Jimin and Yoongi take a seat in the chairs located in front of the desk while Mr. Chang takes his place in the one behind it.
The man pulls out some documents for Jimin to sign.
Mr. Chang
Alright. I need your signature here, here and here.
Jimin signs the papers and then Mr. Chang signs too making Yoongi's adoption official.
Mr. Chang
Well, congratulations.
Mr. Chang
You're now the proud owner of a hybrid.
Jimin smiles tightly. While he doesn't like the title of owner, he's happy that he now has a companion.
The man's chair creaks as he leans back in it. He clasps his hands together.
Mr. Chang
I must state that as per the policy of the Hybrid Adoption Center, if you're unsatisfied with your hybrid you can bring him back no matter how much time has passed.
Mr. Chang
You'll be asked to relinquish your ownership, and we'll take him back, no questions asked.
Jimin looks over at Yoongi who is staring at the floor.
Jimin
That won't be necessary, Mr. Chang.
Mr. Chang
No one plans for these types of things to happen, but it does happen.
Mr. Chang
I'm just saying that if a problem should arise, you have a way out.
Jimin
And like I said, that won't be necessary.
The man smiles and puts his hands up in defeat.
Mr. Chang
Okay. Well, here is your copy of the adoption papers and a manual on hybrid care.
He hands Jimin the papers along with a book titled How to Care for Your Hybrid. He then looks at Yoongi.
Mr. Chang
Goodbye, Yoongi.
Mr. Chang
Have fun at your new forever home.
He says it in a mocking tone and Jimin doesn't like it.
Jimin rises from his chair and Yoongi mirrors the action. Jimin storms out of the office and Yoongi trudges behind him.
