The Smoke

Have you ever smelled something so foul that it makes your nose scrunch up and make you want to gag? I'm sure a lot of you have, but you could probably escape from that smell, unlike me. Like I've said before, I only have a break from all the suffering I face when an Omega comes. They have sweet and memorable smells, something you wouldn't want to forget. Unlike the smoke, with that horrible smell that I just hate. Most wolf's love the smell of it, from how they describe it, you would think that there was nothing better in the world. I bet if someone made a smoke scented perfume or cologne they would fly off the shelf. They would become a instant billionaire, dang, that's a good idea! I should make that if I ever escape from this place.

I hear an assortment of steps coming from the hallway. ****, I haven't put the last dish on a platter for them. There going to kill me.

"Slut, you better be done! Why do I still hear things going on in the kitchen?!" A random wolf yells from the dining room.

I stop, frozen in place. Fear makes every bone in my body shut down, as if a switch flicked to turn me off.

~Kchk~

The kitchen door opens, and I collapse to the floor. Who would've thought, though I'm the oldest child, I sink in submission for my youngest sibling. Who only happens to three, but they already hate me.

"Come back here, Theo. You don't want to see the slut get punished!" says my oldest sibling who just walked in.

"But Caicus, I want to slap him too!" Theo says playfully.

"Oh, then make sure you slap him hard," Caicus looks at me knowing that it's killing me to see Theo say this. I took care of him until he was one, I grew too close to him.

~Thud~

I don't know how a toddler can pack such a powerful slap that it sends me crashing into the oven door.

~Krshh~

Glass is now surrounding me, warm liquid dripping out of my skin. Then I see something that makes my heart stop. Theo was holding his hand to his right cheek with tears on his eyes.

"Uuwah, it hurts! Make it stop!" He then starts bawling. I try to go comfort him when I feel a powerful blow to my ribcage. I hear a few cracks, but before I can even check if blood was coming through my shirt I feel my backside hit something.

The wall, I hit that.

~Thud~

"I... ca-... n't brea-... the!" is all I can make out in between my wheezes.

I should probably sit up, it may help air circulation, but I can't. It feels like my whole body is broken, like Caicus somehow managed to break them all. One kick, just one, and this is the aftereffect.

I guess it was real funny to think that I could escape. A pathetic and weak Omega, can't even handle a three year olds slap thought they could escape.

"Ha... Hahaha..." I just can't help laughing, it's so funny I thought that.

"What are you laughing at?!" Caicus stops soothing Theo and looks over at me. That's when our eyes meet, and then he can't breathe as well.

Instead of looking into his eyes and showing hatred, I showed admiration and love. I was so proud that he grew up and became this strong, I knew he would live a happy life.

I could see in his eyes that he was so confused, why would I have those feelings for him? He tortured me from 10 till now. But I know it wasn't how he used to act, he used to love me too. But one test, when I wasn't even of age to get it done, changed it all.

Darkness clouds around me when I hear other voices, all wanting to know one thing. What happened? But I block all the noises out when I see Caicus get up, Theo still in his arms. He walks over to me and gives me a hug, I feel something hot and wet dripping on my clothes.

"I'm sorry, I love you too," that's all he can make out between the sobs.

"Its okay, and I'm sorry too. If I had been strong enough then you wouldn't have been next in line, or rejected..." That's when I see it, a girl run over and hug Caicus from behind.

"I just thought if you hurt your own brother, then how would you treat me and our kids," this girl, its Lulu, his mate.

Caicus places me down softly and turns around. He grabs Lulu and pulls her down to give her a hug, the biggest smile on his face. That happy life, just started, all that I could ask for was granted. I just wanted to see my siblings happy one last time.

I smell smoke coming from somehwere, but the darkness finally closes in on me. I don't know where the smoke is coming from but I know I feel a small body sit on my chest and hug my neck tightly, and sniff me? As if they don't like the smell either.

...

I feel two tiny bodies on me, someone with warm hands is holding one of mine. There's something soft under me and on top of me, what are they? I then sniff the air to try to make out where I am. A strong wave of antiseptics hit me, doctors office? Hospital?

"Cakey, he sniffed!" Thena tells Caicus excitedly. She calls him 'Cakey' because it's too hard to pronounce his real name.

The warm hand drops mine and places his hand right above my nose. "Do it again!" there's hope in his voice, wierd...

I still sniff the air though, I think that's what he meant. Someone grabs me, I believe Caicus, and hugs me. They then push up my torso and sit behind me. The two tiny bodies then get up and sit on my lap instead of my leg.They both hug one of my sides tightly, then something warm and thick is on my body.

"Ahh!" I cry out in pain, my eyes finally open and all I see is white. Where am I?

Everyone hugging me let go and got away from me, the one behind me even got up so quickly I fell to the floor.

The ground wasn't soft like what I was laying on or what was on top of me, it was hard. It was cold and easily breakable. I would know, all the pieces from the floor went through my back. Mix that with getting your back thrown to a wall, it would hurt, like hell.

An earth shattering scream escaped my mouth, "Aaahhhhhh!!!!!!" Everything went on hold for 30 seconds, except my screams still escaping my mouth. My eyes closed, no point in keeping them open when tears won't stop coming from them, clouding my vision.

~Slam~

That's all I can hear though my screams. Someone picks me up and places me on my stomach, blood was now coming from my back and stomach. The earth shattering screams didn't stop until they stabbed something into my arm to numb the pain.

"Hah... Hah..." I'm breathing heavily, the pain finally subsided, then I feel it again. "Ahhhhh!!!!!" The pain only went away for a couple of seconds, they could only stab something in my arm, hopeing it would help.

"****! We couldn't even treat his wounds before the pain came back!" A random female wolf says.

"What happened?!!" A male wolf questions my oldest and youngest siblings.

I can tell their too shocked that I could make a noise like that to explain. Who would've thought, a tiny Omega male, could scream so loudly that the whole forest stopped. A pack that rarely calls or communicates with us called to ask what happened.

Oh, what a funny thing to explain, I wouldn't be suprised if this would spread through all the packs. Next thing you would know, Alphas from other packs would be coming to check if everything was okay. Maybe even a higher up would come to see if this pack was running correctly.

I stopped, I stopped screaming, breathing even. If this were to spread I would be dead, my parents would kill me.

~Beeeeep~ ~Beeep~

Somethings going off, I don't know what though.

"He stopped, then why in bloody hell is his blood pressure going up?!" the male wolf roared at no one in particular.

"Just help me get the pieces out of his back!" the female wolf yelled while pulling out pieces of the shards sticking out of my back.

If they saw my face, they would think that I was dead. The only implication that I was alive was beeping that never stopped.

They finally flipped me over, they see all color and life has been drained from my face. The female wolf then turns around, the tweezers she used to take the smaller pieces out of my back snaps in half.

"First, you hurt him. Second, you reopened a wound. Third, you caused more wounds on top of the ones you already cause." she says way too calmly. "So, what did you say to him to make him look like this?!"

All three of them start to tremble, they have to explain what happened, but how can they do that if they don't understand it themselves?

"Stop... just let me bleed out," all attention then goes to me. "There going to kill me when word gets out that a scream came from this pack, anyway. I would rather die here then let them torture me till death."

The whole room goes silent, they all stopped breathing at the exact same time. Then I hear that annoying beeping again, this time though, it sounds more urgent.

~Beep~ ~Beep~ ~Bbbeeeep~ ~BEEP~

I look over and see it's coming from a big machine. Theres something flashing at the bottom of the screen. I think it says "Patient heartbeat getting to low"

That's when darkness takes over and the last thing I hear is someone yelling, "Their flat lining!"
