Chapter 1

    Referring to this body’s memories, the previous Seon Yeon lives in poverty. Her apartment is old and rundown. She ran away from home because she did not want to become a doctor. I checked her bank account and there were 50,000 won saved up. And she is transferring to a new college to learn about marketing and finance. This is good, with 10,000 won saved up I can live here for a while until I can afford a better apartment. I’m 20, with no work experience… I’ll need to get a job that requires no work experience. Thankfully, there was a library nearby and she could go there to use the internet.

    I arrived at the library. It’s not that big compared to my last life’s house but it’s a lot bigger than where I live now. I walked in and sat down at a computer. I wrote down a list of stores that were hiring that required no work experience. There were only two stores that paid a decent amount and was nearby. A cafe that was two blocks from my college and a small convenience store that was three blocks away from my house.

    After doing that, I surfed the internet. And I discovered that I could earn a small amount of money if I help people do small tasks. “This is convenient!” I thought to myself. I decided to come to the library every day and do small freelance tasks to earn more money. This is great! I can get out of that dump quicker than I thought. I skipped home happily.

    I hummed a melody that my grandmother used to sing to me as I cleaned my apartment. After an hour, I finished. It looked a lot nicer than before. It was already pretty late when I was done. And I did not eat dinner yet. So I jogged to the convenience store that was three blocks away and brought some instant noodles. “Let’s see….” I brought five. “I’ll eat one each day to save money! I won’t need to buy food for five days.” I walked home thinking of my time schedule. If I get both jobs, I can get out of that dump even faster.

    I will have school from 6 in the morning to 9 in the morning. I will grab an apple from the cafeteria and head out to the cafe. The apples at my school cafeteria are free! Then I can do a 3-hour shift and return to school until 4 PM. After that, I will go to the library to do my work or my freelancer jobs until 6 PM. Then at 6:30 PM, I will begin my night shift at the convenience store. Then I will return home at 11 PM. Eat, study, shower, sleep and then repeat this.

    “This is a great idea!” I thought to myself. I undress and walked into my bathroom. I was about to take a shower and I heard my phone vibrate and ring in my bedroom.
