Chapter Four Natalie's POV

5th April

I woke up with the chirping of some birds. I headed to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. I dorned a loose jeans and a white blouse. I French-braided my hair and admired myself in the mirror.

I was looking beautiful. Actually, I am beautiful. My dark brown eyes compliments my fair complexion. Previously, I had short kinky hair and it took me 8 years to grow them till my waist. I tried all oils and even odd hair treatments. It was tiring but it paid off.

I had a rather slim body and adequate features to deem me a lady.

I had breakfast and took my purse before heading out.

"Naaaaaat!!!!"Ferozah shouted my name and threw herself on me for a hug.

I caught her in time before she landed flat on the ground and hugged her back.

"Woman, I can't breath," she was squeezing the life out of me.

"Oh, sorry," she released me and gave me a big smile.

We started catching up on the few years we missed together. What shocked me is when she informed me that she had a boyfriend.

"What!!" I almost spilt my coffee.

"Come down will you. People are watching." She hissed.

I didn't believe it. Ferozah Hayyey having a boyfriend was a miracle. I always thought she was an asexual nun.

" Details Now,"I urged her to continued.

" His name is Mark and he is lovely...." She trailed off as she talked about her boyfriend.

Amidst the conversation, I felt a pang of jealousy. It was natural, I guess. Am a woman too and I need the occasional surprises of flowers and chocolates.

"Huh,"I sighed.

"Nat...Nat....Natalie!!" Ferozah shook me to reality.

"Am....Sorry. Had too much in my mind." I apologised and gave her a smile.

"Okay...but are you fine?"She asked.

"Yeah, I am. Why won't I?" I questioned back.

"No...I mean you look gloomy and all. Girl,you need to spice your life up. Like have some adventure."She said.

"Mmh," I just agreed in response.

"Talking about adventure...Did you hear that the hottest Prince Adams is in town?" She asked.

"No," I answered back.

"For the love of God Nat, you need some out time from that apartment of yours and staying tuned to the world around you,"She said in protest.

"Okay...So about the Prince..." I reminded her about her unfinished gossip.

" I heard he is hot and rich. He got brains and he has a perfect ***. He will be at the Ford Park at 4pm to meet his subjects( fans;actually mostly girls). And you know where's the catch?" She asked.

"Where?"I furrowed my brows in question.

"He is a potential suitor. He is a bachelor!!" She squilled in happiness.

"Don't you have a boyfriend?"I asked her flatly.

"Not for me,dummy. For you,"She smirked.

"No..nope..na-ah...never gonna happen..." I trailed on with my protests.

And that is where, ladies and gentlemen, I found myself being dragged out of a mall at 3pm in pursuit for my knight in shinning armour. All what I had planned went in jeopardy. I was pushed into a cab by Ferozah heading to the Park. However,Lady Luck wasn't in our favour; we were stuck in traffic.

"You see Ferozah,even God doesn't want me to go there. Look,we are stuck in traffic now." I protested and pouted.

"Oh please Nat,"She retorted back.

"Okay. Let's stay in here for the rest of our lives. Even the pedestrians must've reached there by now."I replied.

"Nat!!" She screamed.

"What!"I growled angrily.

"You are a genius." She said with a smile before heading for her purse.

"Duh, isn't that obvious," I said as I flipped my hair from side to side dramatically.

Before I realised, she had already paid the driver and pushed me out of the cab.

I stumbled before I regained my composure.

"Woman,what the hell is wrong with you?" I asked her.

" We are walking to the park," She said before dragging me along.

"Don't worry,it's just a five minute walk," she added.

By the time we reached the park,I was out of breath and my feet were killing me. I had worn heels and I was starting to regret it.

"Ferozah, give a minute to catch a breath please," I pleaded as I bent holding onto my knees huffing.

"No problem, you can take 15 actually. We will need energy for that."She said pointing behind her.

I almost fainted after what I saw.

"No,hell no!!" I protested.

"Come on Nat. Don't be such a party pooper." She said.

"No. Can't you see that crowd? We will be crashed in it before we even entered the park," I explained.

"But we've reached so far. Please,please...please..." She whined.

I literally groaned in frustration.

"Let's go,"I heaved in defeat.

We ran towards the crowd and threw ourselves in. Pulling....pushing....gripping....Stepping... All this was what I experienced before I thrashed myself into the park. This was crazy and I simply laughed.

"Nat,help here!" I heard Ferozah's thrilled voice.

I spotted her flailing hand seeking assistance. Her whole body was stuck in the crowd at the entrance. The scene was hilarious. I shuffled towards the hand,holding it and pulled with all my energy.

"Ooph!!" She came through and fell on the ground next to me.

I stared at her and I broke into a laugh. Her hair was in a mess and her makeup. She looked like she was from a brawl.

" Don't laugh at me. Don't you see yourself?" She asked before she joined me, laughing.

This was gonna be one of my longest day in my life. It was 4:30 pm and we had yet to see the damn Prince. We needed to move fast. But we needed a bathroom first.
