I used to believe that there was no so-called “spirit” left after a person died.
If spirits had to exist, then it must be only a very small number of people, the kind who died unfulfilled and whose last regrets left them lonely wanderers, forever left to linger upon the earth.
Right now it looked like things weren’t at all what I had imagined.
