Chapter 4 - Him
I ended up walking out of the hotel and taking some air.
It's not smart, walking around the city at night all alone, but I'm not worried.
Five years of martial arts does give you some confidence in your ability to defend yourself.
I ended up seeing a bunch of people running, squealing and giggling excitingly as they lined up to get into some sort of club.
"Beauty Club" was the name of it, and it seemed to be popular with men and women.
Since I have nothing better to do, I joined the line.
It took fifteen minutes to get into the club, and when I did, I was immediately blown away.
The music being so loud that it detached you from reality, the way that the people were dancing without a care in the world, this is a place of freedom.
I ended up walking to the bar to get that overdue drink.

Whiskey, please.
The bartender nodded and handed me a rectangular glass. I went to pay but the bartender shook his head.
Bartender
You drink free, Miss.
I didn't ask just in case it got taken away.
Drinking for free, that sure sounds nice.
I continued to savour my drink, tasting the elegant nodes of the whiskey.
My father got me into drinking whiskey.
He told me that it was the only drink worthy to be ordered at a bar.
At first, I hated the taste but as I drank it, the taste stuck more and more.
It's an acquired taste, that's for sure.

Okay, everyone! What time is it?
The crowd shouted "Kiss O'Clock!" before turning around and kissing whoever was nearest them.
I was immediately taken aback and went to leave when some guys took a look at me and began approaching like vultures.
No, there's no way I'm kissing any of those perverts.
I began looking around, trying to find someone to pair up with when I saw a man wearing a suit walk out from a corridor right next to the bar.
He looked handsome enough, though I couldn't properly judge in the mild lighting.
Regardless, Marina told me that I needed to be more bold. This is my way of doing that.
Regardless, I rushed up to him and before the man could move, I slipped my arms around his neck and kissed him.
It was a chaste kiss, since I still felt a little shy.
However, just as I was about to leave, the man brought me back and our lips locked.
His mouth was warm and his lips were smooth, and I lost all sense of time and place as I slowly kissed him back.
He pulled away for a moment, looked into my eyes as they opened, and kissed me again.
It was different this time; deeper, full of need.
Her arms were heavy and light all at once and the room twirled around in my head, making me feel dizzy.
I couldn't stop. I liked this.
I liked being kissed, I liked feeling like I was something to someone.
His arm slipped around my waist, and he held me tightly to him as his lips moved against hers.
I put a hand on his shoulder, my fingers digging in lightly until we parted ways.

Are you sure that you wanted to do that?
I took a look at him amongst the flashing lights and the loud music, and I suddenly felt even more free than before.

Is it okay if I said yes?
Liam King
Sort everything out.
The man next to him scurried away.
An assistant perhaps? That must mean that thus guy is important...
He turned back towards me and took me by the wrist, pulling me into the dark, fenced off corridor.
I felt thrills rushing up and down my body as he opened up what seemed to be a private room.
I walked inside and he shut the door behind us.
Once I turned around, I saw him in the dim lighting. He was even more handsome than I'd expected...

I'll ask again, are you sure you wanted to do that?
This guy... perhaps Marina was right. Perhaps I should just take a leap of faith and hope that I don't get burned too badly.
