Chapter 1: Background

Jax's Background

Before I start talking about how I met my mate, I wanted to talk a little about my background. I am 20 years old, I have blonde hair and weird *** eyes,my left eye is a light teal blue and my right eye is green.

I live with my father (David) and step-mother ( Esther). My real mom had died giving birth to me, I would've had older siblings but mom was more weak and was prone to illness. However, I do have a stepsister named Lilith and is 16 years old.

My family and I belong to the Crystal Moon Pack. Our pack has about 30 member to a pack house. The Crystal Moon Pack has a total of 7 pack houses that are shaped like big mansions. Each pack has an Alpha and a Luna, the rest of the pack are known as betas. Alphas run within a bloodline and is given to one male inheritor to be the nest leader and whoever becomes his mate also become the luna.

In this supernatural world, I am what they call a tri-breed. It is supposed to be taboo for creatures to crossbreed meaning you have to a mate that is in your species. But the world is constantly changing, Many people started to have mates outside their own species and it became the new norm.

The doctors exclaimed that it was a miracle that I was even born. No matter what they say about my birth being a fucking "miracle" it hasn't felt like it. Before David met Esther, he was different. He was kind and always reassure me that I was never alone and that he would always be there for me when I fall.

My father acts as if I am a burden now. I have scars on my back from when he hits me with a belt or anything he can find thats near him. Esther isn't to blame for his behavior now but her daughter, lilith. She is very cunning and devious, whatever she wants she gets because of my dad. Nobody knows about how my dad hits me, to everyone else of the Crystal Moon Pack we look like the "perfect family".

Being a tri-breed was extremely rare because they usually don't have a high survival rate due to our spirits. So again it was a miracle that I was even born even with a weak mother. I am a tri-breed of a wolf, dragon, and a wizard. So far there is only known to be 7 tri-breeds including me. Usually we are hunted and sold to the highest bidder and used for experiments.

We are regular human being but our spirits are like our inner split personality and enable us to shapeshift or if you are a witch, fairy, sirens and etc

you are given powers. In my case I have 3 consciences a wolf named Blake, when ever he takes control of my body my eyes turns a grey color. There is a dragon named Brax and whenever he takes over my eyes turn a teal with a vertical pupil's similar to snake. The wizard is known as Alexander but I call him Alex. When I use magic, my eyes glow a bright green. I usually hear him casting a spell in my mind so I don't have to speak those long *** spells and difficult pronunciation.

When I said that tri-breeds survival rates completely depend on their spirits I meant that they had to get along. But when they can't get along when you are born, it affects your mind to the point where you go brain dead and soon your heart stops beating and you die. There hasn't been a survivor of a person with 4 or more spirits within them....so the most has been 3, aka tri-breed, aka me.
