Jungkook ran as fast as he could, arms pumping and long legs bounding across the yard in great strides.
Suddenly arms wrapped themselves around him, and he found himself tackled onto the ground atop a pile of fallen leaves.
Jungkook giggled as Taehyung pinned him to the ground, his body hovering over him.
The midday sun shined around Taehyung's head like a halo and Jungkook was in awe of how handsome his best friend was.
He stopped laughing, and his face became serious as he gazed up at his friend.
Taehyung, who had been laughing as well, stared at Jungkook with concern after seeing the other boy's somber expression.

Do you think we'll always be friends?
Taehyung gave him a look of disbelief.

What kind of question is that?
Taehyung
We'll be friends forever and ever.

What if one of us is an omega and the other is an alpha?

Taehyung shook his head, shaggy hair falling into his eyes.
Jungkook raised a pinky in his direction. Taehyung locked his pinky with Jungkook's and then they pressed their thumbs together to seal the promise.
Jungkook smiled brightly at Taehyung and received an equally dazzling smile from Taehyung in return.
