Angela, Trix's best friend, walked into her office with a curious look on her face. "Trix, have you heard?" she asked, trying to contain her excitement.
Trix, engrossed in her work, looked up with a puzzled expression. "About what?" she replied, hoping it wasn't another work-related emergency.
"I heard there's this new agency in town," Angela said, leaning in closer to Trix's desk, "and they are very known for this match-up and dating chuva chuchu thing. Why don't you give it a try? It wouldn't hurt, right?"
Trix raised an eyebrow, intrigued but skeptical. "Dating chuva chuchu thing? What's that?"
Angela rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean, Trix. They help you find your perfect match! And besides, you're not getting any younger. You need to forget that damn guy who left you without even saying anything. He doesn't deserve you, he doesn't deserve your loneliness, he doesn't deserve your tears. You are pretty, sis, and for sure there are a lot of guys who will make all these efforts just to win your heart. It's time you open your heart, Trix. Don't lock yourself up in a dark room waiting for that light. When you don't have any idea when it would come or would it really come. I'm here to help you get out of that place. Okay, sis?" Angela said, with determination.
Trix smiled, touched by Angela's concern. "I am lucky to have you as a friend. It's no doubt. And I appreciate all your efforts in this, but sis, I'm not going to. Sorry."
"But sis..." Angela protested.
Trix interrupted, "Sweetie, I still have a lot of work to do, and another client is coming next week, so I'll be busy preparing for the presentation. Yes, I am not getting any younger, but I still believe he will come back. There's this little angel who keeps on whispering, he will come back. Not now but at the right time," Trix explained as she hugged Angela.
"Whatever, sis. But let me know if you change your mind!" Angela said, throwing her hands up in exasperation.
"Not gonna happen! And time to get back to work, sis," Trix replied with a laugh, grateful for her friend's support. As Angela left her office, Trix couldn't help but think about what she had said. Maybe it was time to move on, but she wasn't quite ready yet. She continued working, hoping that one day, she would find the right person at the right time.
----
As Trix was going through her usual work routine, the phone rang, and she answered with a professional tone, "Thank you for calling Elliom, this is Trix how may I help you today?"
A familiar voice responded, "Oh hi Trix this is Mr. Smith. I call to follow up regarding the documents I asked a weeks ago to Mr. Alejandro. Can you check it up? My boss is waiting for it."
Trix recognized Mr. Smith's voice and replied, "Yes, I remember your request, Mr. Smith. Let me check with Mr. Alejandro and I will get back to you as soon as possible."
"Thank you so much, Trix. My boss is really expecting it," Mr. Smith said with urgency in his voice.
"Don't worry, Mr. Smith. I will make sure to follow up and update you promptly," Trix reassured him.
After the conversation ended, Trix immediately dialed Mr. Alejandro's office number. Isabela picked up the phone, "Hi Trix, can I help you?"
Trix replied, "Hi, Isabela. Can you please forward my call to Director Alejandro?"
"Sure, hold on a sec," Isabela said as she transferred the call to Mr. Alejandro.
As soon as Mr. Alejandro answered the call, Trix explained the situation, "Sir, Mr. Smith called a moment ago regarding a document he requested and is asking if you have it now since his boss is waiting for it."
"Oh my! I almost forgot about it. Thank you for reminding me, Trix. I will call Mr. Smith myself and inform him that I will be sending the files tomorrow," Mr. Alejandro replied, sounding slightly embarrassed.
"Alright, sir. I will inform Mr. Smith about the update," Trix replied, making a note of the conversation.
As Trix hung up the phone, she couldn't help but feel sorry for Mr. Alejandro. "Maybe he is really getting old as he mostly forgets things. Important things. Oh my!" she thought to herself.
Shaking off her thoughts, Trix realized that she had a lot of work to do and quickly got back to her tasks. "Anyway, time to get those papers reviewed and for emails to be sent to clients. This will be a busy day. Phew!" she muttered to herself as she started typing away.
---
Isabela, Mr. Alejandro's secretary, entered Trix's office looking worried. "Trix, Mr. Alejandro wants to see you at his office right now," she said.
Trix furrowed her eyebrows. "Did he mention what it's all about?" she asked.
"He didn't, but it seems very important," Isabela replied.
Trix sighed. "Alright then. I'll head there now with you. Thanks, Isabela."
As they walked towards Mr. Alejandro's office, Trix couldn't help but feel anxious. She wondered what could be so important that Mr. Alejandro needed to see her right away.
Knocking on the door, they heard Mr. Alejandro's voice say, "Come in."
"Sir, you wanted to see me?" Trix asked as she entered the room.
"Yes, Trix. This is regarding the new client who is coming next week," Mr. Alejandro replied.
"What about it, sir?" Trix inquired.
"I heard he is strict and a hard client. I mean, he is that kind of person who is difficult to please. He doesn't listen to anyone as he always believes he is right. He is a perfectionist too. I wonder how we are going to handle him. You know me, I hate this kind of people, and we might clash," Mr. Alejandro explained.
"I do understand, sir. Anything, I will be more than happy to help," Trix offered.
"I actually called VV Company as this client wanted to meet with them too. And we will be having a meeting in an hour. I wanted you to come too with the other staff. I already called them, and they'll be here any minute. I need everyone's help as this may be a tough quest. But I do believe we can win him and have him sign with us," Mr. Alejandro stated.
"Then I'll go prepare, sir," Trix said.
"Yes, please. And, oh, one thing. You can speak Korean, right?" Mr. Alejandro asked.
"A little, sir. Why'd you ask?" Trix responded.
"Then I'll be needing your help with this. The client is actually Korean, and he would love it if someone could talk to him in his language. What a demanding one. According to my resources, it would be a plus since he hates speaking in English," Mr. Alejandro explained.
"Oh, but I only know a little, sir. I am not yet fluent," Trix admitted.
"Just try it," Mr. Alejandro said.
"Okay, sir," Trix agreed.
"Then I'll go and prepare for the meeting," Mr. Alejandro said as he stood up from his chair.
"Thanks, Trix. See you in a minute," he added before leaving the room.
Trix took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. She knew that this meeting would be a challenge, but she was determined to do her best and help her company win this client. She walked out of Mr. Alejandro's office, ready to face whatever was coming her way.
---
As Trix was heading back to her office, she couldn't help but feel like everything was becoming blurry. She rubbed her eyes, trying to clear her vision, but it only seemed to get worse.
"Why is everything becoming blurry?" she thought to herself, feeling a bit disoriented. "And it's getting dark. Is there a way out...?" Before she could finish her thought, everything went black and she lost consciousness in the hallway.
When she woke up, she was in a hospital room with Alif and Angela sitting by her bedside. "What happened?" Trix asked weakly.
"You passed out in the hallway," Alif explained. "We called the emergency hotline and brought you here."
"We were so worried about you," Angela added. "We thought we were going to lose you."
Trix felt grateful for their concern and care. "Thank you both. I don't know what happened. I felt fine earlier," she said with a sigh.
"It's probably just stress," Alif reassured her. "You've been working nonstop lately."
The doctor came in to check on Trix and ran some tests. "According to our tests, everything seems fine," Dr. Hudson said. "It appears you just passed out due to stress and not eating properly. You should be waking up anytime soon, but for now, you need to rest."
Trix nodded, feeling a sense of relief that it was nothing serious. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Trix woke up feeling much better. "How long was I out?" she asked Alif and Angela.
"About a day," Angela replied. "We've been taking turns watching over you."
Trix felt touched by their dedication. "Thank you both. I really appreciate it."
As they chatted, Isabela came in to visit. "How are you feeling, Trix?" she asked with a smile.
"Much better, thanks," Trix replied. "I'm just glad it wasn't anything serious."
Isabela couldn't resist making a joke. "In fairness, the doctor seems hot and good-looking. I would have gone ***** and had him examine me," she said, causing everyone to laugh.
But Angela was quick to put an end to the joking. "Shut the f*** up\, Isabela\," she snapped. "It's not time to joke around. Trix isn't waking up yet. I'm going crazy."
Alif hugged her girlfriend, trying to calm her down. "We heard what the doctor said. She'll wake up soon."
Isabela realized her mistake and apologized. "Sorry, Angela. I didn't mean to make light of the situation."
Director Alejandro came in to check on Trix and gave them an update on her work. "I'll have to go back to the office and sort out things. I want to stay here longer, but I'll be piled up with paperwork if I do. Alif and Angela, can I leave you two here? I believe you're the people she needs in times like this. Just update me with her progress and call me as soon as she wakes up."
"Of course, sir," Alif replied.
"Take care, Director," Angela added.
As Director Alejandro left, Alif, Angela, and Isabela continued to keep Trix company, hoping for her speedy recovery.
---
"Sis, why did you do that? You need to wake up now. I already signed you up for the dating match. If you don't want it, hurry up and wake up now and cancel it," Alif pleaded, trying to wake Trix up from her deep slumber.
"You did what, Hon?" Angela asked in confusion.
"Just shut up, Hon. I am trying to convince her to wake up," Alif snapped back.
"And you think that threatening her like that would wake her up?" Angela retorted.
"I'm going crazy, Hon. I can't take it if Trix will be gone," Alif said, looking at Trix with concern.
"Hon, relax. She'll be fine. She'll wake up anytime soon. Okay? Let's trust what the doctor said," Angela comforted while patting Trix's head.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and a delivery boy announced, "Happy Couple Deluxe delivery for Trixxie Fuentebella!"
"What are you talking about?" Alif asked, confused.
"My apologies, sir. This is the name of the package deal ordered to us," the delivery boy explained as he handed a large bouquet of flowers and a basket set of fruits to Alif.
"And may I know who sent all these?" Alif asked curiously.
"I am sorry, sir, but the sender wanted his identity to remain unknown. If you don't mind, can you please sign here, sir?" the delivery boy replied.
"Alright!" Alif signed the package and bid farewell to the delivery boy, who wished for Trix's quick recovery.
"What was that about?" Angela asked.
"It's a delivery for Trix. Hurry, check where it came from," Alif instructed.
"Oh, there's a card. It says here, 'It's never too late to be what we might have been.' ♡"
"And what does that exactly mean?" Angela asked, curious.
"I don't have any idea, Hon. Dare to arrange the flowers for Trix?" Alif said, teasing Angela.
"Of course. Angela doesn't say no when it comes to flowers. You know me," Angela replied with a grin.
As Alif and Angela arranged the flowers, they talked about the mysterious sender and what the message on the card could mean.
"A big! No, a huge bouquet of red tulips and white roses. How lovely!" Angela exclaimed.
"You are more lovely than those flowers, Hon. But you know what those flowers mean? True love!" Alif said, pulling Angela close and giving her a kiss.
Just then, Trix's soft voice filled the room. "No! Come back here!"
"Oh my God! Trix, you're finally awake!" Alif said, rushing to her side.
"Where am I? What happened? The meeting?" Trix asked in confusion.
"Relax, girl. You're in the hospital. You passed out. How many times do I have to tell you? Health first. Don't push yourself too hard. Work is just there. You need to prioritize yourself and your health first," Angela scolded lightly.
"Sorry to disturb you and for making you all worry," Trix apologized.
"That's alright, dear. But you bad girl! So we really have to kiss in front of you for you to wake up, huh?!" Alif teased, and the three of them laughed.
Trix sat there, perplexed by the strange dream she had just shared with her friends Alif and Angela. The three of them were having coffee at their usual hangout spot, and Trix couldn't shake the feeling that there was some deeper meaning to her dream.
"I really don't know that. Not really! I actually dreamed of something.. a weird dream...I saw a guy's back..He handed me flower. 2 kinds of flower and what's weird is my name is written on each of the stems. So I shouted asking him not to leave but he did. Then I saw a note saying, 'It's never too late to be what we might have been.'", Trix explained.
"Huh, how did you know?" Trix asked, surprised.
"Earlier there's a delivery for you. It's a Happy Couple Deluxe," Alif replied.
"What?" Trix asked, confused.
"It's the name of the package he said. And that was what is written on the notes," Angela added.
"Wait, why don't we check the flowers?" Angela burst out.
"What do you mean checked?" Alif asked.
"Trix mentioned her name carved on the stem. I just wonder if it's possible coz it's not just 2 stems. It's 2 big bouquets!" said Angela excitedly.
"It won't hurt us to check, right? Can we do the honor Trix?" Alif smiled.
"I don't mind at all," Trix said, feeling a little nervous about what they might find.
The two hurriedly went to the table where the flowers were and checked each stem one by one. Trix watched as they examined the flowers, her heart racing with anticipation.
"Oh my goodness!" Angela shouted, still amazed at what she saw.
Trix's eyes widened as Angela handed her two stems with her name and a heart shape carved onto them.
"This is my first time seeing this. There's really your name written on each stem," Angela said in amazement.
"But who sent the flowers?" Trix wondered out loud.
"That is what we are going to find out," Alif said, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.
As they sat back down at their table, Trix couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had always loved solving mysteries, and this one felt like it was meant for her to solve.
