Immortality

May 28th 2022,

I still remember the day when that guy gave me the worst curse of my life, everything in my life after that point was pointless,The friends,memories,family I made all passed away at some point, Only I was the one who was there in all of these times and worst of all Everyone's memories of me get reset every 100 years so I can't even tell anyone that I am Immortal.

May 29th 2022,

Today was the best day of my life, I found a girl who reached out to me and when I refused because I didn't want anymore sorrow in my life, She told me "I am Immortal too, So can we be friends?" and when she told me this I was shocked and I was super happy to have a friend who would never leave me after so long, I immediately accepted her as my friend and we went to watch a movie. Never in my life I had thought I would watch a movie with someone as same as me, After that we went our own separate ways, She gave me her number and we made plans to meet every day from now on.

May 28th 2030,

8 years have passed since I first met Julie but whenever I meet her I never felt bored but Today when I went to meet her. I waited and waited but she never came and after a long time, I thought of going back thinking she had some plans but then someone arrivers there and hands me a note saying "Julie told me to give this to you" and I read it and it went "If you are reading this, then I am already dead. Sorry for telling a lie that I was also immortal, I just wanted to be your friend Please attend my funeral on May 29th and about how I knew you were Immortal, You will know it when you come to my funeral." These words broke me and I started crying for the first time in over 600 years. Her death made me so sad that I cannot sleep today, It's 12pm and I am still awake Even though I always go to bed at 8pm.

At the funeral,

After the funeral was complete I went near her coffin and then someone approached me and gave me another letter and said "It was from Julie" It read "On may 30th please go to XYZ coordinated and You will find a cave, Where you may find someone who will end your suffering". When I read this I thought to myself "I will no matter what go there and find the truth" and after that I went back to my house and slept for today.

May 30th 2030,

I get ready to go to the coordinates she gave me. I go there and find an cave exactly like she said, I go in there and find the same old man who gave me this immortality. I immediately ask him "Please take this back from me" and he replies "I may grant your wish but you are going to receive a really harsh punishment that will destroy you, Ending your Immortality.Do you accept it?".

I immediately agree to him as that's the only reason I live for now and he guides me through everything and then it was time for the ultimate punishment I had to face for this Immortality to be destroyed.

Now it was time for the Challenge I had to face for this Immortality to be destroyed.

I went ahead and then the room turned pitch black, I heard a voice "You will have to face your worst nightmare as the first stage of this challenge."

Suddenly, the room illuminated and I saw what seemed like Jason,Emily,Bill and Jennifer, My first 4 friends that I met after everyone in my life passed away. They repeatedly called my name again and again and asked me why did I leave them which I replied "I never left you, Please understand me." Suddenly, I heard someone , I turned around to see Julie. I rushed to her but it only seemed like she was getting further away. She told me "You have the courage, Jake, Face them!" she disappeared after saying this. The room turned pitch black again and it illuminated again and I saw my parents spending time with my old self. It made me cry as I know that this isn't reality and I would never get my parents back. Suddenly I heard Julie again "Who cries over such a small thing, Grow up, Jake. I believe in you.Just remember Jake I would never desert you. I am always with you in your heart. So don't give up."

Her words made me want to complete this challenge as soon as possible. I saw everyone of my friends in sequence. I felt sad for their death but Julie's words made me want to push myself further. I faced everyone of them without a single tear in my eyes. Then I heard another voice " You have now completed the first stage of this challenge and shall move on to the second stage where you will have to face Emotions and Pain felt by any normal human over 600 years."

Suddenly, Everything around me collapsed and what remained was just endless void and I felt my hands and legs as tied to something with chains but there was nothing it was all on the void. Suddenly,I saw someone who looked like me which I guessed was myself from a long time ago kicking a stone which went with enough force and pierced through a little kid's skull which made me feel guilty, then the scene shifted to my highschool life where some of my own friends Humiliated me in front of the whole class which made me feel embarassed and angry and at the same time regret the decisions I made in highschool , then the room looked like a void again and I started feeling burning sensations, super hot but I couldn't do anything as I was tied. Then I felt like my body been cut really deep and it made me feel like I lost a lot of blood. Pain by pain I felt every pain , A normal person feels in their life. It was hurting a lot but there was nothing I could do. I heard a voice "You have completed the second part of the challenge which only 2 people have done including you and you will now be freed from Immortality and have your memories taken."

I felt relieved to finally get to live like a normal person.

I woke up in what resembled like a bed to me at midnight, I got up and turned on the lights and looked at the mirror to see myself as a teenager and I thought to myself "all that must've been a dream" and went back to sleep.

Outside Jake's House,

???- "That's another person saved from Immortality: The Worst Curse, Julie."

"Yes,but I can't let anyone know I am Immortal".
