The Kingdom of lawn

At NRS Hospital night shift employee room

After the long night shift, now I can go home and enjoy my day off.

(My name is Emily Borison, I’m a surgeon for a year and a half in NRS hospital, the biggest hospital in the kingdom of lawn. Being a surgeon is what I always dreamed about since I was 5. Since then everything I do and learn is for the purpose to become a doctor. I devoted all my time in studying, researching, experimenting in this field. Finally, here I am, dream come true.)

While I’m preparing my bag, Jan, my colleague and friend enter the room with tired eyes and give a big yawn.

Jan “what a long surgery…”

“How was the surgery?”

Jan “Since our senior, Andrew was the one who performed, the surgery went well. But the patient lost too much blood so we have to keep him in the ICU room to follow up his condition”

“Emmm, I’m leaving the first bye!”

I take my bag and go to the car park. I suddenly remember I need to take some documents from the office to do research. So I go back to the main building take the elevator to the 7th floor where the surgeon's office is.

20th……19th………18th………I’m waiting soooooo impatiently in front of the elevator on ground floor. Suddenly there is a familiar voice talking to me

“Aren’t today is your day off? How come you’re still here?”

I know the owner of this soft and gentle voice, my surgeon senior. The handsome face with blond hair and blue eyes. He is so tall, probably over 180cm, much taller than me I’m only about his shoulder while standing next to him.

His name is Andrew something, no one knows his surname which causes a lot of rumors about him. Some said that he is the son of one of our hospital board directors, some said he is a son of a wealthy business family, some even said he is a son of a minister of health. I’ve got no idea which one is true but one thing I am sure of one thing that his family is not ordinary. Another rumor about him is: is he single? I also wonder too hehe^^…….

“I’m leaving soon, just need to grasp something from my desk first” I reply

Andrew “You should give yourself a proper break, don’t bring work home”

“Those are my hobby, senior. I enjoy doing it”

He gives me a beautiful smile “what a strange hobby…”

(Ding!)

We both get into the elevator, I press 7th floor and ask him

“Which floor are you going to?”

Eric “28th floor please, thank you”

28th?! That is the director's office. What kind of business he has with the director? I stare at him unintentionally which cause him to wonder

Andrew “Why are you staring at me with puzzle eyes?”

“Nothing”

While he’s about to say something more (Ding) the elevator arrives 7th floor.
