JUNGKOOK

Another chapter of my life opened. I was going to start high school. Today was the inauguration ceremony and all the hyungs were getting ready to come too. It felt kinda strange to be the only one who was of underage. I checked my new appearance in the yellow and black uniform one last time before I headed downstairs to our dorm living room. Rapmon hyung and Suga hyung was already dressed and was talking to a familiar tall handsome man.

"Daaad?!" I ran towards my father and hugged him. I knew my parents were coming but I didn't know they were coming to the dorm. "Hey Golden Maknae" , my father hugged me back chuckling. I blushed slightly. The name was given to me by Rapmon hyung only a few weeks ago during one of our live logs. He said he came up with that nickname since I was good at everything.

" Ahh appa don't call me by that name. It feels ticklish hearing it come from you." I pouted still hugging my father. "But it's a cool name and people will be calling you by that in the future." I ignored his comment. "Where's Mum?", I asked him looking around. "Ah she will meet us at school. She wasn't done preparing your favourite dishes by the time I left so she said that she'll meet us there." I nodded understanding. My mum was an amazing cook. She could cook any dish and it would taste heavenly. My brother and I would always fight over our portions back when I was home.

My dad and I drove separately from the hyungs as we didn't want to get late. We met my mum at the school entrance. She was dressed in a black and yellow top to match my outfit. She was pretty as always. I was talking with my parents when I saw the hyungs coming. V hyung and Jimin hyung smiled and waved at me. I waved back smiling ear to ear. V hyung left the rest of the hyungs and came running towards me. He greeted my parents before putting his hand around me playfully.

All of us entered into the school auditorium where the ceremony was to be held. I bid them goodbye before parting with them to sit with the rest of the students.

The next few weeks were pretty hectic. I found it hard to balance my school work with all the training we had. But all the hyungs helped me. Rapmon hyung who was once a one percent student in the country helped me with my homework. Jin hyung and Suga hyung made delicious snacks for me to eat while studying. Jhope hyung helped me with my dancing practices. V hyung and Jimin hyung helped me reduce my stress but doing silly things around me. All their support helped me get through and I really wouldn't ask for more.

With our popularity growing our schedule became more and more packed. We had fansign meetings and new shows were requesting us to perform. Even though I was a pretty confident performer on stage it was the opposite for me when it came to fansign meetings. I felt nervous and shy to be surrounded by cameras and to hear people yelling out my name.But V hyung always came to my rescue. He being the social butterfly he is knew exactly how to win the hearts of everyone around him. He would always sit next to me and play with my ear to make me less nervous with the crowd. With him being around I felt I could just be myself.

He absolutely loved giving hugs. I would often find him wrapped around like a Koala around someone when we held meetings at our dorm.

We continued filming Rookie king encouraged by all the compliments by our fans. We were supposed to film the eighth episode that day but we couldn't go outside because of the rain. So instead we had to film it inside our training hall.But that didn't stop us from having fun. We played a game called XMan and Suga hyung was the MC for the day.We got divided into two teams. Mon team consisting of me, V hyung and Rapmon hyung and hope team consisting of Jimin hyung, Jhope hyung and Jin hyung. The games began.

Our team was really having a victorious start. Ever since I was small I've always been a very competitive child.So as usual I was determined to make my team win today as well. The third game for the day was called the 'of course' game. Here each team member had to ask something from the opposing member to which the latter should answer by saying 'of course'. If you don't answer or say something else you would lose the game.

Jin hyung and I was the first to compete. And I easily won by questioning him about his handsomeness. I knew I wouldn't be getting my snacks for another week after this but I had to do it to win. Mentally making a note to myself to make it up to him I cheered as the next two competitors went to the center for the battle. V hyung went first.

"Yaaaa", he called out to J hope hyung disrespecting the latter since V hyung was younger than Jhope hyung.We all burst out laughing at his behaviour. V hyung continued his conversation."Hey you like me right?" Wait did he really ask that question? I asked a staff member just to double check what I had just heard. I simply couldn't believe my ears.Did he ask that because of the kiss they shared? Not only J hope hyung but all of us were taken by surprise with his words. But J hope hyung answered with a 'of course'. Next it was his turn to attack V hyung. " That day you enjoyed the kiss right? I could feel your lips vibrating like a mobile phone." "of course" , V hyung responded wanting to continue the game.

My mind was restless. Did he really enjoy that kiss? or was he saying that just to win the game? Well he did say it was his first kiss after all. My thoughts were disturbed when I heard J hope hyung's voice. I didn't realise I had missed V hyung's turn. "That day.... you.. You stuck out your tongue that time didn't you?" I couldn't believe what I had just heard. I stood still waiting for V hyung to deny what I had heard. I didn't notice that I was the only one not showing any reaction.

I felt less burdened when Jhope hyung and Suga hyung explained that it was just a joke and that there was no tongue involved. But that didn't stop my train of thoughts. I suddenly felt like someone had stolen my favourite snack from me. I didn't know what I was feeling. I was really confused cause I remember being excited when the kiss actually happened then why do I feel so strange now. I begged myself to concentrate on the games again.

In the next game I had to stop Jimin hyung from removing his socks while he carried me on his back. But at that moment my body didn't feel like moving at all I just wanted to go back to our dorm and lie down.I didn't even care if we lost right now. I just wanted to stop whatever I was feeling. I tried my best to not show the others my strange behaviour.

A week passed by after our filming of the episode. The busy schedules and loads of homework made me forget about my feelings. I returned back to my normal state. I hung with V hyung as always playing pranks on our hyungs and staying up at night playing video games. The two of filled Jin hyung's perfume bottle with water and couldn't stop laughing hearing him complain that the perfume had lost it's smell.

But I found myself spending more time with my roommate than usual. I seeked more attention from him. I loved to watch him do silly things and I loved the way his eyes shine when he smile. His constant habit of wetting his lips was very addicting to watch too.

To me he looked like a manga character. A bright, funny ,cute and handsome one. Wait what... I quickly turned my gaze away from him hoping that no one saw me. I didn't know why I suddenly felt this way towards hyung. Was I falling in love with him ? Ahh no. I mentally cursed myself for even thinking such a thing. Surely I wasn't into guys. Then why was I feeling attracted to V hyung. I was once again lost in thought.

With our popularity rising day by day we got a number of requests from various shows asking us to come perform. We wrote new songs and our practice sessions were lengthened. We gave our best at everything we did. All seven of us would stay past midnight practicing for the upcoming shows.

When we had a break V hyung and I would spend that time playing our favourite online racing game. I would take small glances at him while playing the game. I lost all of my concentration when I saw him slightly bite his lower lip while playing the game. And I don't know what came over me at that exact moment. I lost all self control.

I grabbed his hand suddenly and pulled him out of the training room into the deserted passage outside. I looked around making sure no one was there.

V hyung was slightly annoyed that I had made him lose the game. "Yaa Jungkookah what's wro-" I stopped him from finishing his sentence by smashing my lips into his.
