Beneath The Shadow Of Love

Liam observed silently as he drove off, a sense of regret settling in. Shortly after, Cai followed suit, his frustration evident as he grabbed his hair and snatched the keys before speeding away. Cai trailed behind but never managed to catch up to Rhys.
He observed the dejection in him, a strong desire to comfort him rising within, yet he found himself at a loss for words or actions to addressed his own unresolved emotions
Inside, Liam spotted his grandmother and uncle, their concern evident. Despite their willingness to help, he realized their hands were tied. He knew that once Alfie made up his mind, it was final—some things about him never changed.
Liam
"Thank you for allowing us to speak with your grandson.
Gloria/Mc grandmother
Everything will be okay.
Liam's grandmother assured, her tone comforting. "I believe they were just caught in the between and didn't anticipate things moving so quickly."
Liam
"I understand we should have informed you, and I'm sorry for involving you in this trouble,"
Liam expressed sincerely.
Liam
"I didn't want to create a rift between us, but it felt like the only option. They wouldn't let us near them; they had to come along."
As they bid their farewells and made their way to the car, Liam couldn't shake the feeling that Alfie still harbored lingering emotions for him. The vulnerability he displayed during their earlier conversation hinted at something deeper than mere animosity. Despite his own frustration with his presumptuousness, Liam was willing to do whatever it took to bring him back into his life, this time for good.
He tightly gripped the paper in his hand, his mind in turmoil. Alfie's face lingered in his thoughts, a constant distraction. Liam impatiently waited for a phone call that could reveal Alfie's location, his heart racing with anticipation.
Days had passed, and still, there was no word from either of them. Liam's attempts at calling and messaging went unanswered, leading him to believe they were annoyed by his persistence. With their phones turned off, no one could reach them, and Liam was at a loss, unaware of any close friends of Alfie who might provide insight.
"Each passing day, I found myself turning to alcohol, using it as a crutch to numb the pain and quiet the relentless worries about him. It's like the weight of his absence is crushing me, and I don't know how to bear it anymore."
"After completely neglecting my work and responsibilities for days, I finally managed to clear my head. I threw myself into my work and anything else that could serve as a distraction, hoping to find support and forget about everything else."
But I still can't help but wonder where he is, what he's doing, who he's with, or if he's spending the night with another man.
My mind was all about him, which is why I snapped out of my drunken state. Moreover, I can't lose the company over these petty things. I still have to uphold Gill Corporation.
He always looks back at the memories they shared together.
