plan to take an exam because he already knew that he’s not that intelligent. But, one thing in his mind is that his four friends would take it so, he joined them and unexpectedly, got passed. It wasn’t that easy but, he just barely passed the exam.
“Fifteen minutes left.” Their teacher declared.
Out of 50 questions, he only answered 10 and he’s at the state of panic. He’s wondering what will happen to him. If he got a low score, the teacher will be disappointed at him and he will be taking a supplementary education every Saturday. It would be embarrassing for him also, Kurisu will going to tease him like forever.
Suddenly, his gaze landed on Rin who is really focused on answering the test. He may be his close friend but, Reo is totally afraid of him when it comes to academics. This guy is a competitive one that he doesn’t want someone to copy his answers. No cheaters are allowed or you will be cursed forever by his deep stares. He tried but he knew he will be going to regret it. He called Rin who’s the seat is beside him.
“Psst. Psst. Rin.” He whispered. How many times he called Rin, he doesn’t reply and didn’t even look at him. How poor Reo Chiba is. He is really a No-good.
He then poked Rin for the attention. It was really ticklish that Rin jumped and his eyes were on Reo without moving his head.
“What?” He softly replied. Reo pointed out his test paper and suddenly gave him a please look. Rin chuckled and began to open his left arm to make Reo copy it. It made Reo shocked in seconds that Rin agreed to copy his answers. Rin is really an angel after all. Reo began to flinch as he gave a look on Rin’s paper.
“W-what the-” He cannot read his answer and it was confirmed that Rin has a bad handwritten. Reo felt frustrated again. His answers are so vague to see but, he doesn’t have a choice but to copy. He copied it but he wasn’t sure. If only he studied then copy Rin’s answer, it would be easier for him to cheat. He doesn’t have time to complain about his handwriting but to focus on his answers. He wrote the answers in a fast pace that he doesn’t have any idea what is happening around him. His history teacher is behind them, looking at Reo, doing some secret business. His heart began to bounce when he heard his teacher cleared his throat. He slowly looked at him and gave him a weak laugh.
Rin is truly an angel… angel in disguise.
He knew their teacher is roaming around but he let Reo copy his answers. He looked at Reo’s reaction and began to smirk.
“What is the meaning of this, Reo Chiba?”
“Uhhh…”
“Meet me at the faculty room before lunch break.” He announced as he gets Reo’s test paper and changed a new one.
TIMESKIP
On the next day, the results are in and expectedly, Rin is the highest and he got a perfect score. Reo rolled his eyes as he saw Rin’s score. He is the lowest and out of fifty, he only got ten. He sighed and stared at Rin.
“What are you staring at, dummy?” He questioned with a smirk on his face.
“You. Are. Really.Mean.”
