3 Best Friends

Sophia's POV:

I am currently walking towards the usual place I and my friends often spend our time to before we go to our school. The school we're going to is near our subdivision anyway so it won't hurt if we will use our spare time in dilly-dallying.

My family is happy and always support each other. My family is kind and my brother-in-law is also treating me as if I'm his real little sister. I was spoiled by my family because all of their attentions were given to me when I was young and they gave me everything I wanted. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I really like watching anime and cartoons or reading different types of manga (comics originated in Japan) during my free time. Because of that, I became childish despite my real age.

I have two best friends whom I treat like my real sisters. They are Elaine and Janna. We have different personalities but we are able to understand each other somehow. The three of us were neighbors ever since we were young since our parents are also best friends.

They are also my destined classmates since we're in elementary. Classmates in Dreamland Elementary School, and classmates up until now in Glistening High, one of the most prestigious schools in our city. We're going to school, eating, studying, and going home together.

8:00 is our class time and we love to spend our spare time at the oldest tree near our neighborhood before we go to our class. We like to chat, and listening to music while sitting under the tall tree together. What's more, the view is also nice and relaxing which makes us feel comfortable whenever we're staying there.

The three of us belong to Section 1, also known as the "Star Section". Only those students with highest grades among the other students are allowed to be in the Section 1. Our school observes hierarchy within the academic ranking and the class sections were based on students' grades. Section 1, for the highest and Section 10, for the lowest.

Well, I am not like my two best friends. If Elaine has a distant personality and Janna is too timid, I, on the other hand, loves to interact with other people. I feel happy whenever I make new friends. I don't have any preferences in making friends and as long as they are willing to talk to me, I will happily become their friend. You know, I really hate having enemies that's why I befriend everyone. I also believe in the saying "Don't wait for people to be friendly, show them how". I am a Grade 10 student starting today and I can feel that days really pass by fastly. Anyhow, "Time goes by" is what they say and we can't do anything about it.

I didn't notice that I am already near to the usual place we're hanging out at. I can clearly see Elaine and Janna waving their hands at me. I ran towards them immediately to chat about how I am looking forward to our first day of high school today.
