Chapter one

It's been two weeks since Taehyung made a promise to Jimin about getting him to his favorite school. and after days of constant research, he feels ready to execute his plan.

"Chim? what are you doing?" Taehyung asked surprised.

"washing clothes duh" he answered smugly, continuing to do what he was doing.

"you are supposed to be doing that with your hands and not dancing on them, you might rip them" Taehyung scolded

"hey, I'm older than you" Jimin warns playfully now dancing more aggressively on the clothes, Taehyung sighs not wanting to continue with this conversation anymore so he sits a bit farther from Jimin's washing bowl and speaks.

"I have a plan Jimin" he say cautiously not wanting others to hear him

"What plan? " Jimin asked back obviously absent minded, way to caught up in dancing which made look like a lunatic since there was no music playing from anywhere.

"a plan of leaving this place"

at this Jimin stops dancing turning around to look at Taehyung.

"how? " he asked again stepping out of his washing bowl to sit close to Taehyung.

"there is a cargo truck that leaves for the city once every two weeks, they stock goods during the intervals before leaving" he said, looking at Jimin who looks like he hadn't got a thing, his eyebrows furrowed in question.

"the plan is to leave the orphanage on the night of one of the truck's departure" Taehyung completed feeling happy when Jimin finally seemed to get it.

"really? but where is this truck"

"at the marketplace, that warehouse we ran into last year when we sneaked out".

Taehyung answered and Jimin smiled at the memory though it was faint now.

" How did you know all this Tae?"

"I asked around a bit, snuck out when everyone was too busy" Taehyung answered coyly

"what? you left without me? Jimin asked feigning hurt by putting his hand over his chest making Taehyung roll his eyes.

" I had to" he simply said pushing Jimin away when he dramatically pretended to faint on him.

Taehyung tries pushing him away but Jimin keeps struggling to put his head on Tae's lap, laughing when Taehyung groaned at his failure to push Jimin away and it was this moment that brought them happiness, when they were in their own world, just two of them, and the world around them don't matter.

they continued to play not noticing the time go by until it was getting dark.

"it's getting dark Tae, please help me wash so we can hurry up" Jimin said already getting up to continue what he was doing earlier.

"I don't want to, you never help me when it's my turn" Taehyung say resting on his elbow as he watches Jimin wash instead of dancing.

"please Tae, just this once" Jimin pleads with his whiny voice knowing Taehyung wouldn't refuse him.

"Ugh fine, just today" Taehyung clarified before moving towards him to help him.

they played a little, but finished non the less before taking the long route back to the dorms.

"so when are we leaving Tae? " Jimin asks as walk.

"the next truck leaves tomorrow night, so I think we should leave with the one after this one" Taehyung commented thoughtfully.

"that means in two weeks times? " Jimin asked.

"yes, that way we get to prepare... hey why did you stop? " taehyung asked when he saw the other lagging behind.

"Chim what..?

"Let's leave tomorrow Tae"

"what? but isn't that too sudden? we won't have enough time to prepare anything". Taehyung said

" what is there to prepare for? we don't have much, tomorrow morning we can grab all we have into a sack and by night we are gone" he said calmly but Taehyung could pick up the hint of desperation in his voice. "we don't have to wait for another two weeks before leaving Tae, what do you think? " Jimin asked with hopeful eyes and Taehyung can not stand being the one to crush his hope even if he thinks this idea is absurd.

"fine, I guess we could do that, and we don't have to raise suspicion so we have to be careful" Taehyung said and was surprised when Jimin pulled him into a hug, one so tight he could hear his bone crack.

"thank you so much Tae, you've done so much for me, I don't know how I'll ever pay you back" Jimin said, voice slightly muffled by the clothing on the crook of Taehyung's neck where he buried his face.

"You don't have to pay me back Chim, this is what friends do for each other" he says bringing Jimin's face away from his neck to look at him in the eye.

"and you're my best friend" taehyung completed and this time Jimin hugs him tighter chanting "thank you" into his ears like a prayer.

The next day Jimin walked around animatedly, partly because he didn't get an ounce of sleep and because he didn't want to raise suspicion.

night came and it was time to leave, they expertly snuck out of the orphanage easily since they have been doing for a long time now.

"wow I can't believe we're leaving" Jimin said clutching his little sack close to his chest

"well you better believe it because we here at our transport to the city" Taehyung said quietly since it was pretty late and most people had resigned for the night"

they managed to sneak into the warehouse through the backdoor that was poorly constructed and also got into the large truck with variety of goods in it, they cleared a spot at the back, dropping their sack and sitting on the floor of the truck.

"Taehyung what if this is a big mistake? "

Jimin asked bringing his knees closer to his face as he hugs them and Taehyung smiled at him, trying to straighten his confidence.

"it's never a mistake when you're trying to fulfill your dreams Jimin" Taehyung said, feeling satisfied when he saw the smile appearing on Jimin's face.

"now sleep, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow Chim"

"goodnight Tae"

"good night"

and so they went to sleep not knowing what awaits them in the future but wishing for the best.
