Episode 3 : Lightning Touch

"First up! Get beefed!" Yui is dragging me around town.

"Where in the world are we going?"

"Breakfast."

"let me guess, breakfast dish with beef?"

"BOI, you're smart as ****." I didn't get any sleep, well not ANY sleep, but I don't think to shut my eyes for 2 hours count as sleeping. It's 7 AM, and this bitch just picked up my *** like a paper and grab my it over her shoulder.

"How are we still walking around the corners of the street?"

"Well, We're lucky enough to be demi-god without showing any kind of...adjustment..."

"Adjustment?"

"Some demi-god has horns, wings, and sort of things it's like a feature, but at the moment, it's too obvious to say~ this, and that is a demi-god." Yui suddenly stops at a noodle shop. I can tell why she loves the place. The scent of cheese and beef is mesmerizing enough to make anyone go hungry.

Yui placed me down, and we both went in. Out of the ordinary, this place is perfect — the lovely red curtain, the smell of sweet and hot delicacies lingering all over the shop. Smooth wooden table, looks ordinary but they got coffee beans in the middle covered in glass.

"Why isn't Kunino with us?"

"Like I said, Adjustment. Everyone knows that Kunino Hikari is a wanted girl that has been making trouble and has metal arms and legs. I bold it out just in case, so I usually ordered a take away for her." The waitress came to us a few seconds later, after we took a seat.

"Ahh! Yui!" the red-haired waitress seems to know her too.

"Ester! could you give me the usual but make it double?"

"oh~your boyfriend?" Ester looks like a typical housewife. I can tell from her attitude, and she looks gorgeous with her red hair and red-eye... I'm guessing she's from Bielefield.

People born in Bielefield has an unusual hair colour, especially those who have stayed there for sometimes. It said that Bielefield was once the home of many gods and left an essence of power lingering till today, which may be, in my opinion, changes most people to have different hair and eye colour.

"Naaaahh...he's too cute for mine. Anyway, how's Exces?" Ask Yui with that exaggerating moves. That one girly finger play, Reiko usually does that, but ****, when did this shit gets default?

"Exces just got into her highschool! She even got the highest score, and gosh I am so proud of her." Ester seems to love her daughter so much, typical mom type that often worries about her child.

This conversation continues like forever.

-Tenmugishi, Police Agency-

The average day around the office, copies of reports and papers all over table and cases needs to finish — Kim is at his room with Alren finishing up with his work.

"Alren, what do you think of this?" Kimber tabs over to the latest report posted on the network. Alren came out with his spider legs to take a look at Kim's work.

"They....manage to manipulate the data?? How? We both encrypt the files." Alren was confused about his latest work on the incident that happened last night.

"They got someone on the other side, that's what I think, and that guy is no joke. Unless of course, they make their data but that can't finish overnight just like that." The news that they encrypt was the truth.

Stainas was sick about Veyron keep manipulating the data and spread the news about how lousy demi-god is and pull in some supporter to bank him up over his project. That incident causes full block shops to be closed down because of the debris. What's worse is that they said it was demi-gods did it with their power to fight against the project and blame it at the wanted criminal, Kunino Hikari.

The problem is that the cases haven't reached its conclusion, Stainas are still debunking the whole incident.

"Stainas is gonna be so pissed when he read the news, but that won't happen." Kim started to key in a code and found the data source. However, if he deletes it now, Veyron will start tracking here making a fuss again.

"it's not worth the risk." Alren pat Kim's shoulder.

Fucking hell it isn't.

-Abandoned mall, Tenmugishi-

"We're back!" Yui happily waves at Kunino and a big guy.

"Come on. We got some new info." Yui and I ran over to Kunino side with this big guy. He's enormous like huge. REAL HUGE.

"What's the sweets?" Yui asks.

"By the way, this is Ogu Aegisalt. He's a great informant of ours, and he got something for us." The guy is like two meters tall. Got that awesome spiky hair and holy **** his body is like those muscle builder or one of those guys that drink a protein shake for water.

"Hah! name's Ogu, you?" Ogu swings his hand for a handshake.

"Imaro, I just came here." just a shake from his hand, his strength is no joke. It's like comparing jelly beans with a fuckin metal.

"Well! Now that you've known everyone, time for the job. The incident last night we pulled? It's all over the news, and according to our friend at the police agency, it's the work of Mich Sebastion." Kunino gave us a report file encased in a thin plastic. Mich is a brilliant scientist, Computer engineering, biologist and an electrical engineering degree is on him. He's short with that disgusting, messy hair. I'm sure that glasses of his is the only weakness besides physical attribute.

"Well it's the news, they always come faster than anyone, right?" I said it out of the blue.

"The issue is that the Police agency hasn't reached its conclusion and somehow with no evidence what so ever, they put it on the news."

"Data manipulation? That's cheap." I chuckled a bit, but everyone was so intense that they stare at me.

"We're going to find out how he did it and stop him before things get worse than it should be."

"Woah Woah Woah...Hold your horses. I got nothing in me, and I don't even know my powers yet."

"I'll help you with that. In the meantime, Ogu and Yui, you guys, gather more info and hopefully we can find something that can help us." Both nod back to one another and leave both Kunino and me alone.

It was awkward, and she just looked at me where ever I go. I know she's thinking about me, but does she need to have a staredown with me? I mean Yui and Ogu are packing up their stuff. You know what? I don't know. I'll let her do her thing, like who the hell am I to judge?

"Come with me and take a seat." Empty mall with nice yellow cushion for a seat? Hardly an abandoned one. I followed Kunino down to the basement corner and took place right in front of her.

"So how do we do this?" Kunino just sits there, doing nothing while closing her eye. It's somewhat hard to believe her at this point. Is she a demi-god or are that arms and legs are just an walking stick?

All of a sudden, all of her arms and legs start to float piece by piece.

"This is the gift of being a demi-god." Kunino starts to float as well, and metal pieces were flying around her. It's hard to believe that even a demi-god has this sort of power.

"Thi-This...is fucking sorcery or some shit!"

"I know, right?! this is my power, I can create a magnetic field around me when I increase my weight and density."

"What?!" I panicked and took a step back.

"By increasing weight and density, I also gain the ability of superhuman strength and durability. Not only that, I can control which metal to levitate or stop." I slowly approach the levitating metal around and grab one then I push it back, and it floats again. Incredible.

"That's...actually amazing...how in the hell? I never thought this kind of power exists without machines!" I walk around Kunino to watch her power. Her magnetic force then gather lots of metal pieces and can melt it down together. It turned into liquid metal and took form into a bright metallic ball.

"You. have got to TEACH ME that!!"

"Hahaha...Your powers are different than mine. Yours are...unique, and actually, I've never seen and felt one like it."

"I'll explain. A demi-god has one thing that an average human can't use. It's called the Runic Core, and When you became a demi-god, your body will burst as it tries to create one. A Runic core is like water, and your body is like the glass." Kunino melts some metals around her and shapes a potion bottle and water logo in front of me as I learn the start of my demi-godhood.

"So...the water is like an energy, right? When i used it up, I die?"

"Most think that this could happen but no. You cannot use your Runic Core until it's empty, you'll likely exhaust your stamina to the point of fainting. Anyway, my body and my Runic Core has a limit, but through mental and physical stress and trauma, your glass can expand."

"Physical and mental training! I got it! But you said my Runic Core is unique, and why is that? And how do you know I have a unique Runic Core? Is the Core inside of my body right now? Does it mean that I'll be a human again if I destroy the core?" I got too excited that I just load the questions and Rambo her down.

"Woah! One at the time, please." Well, she's getting nervous.

"Right! Sorry..."

"Well when your Runic force grows, you can sense any demi-god when you get close to another demi-god. The closer you get, the more you know about the persons Runic Core. Runic core doesn't have a physical form, and Runic Core is your body. so if you destroy it, you went full retard and suicide." Kunino presents a human body and runic force in the form of liquid metal. But this shit is so bizarre yet incredible. It's fuckin unbelievable, and I'm repeating myself!

"Why did I said that your core is unique? Well! It's because there is no glass or in the term, depthless."

"What do you mean? Maybe we should make a name the 'glass'. Let's say...Runic Force!"

"Uh...okay...I've never met a demi-god who has no Runic force but has a Runic Core."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"That's EXACTLY what you are now."

-Tenmugishi, Hansaki Household."

Hassou died, and Imaro is missing...I should've gone together with them...If I were there, maybe those two would-

*Beep beep...

The phone rang, and Reiko quickly rushes over to the phone.

"Hello?"

*Miss Hansaki?

"Who is this?"

*It's Stainas from the police agency. I would like to make a report that we're still searching for Imaro. As for the news, don't buy it. What you're reading from the announcement earlier is a fraud from the governor.

"What?! Why would they make a fraud out of this!?" Reiko starts shouting on the phone.

*Honestly, I'm against it but don't believe the news, just believe in my words, and I promise you I can find Imaro for you safe and sound. I'll report to you at 7 PM every day. Stay in touch.

Stainas hang up the phone, leaving Reiko hanging at the phone. She froze at the telephone and became more worried about the two. She grips the phone as hard she can hope that Imaro would come home safely. Reiko quickly rushes over to Hassou's home to deliver the news.

-Tenmugishi, bunker 07-

Ogu founds out where Mich is hiding and goes to the bunker 07 located near the Mayor palace. The shelter meant to protect civilians from the natural disaster, but this one failed the testing run, and so Veyron change it to a site for his men to work. The bunker can fit over forty people, but it's a site work now, probably just goods and material need for action.

"What the hell?" Ogu and Yui came over to Bunker 07 where Mich was hiding and spent most of the time according to Ogu's info. But upon arriving, frozen bodies were everywhere—no sign of bleeding, broken bone or bruises.

"Ogu, Check the pulse!" both rush over the many bodies scattered but none has a heartbeat nor Mich's body.

"Nothing...holy shit I didn't think that someone would be able to do this!" Ogu wasn't surprised but was frightened. Even for Kunino, she wouldn't dare even to break a bone, let alone killing people like this.

"Check the bunker! We came here for info, not them. They are far too gone." Yui closes one of the corpse's eyes, leaving them to rest at their place.

Ogu ran inside the bunker and saw Cildreses (Computer), instead of using it now, Ogu waste no time and took it all away.

"I got it! let's go!" Ogu took multiple Cildres and placed it on his bag, but all of a sudden, They felt something chilly, something that has never been seen or faced.

"Hey, Ogu? Make a run. Something is chasing us." Yui felt colder than ever, but her power made her an adaptive body and turned back against the cold. She saw red-eye within a thick fog and ran together with Ogu.

*Hmm? They...are the same...? is that suppose to be Kunino Hikari? That woman had an intense gaze. She's the one." The mysterious figure disappeared into the darkness, leaving the bodies along with the fog.
