The Healing

The leaves outside the bar were dancing gracefully as the wind blew through the chilly night. It had been a long day for Trix, and she decided to take a break by heading over to her favorite bar - Linquer. It was known for its finest taste of liquor and cocktails, and it was always a great place to relax and unwind.

As Trix settled down on one of the stools at the bar, Raf, the bartender, greeted her with a grin. "Hey pretty lady! Alone again?" he teased.

Trix rolled her eyes. "Stop your nonsense joke, Raf. It ain't funny."

"Oh oh oh! What's up with that long face? I just want to see you smile. You're prettier when you smile." Raf said with a smirk.

Trix tried to force a smile. "Is that enough? Happy now?"

"That looks much better, sweetie. Want me to make your favorite cocktail now?" Raf offered.

"Yes please. Put some love in it, too," Trix said with a smile.

"I will! But you won't accept it. Will you?" Raf chuckled.

Trix laughed. "Hahaha! You bet!"

After about half an hour, Raf returned with Trix's cocktail in hand. "Pretty lady, your drink is ready," he said as he handed her the glass.

"Thanks, Raf!" Trix said with a smile.

"Enjoy!" Raf replied.

As Trix sipped on her cocktail, she felt the atmosphere and the drink suit her current mood perfectly. The Red Velvet Cake Martini Cocktail was the perfect combination of flavors, fulfilling her craving for something sweet and indulgent. She felt content and satisfied.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the bar, Arch, one of the regular customers, greeted Raf. "Good evening, sir!"

"Go for a Bloody Bull, sir?" Raf asked.

"Yes, please! Same old ways," Arch replied.

"And oh, can you give another order for that pretty lady out there?" Arch added, gesturing towards Trix.

"Oh, for Miss Trixxie?!" Raf asked.

"Yes. And please hand this note over with the drink to her," Arch said, handing Raf a small slip of paper.

"Will do, sir. Much appreciate it," Raf replied.

As Trix finished her cocktail and set the glass down on the bar, Raf approached her with a second drink. "Miss Trixxie, a gentleman over there asked me to bring this drink to you. And he also gave me this note to give to you," Raf said, handing Trix the drink and the slip of paper.

Trix was surprised but intrigued. She took the note and read it out loud, "Dear Miss Trixxie, I couldn't help but notice you from across the bar. You have a smile that lights up the room. I hope you enjoy this drink and have a wonderful evening. - A secret admirer."

Trix blushed at the note and took a sip of the drink. It was a delicious combination of sweet and sour flavors, with a hint of spice. She looked around the bar, trying to spot her secret admirer, but no one seemed to be looking at her direction. She smiled to herself, feeling grateful for the small moment of happiness that the mysterious gesture had brought her.

Bloody Bull - Something like the manly version of the bloody mary. A tasty mixture of vodka, beef bouillon, lemon, tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Again, the name makes up for at least 50% of what makes the manliest drinks manly. And a friendly warning: Make sure you drink it regularly drinking glass. Don't let them serve you in a frilly glass, or we'll revoke your man card! Not the top choice of drinks for taste, but any man that can down this probably has the hairy chest of a bull from the burning bite of the bloody bull.

"Excuse me Trix. Here's your Red Velvet Cake Martini Cocktail with lots of love!" Arch presented.

"Oh, I have that already, and actually I finished drinking it."

(Pointing the empty wine glass)

"Not that I know. A handsome guy requested me to hand this over to you with this note,"

"Who's guy?" Trix asked.

"There!" (Arch pointing the table where the guys are seated)

"Uw, he must be a ghost then, Arch. No one's sitting there!"

"He might leave already then."

"Don't mess up with me, or I'll ..."

"You'll kiss me?" Arch whispered

"It looks like you have a new suitor, Trix. Or he might be a stalker or maybe a secret admirer."

"Shut the **** up!"

"Alright. You look scary really when you get mad. Then I'll leave you here. Enjoy your drink pretty!"

After Arch left, Trix read the notes as she makes a sip of the cocktail.

"If not now, when?" she quoted.

"And what does this exactly mean? Whatever. I'm going to finish this and leave."

After an hour she bade goodbye to her friendsl Raf and to Arch as well.

Raf is Trix best friend since high school. Raf became Trix human diary. He is the only one she can tell her story and rely on. She is the only one she can trust. Raf was there for her, especially on her downtimes. Raf is the sole owner of the Linquer.

Before reaching the exit door...

"Oh, sorry for bumping you, Miss. I must be drunk. I didn't see you coming!", explained the young man in his 30s.

"That's okay. I was not paying attention, so I am at fault too", Trix explained.

But that scent, that voice, it seems so familiar to her.

"No, it can't be. He couldn't be here." thoughts battling in her mind.

While debating herself, someone grab her hands and pulled her into the dark corner of the bar. He gently put his hand around her waist and aimed to kiss her.

"I missed you so much!"

Vin.....

Before she could complete uttering his name, his lips touched her. They exchange kisses passionately. Their tongue battling like it's in a war.

"How'd you know I am here?", Trix asked.

"Of course, I have connections. I know your every move."

"So you've been stalking me all along?"

"If you call that way, yes, I guess. I am sorry Trix for what I've done before. I was a coward, man. Furthermore, I can't stand up and fight for our love....

"Shhh.... I know you have your reasons, and I have heard enough of it. I am glad that you never hated me."

"I love you, Trix. Please give me another chance to prove it to you. This time, I'll make things right. This time, I will bravely face all the challenges that will come our way. I love only you", he said.

"I love you too, Vince. And I am willing to start it over with you."

They shared another passionate kiss, and Trix couldn't help but feel like she was falling in love with Vince all over again.

"Want to come to my place?", Vince asked.

"You should have not asked me. Because when it comes to you, it's always a Yes."

"Okay, just wait me here! I'll just get my car."

He kissed her forehead and hurriedly went to the parking lot.

(After 10 minutes)

"Want a ride, beautiful?" he teasingly asked.

"Sure!"

"Fasten your seatbelt as I am ready to take off."

"Huh, take off?"

"Ready to take off your clothes. Mwauhh. Just kidding. I'm taking you to the safest place.

"Interesting! I want to know, where's this your so-called safest place?

"The safest place, In my heart." he said while still blushing.

"I was there once. Jerk! But you left me there hanging, remember? But it's all in the past. I still want to go there. And now, I wanted to stay there forever." Trix shyly said.

"Then let's start, it'll be a long journey. Shall we, My Queen?"

"Alright, My King"

Vince led Trix inside his cozy condo, which was decorated with photos of their past adventures and special moments. The air was filled with a sweet scent of vanilla candles and soft music was playing in the background.

"Make yourself comfortable, my love. Would you like something to drink?" Vince asked as he headed to the kitchen.

"Yes, please. Surprise me," Trix replied, sitting on the couch and admiring the view from the large windows.

Vince returned with two glasses of red wine and handed one to Trix. They clinked their glasses and took a sip, enjoying the smooth and rich flavor.

"I have a surprise for you," Vince said with a mischievous smile.

"What surprise?" Trix asked curiously.

"Close your eyes," Vince instructed, taking Trix's hand and leading her to the balcony.

Trix obediently closed her eyes and felt the cool breeze brushing against her skin. She heard Vince humming a familiar tune and felt him embracing her from behind.

"Okay, open your eyes," Vince said, pointing to the sky.

Trix opened her eyes and gasped at the sight in front of her. The balcony was decorated with fairy lights and there were hundreds of paper lanterns floating up in the night sky, creating a breathtaking view.

"Wow, Vince. This is amazing!" Trix exclaimed, turning to hug him.

"I knew you'd love it. I want to create more special moments like this with you," Vince said, holding her close.

"I want that too, Vince. I love you," Trix said, looking into Vince's eyes.

"I love you more, Trix. You make my world brighter and more beautiful," Vince replied, kissing her gently.

As they exchanged sweet kisses again, they both knew that their love for each other was stronger than ever before. They couldn't wait to embark on more adventures and make more memories together.
