Episode 3

Jack bought his black Chevrolet. He picked up Ryan and Lucy on his way. Ryan and Jack sat in the front seat while Lucy sat at the back. I joined Lucy in the back seat. Lucy was same height as me, a very cute girl. I had gotten into the car and I saw Ryan driving, I thought it was better to put the seatbelts first though.

Jack said, “Wow Maple, I thought you wouldn’t make it.”

“It was quite a surprise for me too Jack.” I replied.

“Well you won’t lose that shock until the end.” Jack said, “Next stop is Alison’s house. C’mon Ryan, step on it.”

Ryan was glad to hear it, and raised the speed. As we were driving I got real close the Lucy, I told her everything about myself in my old school, and she also didn’t hesitate to do the same. Ryan and Jack were pretty close from what I had observed, but it actually didn’t turn out the way I thought.

The journey to Alison’s house was a long and enjoyable. As I said before I don’t actually like travelling, but this time it was fun. I got to know who were attending the party. Lucy said that they’d be spending most their time together in school and out of the school too.

We reached Alison’s house. She was at her doorsteps waiting for us. She stepped in the car, she was surprised to see me in the car but she welcomed me a smiling face. That was welcoming enough for me. It didn’t take too long to reach the party place. I could see youngsters of my age inside the restaurant. We entered the restaurant, Lucy was greeted with huge hugs from her friends, I didn’t know many people here, and so I went to the bar counter and ordered myself a coke.

I could notice girls who were always with boys, and one of the girls was actually pretty funny for me. I noticed that whenever she talked to Ryan, either he’d make a complete fool of her or completely ignore her. It was fun watching her acting like that. Her name was literally sweet, Cherry. She was cute and sweet as cherry but not from inside though.

Lucy dropped me back home, I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. My mom asked me what had happened, I said that I would explain later and went to take a quick shower and came back to my mom. I slept on her lap explaining what happened tonight, and before I realised I was asleep.

I woke up by the song playing in the radio, my mom was cooking. I wished her morning and went upstairs to get ready for school. It was late and I had to skip my breakfast but I was on time for the class though.

I talked with everyone and got to know a few things about them. School finished faster than my 1st day. I got back home, got a note from my mom that she had to go for a business trip and would not be back for a month. I was both happy and disappointed.

The rest of the days flied so fast that it was already mid-term. It is not a surprise because I joined to the school very late and actually it was not more than two months that we transfer here. But my mom had to extend her working time and so wouldn’t be back for next 6 months. I called her every day, she asked me everything, and I would not leave any detail.

The mid-term exam was finally over and I ranked 2nd, after Ryan. It was obvious for Ryan to top because all of my friends and teachers had a great chance of hope on him.

Soon enough it was time was cultural. Everyone had their programmes planned. I had a lot of fun with everyone. I got to know few things about my friends and some other people related to our friends. The most interesting thing that I did during these days was actually very funny when I remember it… I was a in a dance group with other three members, one of them was Lucy. After the cultural we were informed that we would be having another main exam, and we got to know that our science question papers would be inside the teacher’s locker. When we finished our practice came back to class we saw no one around and hence we decided to break the locker and take out the question paper and we actually did it… it was really a historical pace and we got the same question paper for our exams too!

Until the cultural I got to know that Cherry, the cute girl, was really close to Ryan before the year I came… and that explained her behaviour towards him… I got to know that Jack was also a transferred student like me; Ryan and Alison were close friends, Alison and Lucy were also close… Ryan and Jack were close to each other but they both didn’t like each other much.

After the cultural Lucy gave me big news about Jack having a crush on Alison. She said that she herself and Ryan are trying to help jack to accomplish the goal. She asked me help her with this case. Later we tried to make each other to get a little close but that never worked out. Jack was too nervous to talk to talk to Alison and Alison was someone who had already pictured her prince charming in her mind…

I, Ryan and Lucy together planned what we had to do for Jack. We thought that the best way to get close to Alison was through letter. We decided that we would write a letter and kept in her bag and make it a letter from an anonymous, and after when it was the right time we decided to tell Alison who it was.

Lucy wrote the first letter directed by me, she kept the letter in a yellow box with a chocolate and a bracelet. We kept it in her bag without her knowledge. When she saw the letter she at once came to us and asked if it was done by us, we said no… then we sat together and read the letter…

It was interesting to read the same letter which was written by us with Alison. After a few days we planned to write another letter but this time we thought we would take a print out of it. Holidays were near, so we decided that we’d give the letter after holidays.

Alison had a wish to hug a boy; she even had dreams about a boy. She said she couldn’t remember the boy’s face but she did have many dreams. So I and Lucy decided to make Jack hug Alison. So on the last day of the school after P.T everyone went to the classroom, we thought it would be the perfect time we asked Ryan to bring Jack to the P.T room and we three girls went inside the room. Alison and Jack were shocked, the other three people in room (i.e., us) were shouting telling them to hug, but both didn’t move an inch. I asked Jack to make the move, he showed me his hands which were seriously shacking at last we didn’t have any other way, so I pushed Alison on Jack.

What we wanted didn’t actually happen… and the holidays started… and with the holidays another story also started… everything after the holidays was a real unexpected situations… everything…
