Episode 2 : Personal Issue

"Who are you?! I know who's the other girl, but you." I reluctantly clear up the misunderstanding and point my finger at the tank top girl.

"Name's Yui!" She's pretty tall, wearing only a black tank top, camo pants, and heavy-duty shoes. Even though she's with Kunino, I don't understand her role here.

"Oh, thanks for the fucking introduction miss Yui but can anyone explain what the **** just happen??" Kunino Rubs her forehead and turns around.

"You're a demi-god from now on! That's what happened! now calm down and be quiet!" Kunino still glares me with those eyes, but I can't help to know that there are sympathy and compassion in that gaze. Regardless of what happened, I need to know everything.

"That lightning strike made my fuckin friend disappeared! who and how the fuckin hell would anyone just calm down from that?!" I rat it all out, and Yui is starting to get nervous.

"Sorry, but I need to do this…" Yui swings her leg high up in the air, knocks me out of consciousness by kicking my head. Yui then piggybacks my unconscious body along the way.

"You know...i didn't expect this guy would just flip out…" Kunino rubs her forehead, thinking that she maybe went too harsh.

"What can you honestly expect? you just take out a cannon and blast someone out of the pictures and then tell him that he's a demi-god."

"True, but...I just thought that he would be patient enough to wait for our answer once we get somewhere safer." The siren was all over town. Police head over to the graveyard and someone reported that they heard a gigantic cannon sound.

"We attracted too much attention. Veyron might send one of his to hunt us down sooner, or later or maybe no cause we you just beat the living shit out of Ksenia and Falman." Yui and Kunino run away from the crowd and hide over to the alley away from the street where they would be hunt down.

"This guy would've been dead if we didn't come to save him. Yui, make the call to Ogu. We need to make points over town to get back to the hideout."

"Got it! Peace for both-kind!" Yui pat Kunino's head and lets out a big grin over her face. Yui then opens her cildres and call Ogu over the phone.

"peace for both-kind…"

In this world now, Demi-gods were once human. Veyron drove us away for his project called Project: Anti Demi-gods and created a law where demi-gods must abide by his rule or die. His standards were right, and we shouldn't even exist with such power, but despite all that, tyranny. I choose to fight so that humanity and demi-gods can co-exist while he doesn't believe such things.

I believed that Demi-gods could co-exist, and I can help them. No matter the time and places, humanity is fragile, but so is the demi-gods. With the human mind and power, we could've built a far more significant and much better world for everyone to live.

"Kunino...we better get a move on, the crowds are dispersing." Both rush towards an abandoned mall to rest.

-Hansaki's Household-

Reports over the graveyard, thundering power, and a presumable fight happened there. There was a trace of dense gunpowder and burned forest, and at least two to four people were involved in this fight. Police Agencies are investigating the site as we speak, and one believed to died and left a burned watch behind while the rest are missing. It's all over the news, no bullshit what so ever.

"those….boys...oh no…" Reiko refuses to believe that could be the two closest friends she has. Her face turned pale. The more she thinks about it. Reiko quickly called her supervisor about her dire situations and made a call it day off to search for the two.

She then makes a call towards the Police Agency that the burned watch belongs to her friend.

"Please…do not let it be them…" Reiko prays that nothing terrible has happened to the two. She packs her bag and gets dressed and quickly as she possibly can and heads out with her car. The phone managed to get through, and luckily it was an inspector who picked up the call, arranging her problem related to the incident just to get a face to face answer from the Police Agencies.

-Tenmugishi's Police Agency Department-

She parked her car by the roadside and slid her cildres over to the parking machine to pay the parking fee and quickly ran inside the office.

"umm...excuse me! I would like to meet with Inspector Stainas! I've made an arrangement with him over the phone!" She places her bag to the reception table and gets the customer services attention.

"Okay, ma'am, may I have your ID?" Reiko hands her cildres to the female customer services.

"Hmph! Miss Reiko? Let's not wait for customer services. Come with me to the office. You! Get the data quick, I don't wanna waste time." Stainas came out of the office looking disordered, stinks like alcohol, and greets Reiko instead of waiting. He's higher than anyone in the office, long white textured hair, and it looks like he hasn't shave for a few days. He's wearing a black leather coat, a gray button shirt with motives inside, and a black pair of trousers.

"Yes, Sir!" the lady on the reception replied, she immediately put in the data and gave Reiko's cildres back. Reiko and Stainas then move over to the interrogation room to have a private chat. Inside, the place is pretty neat and straightforward. Just a single light in the middle of the room. A camera on the top corner of the room. Two seats and a table with a cuff on the table.

"so you are Reiko Hansaki, correct?" Ask Stainas.

"Yes, and I would like to know what happens to the man that owns the watch!"

"Calm down, missy. Here's the watch." Stainas slides over Hassou's gold watch covered with a plastic bag.

"That's...that watch belongs to my friend, Hassou Tobi. what happened to him?!" Stainas's deduction is right on track again and hands out Reiko with his information.

"gone...apparently...there is a trace of his flesh on the watch, but we think Hassou is burned into nothing. There is another one though a high chance that the other manages to escape. There is a large quantity of electrical current over the area and probably was taken away. We're searching for him as best as we can. Mind if you tell me more about the two?" Reiko was so shocked that she starts crying. No matter the answer, she wasn't ready for it.

"Hikkss...the two boys were Hassou Tobi and Imaro Sentoukai. We grew up together and…" Reiko was gripping her skirt and holding on the tears in her eyes.

"enough. I'm not going to force you into telling me this. We'll find him. (She's not in good condition if this keeps up. The other guy is dead while the other turned into a demi-god. That lighting mark is not something that can be made with batteries. Imaro Sentoukai just became a demi-god, I can't let this information gets out of hand or even let Veyron taste this. High probability is that the people who took him away or saved him is probably the infamous Kunino Hikari.)" Stainas went out, leaving Reiko in the room and saw Veyron's secretary reaching out her voice for him.

"Sir! Veyron would like the report on the recent attack of the demi-god!" Stainas overlook her body figure and ignore her words. Her name is Avadel Brookwitch.

"Attack? You muppets are all the same. Whatever I say would change later on, so why the **** would YOU come to my agencies and **** all the info I gave you?" The entire agency went silent the moment Stainas starts spraying his words out.

"With due respect, this report is crucial to Mayor Veyron." Avadel began to fall back and became hesitant when every eye in the office leans to her.

"Oh right...crucial...crucial to get people to vote for him about the anti-demi-gods? You fucker are the reason why demi-gods have a bad reputation, and believe me! I've seen worse in you pricks spitting over the office. Here's the file you need." Stainas gave her a cildres containing the information about the recent incident. However, the report was all about the victims without any names. Stainas only are providing nothing but the name Kunino Hikari. The secretary took the cildres and head outside to take a ride back to the ministerial building.

"You fuckers better give the right info and this is the last shit you fuckers get from me if i don't see my report on the media!!" Stainas threw a can of beer to the car, leaving an unpleasant dent over the black sedan car.

"Sir? I think you should take a day off. It's been a long night." The receptionist lady takes his coat and put it on his back gently.

"Yeah...after a few beers..."

-Haborashi abandoned Mall, Tenmugishi.-

"ugghh...." I woke up with a mild headache, but i remember the kick is off the charts.

"hey! You awake?" Yui sits right next to me the whole time I went down. I think she played a game the entire time and paused it by the time I woke up.

"Is this some sort of a joke?" I ask.

"Nope, but I love the gig! So anyway, Kunino wants to talk to you." She opens her cildres to continue her game.

"About damn time...I need some word with her-" Kunino suddenly steps in the room.

"You okay?" I nod to reply.

Kunino is just a child, 16 years old child. Her metal arms and legs were disturbing as if she never had limbs. She walked closer to me and sat right in front of me with a pitiful face.

"Did I...have I turned into a demi-god?" I ask.

"Yes, unfortunately."

"I see...so i'm the monster everyone is talking about."

"You're not, and you are still you. You're not a monster, and that is the same with us. The only difference is that we demi-god can use the power of the gods."

"Gods?"

"Yes."

"If I'm a demi-god, whether good or bad, someone is coming after me?"

"*Sigh...his name is Veyron Yverkas, he's been working on a project called the anti-demi-gods. I'm sure you've heard his speech about doing a project to link demi-god and humans, right?"

"I've heard about it like three years ago. Isn't that why you're the criminal here?" I reluctantly point out.

"Or so you've thought that is the case. The project has been altered to eliminate demi-gods instead."

"Kid...you sure know how to get straight into the point, huh?" I chuckled a bit to see a 16 years old girl know what she's talking about.

"I know how to talk. Tell us your name." Kunino let out a smirk on her lips.

"Imaro. Imaro Sentoukai."

"Alright, then let us introduce ourselves. My name is Kunino Hikari, and she's Yui. We're the very few survivors of the demi-gods around Tenmugishi."

I have yet to learn anything, but this is a start for me. I'm a bit relieved to know that I'm still in one piece, unlike this little girl.

"Veyron has a special team that is capable of tracking us down. If you went home now, they are going straight after you but luckily you won't be in the news nor your name in the public."

"let me guess...inside job?"

"Hey! there are good peoples out there that are still look at our good side. We're no different than a human you know." Kunino seems like a child from the outside, but I can tell. No .anyone can tell she isn't something out of the ordinary. She seemed confident about me safe from the news.

"At the moment, it's just...it's too much to take in."

"I know...but personally, and I won't make you fight with us. This isn't your fight. You have a choice here." Both stares at me, as if they are waiting for me to give them the answer. There is probably no right or wrong, just choice as she implies.

"Run or fight?"

"Fucking fight it." And so my life went upside down within a day from an engineer to a demi-god.
