The Forest in Nyborg

C.E 1915 August , Northeast ******** ****** Nyborg Warzone / First Defense Line

"Why? Why is this happening?"

Holding a rifle in while reloading it and taking aim to the enemy taking down 3 enemies,

the consciousness known as Second Lieutenant Friedrich Wutterburg, bestowed

with the ability to soar in the battlefield kept asking himself.

“Why? Why did things turn out this way ?”

“This is Trooper 0019 to Nyborg Control. I repeat, Trooper 0019 to Nyborg Control Please Respond.”

Battling in the fogy forest of Nyborg was a black silhouette.

Firing behind a dug hole while trying to confuse the enemy was the company leader that is the pride of the imperial-logistic battalion –that was me, who was reincarnated into a military soldier because of some accident.

The thing attached in his uniform

was an item that used to enhance their physical abilities using scientific

methods such as their speed and reaction time that allows them to have more

chances to their enemy.

This was the modernization of an ancient exoskeleton using science as the name implies, it was an small device that makes a military uniform an exoskeleton.

The mission was to guard a military defense until the reinforcements arrive and be an

artillery observation in that designated place

“Trooper 0019, This is Nyborg Control. Reading you loud and clear”

We thought it was nothing, just a guard mission at the imperial-Federation national

border. Only that when we were performing our duties, we spotted movements in the forest and contacted the Nyborg Command Center

“Trooper 0019, We saw movements in the forest”

“Nyborg acknowledge. Your observation zone has been assigned to an artillery battalion.

Designation: 201st Goliath battalion. This arrangement will sand until you

receive another order, or the mission is complete, Over”

The general allocation of human resources was based on the geopolitical needs of

the Empire. For historical reasons, the Empire is located right in the middle of the continent, so they have had to think of their neighboring countries as potential enemies.

To defend their vast territory, their troop numbers were always a tricky topic.

To resolve this problem, the conclusion painstakingly reached by headquarters was to efficiently use every resource available to them.

“Trooper 0019, this is the artillery battalion form the join division, 201st Goliath, do

you copy”

“201nd Goliath, this is Trooper 0019 Reading You load and clear I have an visual on

the enemy infantry approaching. Telemetry has been sent. Please acknowledge”

“201st Goliath roger……. Conducting first ranging shot.”

And so, Second Lieutenant Friedrich Wutterburg, who was commissioned into the military, made a periodic radio checks with practiced hands via the signal set, performing his duties as a forward artillery observer in the Northeast Forest of Nyborg.

“To be honest, I do have complaints about why I am guarding in such a place"

“Confirming raging shots….  Confirmed target within shot range. Shot deviation less than 20 meters form the target’s center. Please

proceed with the bombardment.”

“201st Goliath copy. Commencing fire mission.”
