Chapter two

The vigorous shaking of the truck woke them up and they supposed it was already morning judging by the light that sips in through the binds covering the truck.

they stretched their limbs which felt numb from sleeping on a hard surface, struggling to adjust their eyes to the light.

"when did the truck start moving" Jimin asked still yawning and feeling the need to go back to his sleep that was rudely interrupted by the moving vehicle.

"I don't know, I fell asleep almost immediately after we came in..." he was interrupted when the car shakes more almost throwing him off-balance, the goods in the truck almost colliding with them.

"what the..? are they trying to kill us? " Jimin whisper yelled using his hand to block the cargos from sandwiching him with the truck. he hears Taehyung groans and he knows he's in a similar situation as he is.

this went on for quite some time, they only had time to rest when the truck was seemingly on a smooth path. it was during one of their resting episodes that Jimin's stomach growls and he threw his head back with a low sigh, he didn't know the journey would take so long.

"here Chim" Jimin turned around to see Taehyung, hand stretched out to offer him two loafs of bread. he reached out to get it watching as Taehyung reached into his bag to get two more loafs for himself and a bottle of water.

"you really came prepared Tae" Jimin comments smiling at him when he saw how he quickly stuffed his face with the bread making him look like a chipmunk while he takes his time to chew his, appreciating the way the bread makes his stomach hurt less.

"of course I did" Taehyung answered after gulping down almost half the water content in the bottle and Jimin watch as he tries to close the bottle, his hands moving faster than usual and his eyes blinking repeatedly.

"Tae, are you nervous" Jimin asked and Taehyung looks up at him.

"No" he answered quickly but at the stern face Jimin gave him he recoiled, nodding his head not quite meeting Jimin's eyes. at this Jimin sighs moving closer to him.

"don't be Tae, it's going to be okay" he says as he brings Tae to a side hug, the best he could reach in their limited space.

"I know it will be okay Chim, it's just... what are we going to do once we reach there, we don't have a place to stay and we might get lost, what if the nuns start looking for us and we get into trouble and... "

"Taehyung" Jimin cuts him off, holding his face between both of his palms so he could look at his face.

"if you were so scared why did you do this Tae?" Jimin asked softly caressing his cheeks.

"I want you to be happy Chim and if doing this makes you happy then I'm okay, I don't regret this, it's just"

"shhh, it's okay" Jimin assures, kissing his cheek "everything is going to be alright okay? he asked and Taehyung smiled hugging Jimin back, hiding his face in his chest so he wouldn't see the pink color dusting over his cheeks.

they fell asleep again since the truck began to drive smoothly and by the time they woke up it was already dark outside.

" I think we're in Seoul already Tae" Jimin states, getting into a kneeling position to look out of the truck the best he could.

Taehyung was about to make a comment when a loud voice outside boomed over his.

"Hey we are here, but it's too late to start unloading, so we'll leave it till tomorrow, come on boys, let's go" he said before the sound of footsteps moving away from the truck could be heard and once every where was silent, The boys took it as their cue to get down, taking their things with them.

Jimin gets down first, looking around before helping a much slower Taehyung get down. they walked slowly and silently so they won't get caught.

once they saw a door, they ran towards it trying to push it open but it won't bulge and so after a few minutes of trying they gave up.

"we should just spend the night here Chim then tomorrow once they open the door, we'll make a run for it" Taehyung said looking around the place they currently are, which is no doubt a warehouse, the bulky goods and trucks giving it away.

Taehyung finds a spot and walked over, dropping his bag and using it as a pillow to support his head.

"Tae"

"hmm? "

"are you sleeping? "

"about to, why? "

"nothing, but aren't you tired of sleeping, that's what we've been doing since last night" Jimin says looking down at him softly.

"I'm still tired Jimin and I feel like sleeping more" Taehyung says, words heavy with sleep "you should go to bed too, it's already late" he continued

Jimin chuckled, sitting close to Taehyung and began playing with his hair.

"I can't sleep Tae, cause I'm too excited, I can't wait to leave here and see the beautiful world behind this door, to take a step closer to my destiny. this is like a dream come true Tae and I don't know what I would do without you... " he was interrupted by the snores Taehyung was letting out, obviously too asleep to listen to Jimin talking.

Jimin smiles, laying next to Taehyung so he could see his face, different emotions swimming in his eyes. and somewhere into the night he also falls asleep.

the next day the sound of metals clanging woke them up, Jimin being the first to wake up shakes Taehyung awake so they could hide before the door open.

a man threw the door open and starts moving in followed by more men behind him. once the men were close to the truck seemingly discussing something, Jimin grabbed Taehyung's hand and dashes out the door, nobody notices. they ran laughing as they go, the feeling of freedom was euphoric to them and at this moment they felt the happiest.
